Great customer service
We have flown with Aegean many times over the years and always been happy with our experience. The staff at check in and the flight crew are always great.
We flew with Aegean to Athens and then on to Kos in November 2025. The flight to Athens was late taking off from Heathrow, meaning we missed our connecting flight. We were understandably very anxious about the situation. We went straight to the Aegean customer desk at Athens and spoke to Argyro Pap who was brilliant. She booked us on another flight the following day and gave us a choice of flight times. She then booked us into the airport hotel 2 mins across the road. Argyro was very professional and knowledgeable and helped us feel a lot calmer and made us feel like we mattered. We decided to treat the stay at the hotel as just part of our holiday so we didn’t feel like we’d lost out on a days holiday and the hotel and hotel staff were lovely.
Also, the initial delay wasn’t directly the fault of Aegean but they have been very fair with compensating us with 2, one way tickets back to Greece which we will be using later this year. All in all 2 very satisfied customers and a good result from what could have been a bad start to our holiday Thank you Aegean and Argyro :)

I booked this flight in advance and I have a flight immediately after it going to London!
I spoke to them on the phone and their advice was to show up for the flight to see whether I can get on it or not!
Sky express is a more professional airline... do not trust aegean/olympic air unless you dont mind not being allowed to board last minute

Since everyone just takes time to write bad reviews, I decided to do the opposite. I was really surprised by the quality of service of Aegean. We flew from Lisbon to Athens and the staff was extraordinary, feeding us all the way (you don't get food included on European airlines anymore these days) and always ready to help. There was a major storm in Athens and the pilot handled it really well. I think it is my favorite European airline right now. Thank you!

Booked with them 2 flights.
In a month time they have changed the flight and delayed 4 times now and there is less than 50 minutes between flights so i will loose my second flight which is their goal to make me pay for another flight although i also paid for flex rate so more. Sent an email 2nd january 2026 and called but no answer till this day i have never received a reply and sent them another email and contacted them on instagram tiwce and they don't want to help. I want to cancel the flight but i will loose money and they cannot even help me with that. Biggest company scam in the world! I have travlled in more than 30 countries and never experience this type of scam not even in middle east. Do not book these thieves!
An unprofessional airline
Booked 2 passengers London - Athens - Thessaloniki return. All four flights almost fully booked … very cramped conditions in economy despite stated seat pitch. Informed many days before departure one of booked seats not available … my partner was moved I wasn’t (plenty of available seats on the seat plan ) I was informed I had to phone customer service in Greece at my own expense to re arrange two seats together and pay extra for the nearest available two seats together. Boarding the aircraft it was clearly evident I had been lied to about the reason to require a seat change. Aegean airlines hub airport in Athens is not to be recommended for ease of transfer between flights.

Bagage lost- total abandonment by Aegean - holiday severly compromised
I am currently three days into my holiday and instead of relaxing, I am spending my waking hours in a state of constant stress trying to reach an Aegean representative.
My checked baggage never arrived in Athens. After a grueling 90-minute wait in line with 60 other Aegean clients at 3 AM in Athens airport with no Aegean staff present—only overwhelmed airport ground crew—I have been met with a complete wall of silence. I have sent emails, filled out forms, and called a hotline that is never answered.
Through my own AirTag, I can see my bag is as of now still sitting in Geneva, yet Aegean cannot be bothered to provide even a single update. It is incredibly frustrating and time-consuming to have to do the airline's job for them while my vacation time is being stolen by their incompetence. Being completely left on my own without basic essentials nor any communication is absolutely unacceptable. Aegean has turned a time for relaxation into a logistical nightmare.
Excellent crew service
We flew with Aegean twice during the Christmas period (Manchester to Athens, return). Both flights were incredible! I really appreciated the melomakarona on 23/12, as well as the festive feeling on the New Year's flight. Everything was amazing, and I would really like to thank the crew!

The airline does not care about customers at all.
We had a cancelled flight while we were in Athens and the staff was extremely rude to us. The staff did not know any details about reimbursement and rescheduling flights, so they kept on dragging us for hours through the airport trying to find some information.
They do not provide any assistance with rescheduling flights and booking accommodation in case of cancelled flights.

disappointing...no jet steps for this airline..
As a regular traveller I dislike airlines that for no evident reason do not approach passenger jet steps - probably to avoid expenses - parks away using the good old bus as a century ago, rain, heat or snow packed like sardines...Aegean would get nobel prize, they continue with the good old bus. Very expensive, plus check in bag, plus seat choice, plus eveything but the use of toilet... no use....
If I could put 0 stars i would
Horrible company they cancelled my flight due to the war between Israel and Iran, but told me i have one year to rebook it. When i wanted to rebook it they told me that i can't and just can get 39 € refunded (When I paid 400€) because i used the flight back home. Such disproportionate amount considering that i had to book a ticket last minute (as a student) with another company because they didn't propose another alternative. I booked with Luftansa and they also cancelled my flight but rebooked me with another company unlike Aegean. Really its low cost but for a reason do not recommend
Worst airlines in the entire world
Worst airlines I’ve ever been in for my entire life. Everything bad. During my passport check they took several minutes just checking it then told me to stand infront of the camera and then put my fingerprints multiple times. Several minutes later asking me to do it again like I’m not the person in the passport. Took 10 minutes to even get through just for the checking to tell me to take off my glasses too like there’s obviously no harm in having glasses. Once I finally got through all that I was hoping to relax and have some food just for this place to not have any air conditioning and I was feeling hot the entire time… The place was also super small and not fun to be in and barely anywhere to go. My biggest complaint is how there was no food. Barely any places to eat and the places you could eat were all bad with the food being raw and not well made… no snacks either or they were just bad. After there was no food I wanted some ice cream but when I went to that place there was no one standing there at all even though it was clearly open. I left this place empty stomach. No fun, no experience, everything bad. If there was 1 airport I wouldn’t recommend it would be this one…
Lastly I want to complain about the airplane itself. Yet again barely any air conditioning until you actually take off. No TV to watch anything or play games or look at the flight progress. No plug for me to charge my devices. The tray would be diagonal when I opened it.
Never go here you will have the worst experience of your entire life. Save yourself

My flight connection from Larnaca to Budapest was disrupted by a delayed flight and a a busy airspace. Upon landing in Athens, I found out on the Aegean app that I was rerouted through Frankfurt with a late night arrival which was not convenient for me due to work requirements. I went to the Aegean desk and within 10 minutes I was put onto tomorrow's direct flight to Budapest, got booked into an airport hotel room with full board and even managed to recover my bags for the unexpected overnight stay fairly easily. I have had my fair share of missed connections with disastrous experiences but this one has been expertly handled by Aegean so I have decided to post a 5-star review.

If we could rate it below zero we would of done it !!! Horrible experience from their non existent customer service! My parents flew from Madrid to Athens their overbooked the plane and they left them in Madrid with no flights booked for the next plane in the middle of the night , no accommodation or anything else. The Spanish staff from Aegean treated them like they were rubbish to them and they were extremely rude. The lady giving the boarding passes told them to shut up 3 times when they said they would like to fly back to rheir country with their existing flight. They were laughing at them and left them with no info ! Aegean you are disgusting 🤮 we definitely won’t ever fly with you again and none of our family members or friends ! Good luck being rude and disrespectful to your customers
Compared to other companies
Compared to other companies, they really have a lot of plus, making customer feel comfortable. The first difference in noticed traveling with them is that at the entrance a frying attendant waits sharing sweets, something that you do not see it in bigger companies. They also share during the flight a snack and coffee or juice or water for free.
