I think this theme park offers great value and variety of rides. I took my grandchildren here over the bank holiday weekend and they had a great time. Good quality rides, short queues and very safe

Not as great anymore :(
I have lived in Southend my whole life, and to be honest used to love taking the kids, in my opinion the reason the annual passes are now so cheap is because they have taken away some of the best rides, like dogdems, go carts, even taken away a few of the new ones, there are no barely any rides now, and there are more food shops and seating (which isn’t too bad) but they need to have seating and quite a few rides, as in a couple hours they have done all the rides. I just feel it has gone done a lot which is sad as I used to take my nephews nearly every weekend as they enjoyed it! The only bit that is worth anything is the inside bit! Even so the soft play still don’t have enough seating for parents to sit and wait as kids go of in to the soft play!
Personally I would make the annual pass more like 80 quid and then have that as adventure island and the sealife centre for 12momths!
Maintenance Issues and poor customer service
Ridiculous rules, expensive and customer service non existent. Made to wait on a number of rides because the maintenance wasn't up to scratch.
Visited today with family it’s a nice…
Visited today with family it’s a nice clean place with friendly staff and they seemed happy good variety of rides but seemed to be more eating places than rides and expensive bought a slush puppy for £3.25 and it smelt of eggs took it back for refund they said it was ok but it wasn’t so got money back but they threw away the rest of slush anyway so it was bad my advice take own food and drinks because in the park it’s a rip off
An amazing find!
This was my first visit to Adventure Island today with my daughter. We were so impressed by the staff, each and every single one of them worked so hard with enthusiasm, patience and humour. They are a credit to their employer….👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I also think that the place is great value for money and bought an annual pass, we can’t wait to go back. We even had a no quibble replacement when we bought a stick of rock that wasn’t well.. like a rock.. 😂 again with humour and a smile. We thought the place was fab!!
love!
As a not for profit business we buy adventure island tickets & fundraise with adventure island to help raise funds for our organisation
I regularly speak to Coral & Jake in customer service & I have never had a bad interaction
We recently had a breakin, and our tickets were stolen, but Coral sent us out replacements free of charge & Jake helped with a customer who had bough tickets during the robbery that were now void
Can never fault them, adventure island customer service team are amazing
It is horrible rules
It is horrible rules.diffenret day different policy, no allowed my kids ride for axis because she is 9 years old.we bought annual ticket, this is not our first time to ride axis.different staff different standard.poor service.
I hadn't visited Southend for a good…
I hadn't visited Southend for a good 10+ years: my last memory prior to a recent trip was "A dump"
A friend of mine took his little girl and claimed it was an excellent day out.
So in the Thursday I headed down. The outside was shut so we enjoyed the inside area. We had a great time (she's 4). I promised we would grab mummy and come back on the weekend.
Well, we did. What an excellent day out (turned into 2 days, we got a hotel as we had a great time)
The whole place is run by extreamly enthusiastic teenagers. Every single one of them were polite, energetic and made my daughter feel so special. The whole
Place was clean and it didn't take long to get on anything.
I've read the previous comments about the security being arrogant or rude.
I disagree. There were so many down there it was nice to see them doing their job!
Honestly, we had such a great time creating memories I would have no hesitation going back.
The whole team including management have done a great job.
5* without question

We went for a family day out Monday …
We went for a family day out Monday with a mix of 4 to 21 years old as well as 7 adults and we all had an amazing time hats of to the staff and security it was a busy day considering it was bank holiday but all staff was friendly helpful the staff managing the rides had this amazing energy that in the last few weeks busting Chessington and various other family days out I was not met with th3 energy Southend brought the staff was hyping all the kids up in the most magical way an the best bit was the kids had the most amazing time but the staff looked like they really enjoyed the experience queuing times for main rides was about 15 minutes sanitising the rides was taking place on such a busy day they absolutely smashed it at South end pier adventure Island there was a mini scuffle but staff assisted and insured nobody got hurt while handling the situation we won on the duck games 4 times and walked away with a huge bright strawberry big ball thankyou for the experience
Loved it
Loved it, buy tickets online before you go, going in the summer hols will be busy so ignore those say you have to queue ages as to be excepted!!! but park open 12h so we got on everything twice.
Dont listen to those moaning about paying extra for go karts, they clearly state they are run by another company and not included in the price of £20 ticket.
Queues are too long.
Had to pay £5 each for go-karts without being warned that there was a one and a half hour queue for this premium service. The wristband passes, even at the online price of £20, are not worth it because with waits like that for the main rides you can’t get your money’s worth anyway. Tickets for individuals rides only cost £2.50 each.
Absolute joke
Absolute joke, £50 for a 1 year old and a adult, queues ridiculsly long, food stall waited 15 mins to get food cooked, young kids cooking and just joking about, complained to manager and seemed to think it was acceptable
Won’t be rushing back
Avoid avoid avoid
Visited with grandchildren , paid £100 couldn’t get on rides as they were always being cleaned , asked for a refund as we could t go on anything , the manger was extremely rude , I won’t be returning and do not recommend. Avoid , avoid , avoid
Waste of time & money.
Waste of time and money. Expensive and confusing. Lots of restrictions. Gone with family and will never go again. Wasted a day.
Poor poor poor
Dreadfull customer service...security rude and arrogant...food poor...they dont care about you complaining ,and do nothing but give smug arrogant responses...dreadfull place...would avoid at all cost..
Excellent day out
Excellent day out, short queueing times, staff very friendly with the younger children, would recommend especially after a terrible experience at chessington.
We visited Adventure Island on 15th …
We visited Adventure Island on 15th July ( a late Saturday afternoon at around 5pm ).
My partner had vouchers so we were lucky to not have to pay full price.
The good news was that the Rides were pretty empty so our 2 Teenagers could get a lot of rides in before we left.
The bad part of our experience was the Catering experience.
There is a Pizza/ Pasta 'Restaurant' up some stairs which overlooks the Park with an outside Terrace.
Excellent we thought!..we could order some nice White Wine and sit out and watch the Kids enjoying themselves...i asked one of the Young staff members serving if there was outside Service or did we have to order inside.
'Inside ' he said....so i asked for a Bottle of Chardonnay and 2 Glasses!
'Sorry, we do not have any Chardonnay....ONLY Pinot Grigio...and you have to order Food if you wish to sit outside!'
There was not ONE person sitting outside at the time...by now around 6pm on a Summer Saturday Evening and the "Restaurant' inside was hardly overflowing with 'Diners'...Perhaps they don't care!.....the way they don't care about letting their new Staff members try the Rides for Free so they can give feedback on them (i know because i asked one of them).... the way they Rob you of £1.85 for a small bottle of water...
That's the Problem with this Place....it could be so much better....
Customer service there is pointless
They did not want to know when I made a complaint. Staff watched as someone pushed in front off us and jumped into our seats after we waited for 20mins patiently. They took the pushers side and simple could not be bothered. The rides lack maintainance, they are always looking for quick cheap fixes such as s plastic bag over live electrical wires as protection. The park has no less than 13 food stands. That's 1 for every 2 rides.....
