My experience with Adventure base was 5 Star . Great communication from Beth and Virginia in the lead up.

Wonderful flexibility on the ground in Chamonix, and Excellent Guides. Firstly Fabio who lead and prepared us on Gran Paradiso and Marina who was outstanding on our Summit of Mont Blanc.

We just came back from a fantastic trek from Le Tour to Courmayeur, which was seamlessly organized by Adventure Base. The company was attentive to our abilities as hikers and to our wishes regarding the location and type of accommodation. They were very helpful in meeting us to drop off and pick up luggage that we left behind, and were otherwise responsive to our questions and requests. Would definitely repeat and highly recommend. My sister and I had a great time exploring the TMB. Adventure Base organised practically everything for us so we were free to simply enjoy the adventure.
They responded promptly to and questions before and during the hike, and we wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.

We had a fantastic holiday, and Adventure Base made it so simple for us to plan. It was also really helpful having someone with local knowledge to ask questions for things we needed along the trek. Overall, it was an amazing experience, that I would love to repeat.

The team at Adventure Base are responsive, adaptable and extremely knowledgeable. In advance of the event, the team are approachable and respond very quickly.

During the week in the Alps, the guides they have selected are simply awesome. Experienced and knowledgable. Some pre-training is given and is vital. The guides gathered the teams opinion on decisions regarding itinerary.

We witnessed groups attempting summits in dangerous weather and other groups who turned up at huts without bookings and being told to descend. None of this applied to Adventure Base who had organised and booked and confirmed everything.

The structure of the event allows for flexibility and we had to use a contingency plan due to extreme weather. It didn’t impact the overall experience at all.

I would not hesitate to use Adventure Base again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone considering the adventures they offer.

7 Day Self-guided TBM was an amazing trip. AB planned everything exceptionally well. No issues. I will use them again for my next trip.

My trip from Arolla to Zermatt was truly exhilarating and spectacular. The reason I have not given 5* . The section from La Sage to Zinal was a step to far. Secondly on your original information from Grechen to Europahut using Europaweg. However part of the route collapsed and the diversion, although good creates a lot more descent as well as ascent. Apart from that ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

The direct, face to face meetings with both Beth Gavoille and Charlie Krarup left me feeling that they each genuinely wanted to understand my needs, wants and concerns and would do whatever they could to assist me as much as possible. I never felt that I was simply a customer in a financial transaction with them but rather that they authentically cared about me. You truly felt that you were being listened to.

Amazing!! I had booked to climb Mont Blanc and Gran Paradiso - From start to finish the trip was faultless and ran smoothly, you can really tell how much effort and expertise has gone into making the experience the best it possibly can be.

This was my first proper mountaineering trip (definitely will not be my last) and right from the start I could tell I was in good hands. A lot of information is provided up front from AB regarding the trip, itinerary and also useful kit guides making sure that by the time you arrive in Chamonix you are fully prepared.

Our guide Fabio was awesome… extremely funny, friendly and clearly has a wealth of experience on the mountains. He not only provided us with the key skills that we needed to keep safe on the mountains but also a lot of great stories and humour to keep moral high for those long days on your feet.

I am so glad that I went through AB as they made this trip unforgettable and was a perfect introduction into the world of mountaineering.

Excellent communication before the trip with clear instructions, equipment list and plan. Accommodation was perfect in Chamonix with super friendly host. Guides on the mountain were awesome. Would highly recommend Adventure Base for a well organised and fun trip up a mountain!

We are so pleased with our self-guided 9-day Tour du Mont Blanc trek through Adventure Base. The company had clear communication with us the whole way- from
making our itinerary, checking in before with left the US, checking in once we got to Chamonix, and then while we were on the trail as well. They helped us chose a different route mid hike, making us feel safe and supported.

They also did a lot of small things that went a long way- holding our luggage + dropping it off at our hotel to be ready for us once we were done hiking, providing us with digital + paper maps, a mini trail first aid kit and buffs. We are so thankful to have used them!

We would highly recommend any one looking for explore the alps to use Adventure Base!

We did the TMB with adventure base- family with 2 teenagers. We honestly could not have asked for a better organised self guided tour- the accommodation, bag transfers, food and the communication by Adventure base ( both pre tour when we were in Australia and on the tour) were amazing. Only trumped by Mother Nature- what a beautiful and bucket list walk. Olly, Beth and Virginie were superb and we highly recommend this tour company.

I picked Adventure Base because I wanted to do the Tour du Mont Blanc self guided, but with support, and it was important to me to pick an agency that was local to the TMB so theyd be able to easily provide this support. At one point in my life, I was into researching all the details and planning all the logistics, and this is the first time ive outsourced the planning to someone else. Im super type A and Adventure Base ticked off all the checkboxes for details and organization. I was travelling with my 72 year old father and my 10 year old son and they provided accurate guidance for a reasonable itinerary as well as secure reservations for us at our desired refuges. We ran into some small snafus during the trail and Adventure Base was available over whatsapp for immediate help and was super resourceful on how to get our luggage back to Chamonix from Courmayeur. It's like having a super knowledgeable friend at your fingertips. I also appreciated that the people who work at Adventure Base have done the TMB themselves so they can speak directly as to what the cols are like. 5/5 would recommend and book with them again.
