This was the worst flying trip I have ever experienced in my life.
I was extremely excited because I was able to go see the women final game which included The University of Connecticut in the Championship game. I have followed the Huskies for over 30 years.
I left San Antonio on April 5th with my first stop at DFW. When I landed at DFW I learned my flight had been canceled to Tampa.
I had no idea what I needed to do. First I was told that American had no other flights to Tampa. No one helped me except to say to get in line for customer service. I have no idea but to me it looked like there were over 200 hundred people in line. I stood in line but the line was moving extremely slow.. I called my daughter that had helped me get the tickets. About one hour later she called me to let me know she was not having any success.But she would keep trying.
I was getting so anxious that I thought about renting a car and drive to Tampa. But I was told it would a 15 hour drive.
My daughter called me again and let me know she had got a flight to Tampa and it would arrive around midnight.
I was able to go see the game and my team won. The women from UConn were the 2025 National Championship.
I left on my return flight on Monday to DFW.
However we were delayed because there was some problems with passengers sitting in wrong sits in the rear of the plane. I was not close enough to know what was causing the delay.
I think we left about 20 or 25 minutes late.
It is my opinion that this delayed caused me to missed my flight from DFW to San Antonio.
There was a flight attendant helping us get to the right gate.
She told me that I would not be able to get to the gate on time to catch my flight.
So she changed my flight to a later flight.
Again I got home much later than I anticipated.
I have been a loyal member of American Airlines during my 32 years when I was employed. I retired in 2006. So I have not flown very much but when I do I always make it a flight on American.
But this particular trip was not a good one for me.
