Two defective earbuds and shady customer service

UPDATE: the shop reached out to me once again and said they will ask trustpilot to delete this review, this is the second time they’re asking me to remove a negative review. Once again: most terrible service I ever got.

I bought earbuds from AeonFly in March 2026. The first pair arrived with a broken case that wouldn’t close. They sent a replacement open-box white pair. Those were defective too — muffled sound, weird noises, like they’d been wet.
Support said they “look fine” and that the problem happens with every pair because of the weather. They only agreed to a return after I mentioned a chargeback, and even tried to charge me a 25% restocking fee.
As soon as I left a negative review they emailed me asking me to remove it so they would send the refund label. They only sent the label after I deleted the review.
Won’t buy from them again. Stay away

AeonFly jacks up the price, smelling a profit to be had.

I was shopping on the AeonFly site looking for a HDD. It was $422, but I needed 4 matching for a Network Video Recorder. Seeing the item was in stock but not knowing if they had 4 matching I contacted the chat to ensure that I would not be short shipped nor sent drives that were not matching. "Barry" kept asking irrelevant questions, in order for his colleagues raise the price to $798.

Friendly and helpful

In my case, it was an order to Europe. Even though there were some hurdles to overcome, the staff remained friendly and helpful.

Watch out, you order, and then it is out of stockl

I purchased a hard drive, that showed in stock - all was great. The next day I contacted the company to get the tracking number for shipment, and while I was waiting, I looked on the siteand noticved the price trippled on the site for the hard dirve I purchased. The contact person said the order is in-process and I will get the tracking information shortly. Then I get a phone call I'm sorry the product is out of stock.

Above and beyond to source hard to find products!

I had a cancelled order for a hard-to-find, discontinued part, but the team at Aeonfly went above and beyond to source the exact new-condition part for me. They were truly one of the only suppliers who could deliver!

The communication throughout the process was excellent. Despite a small, final issue with import charges (as a result of sourcing), the team was responsive and helped clarify the situation quickly. I was happy to pay the reasonable additional cost for them to secure this rare item.

I would absolutely recommend Aeonfly and will certainly be keeping them in mind for any future orders. They provided fantastic service and a great solution to a difficult sourcing challenge. Thank you!

Barry Coleman is the Best!

Barry Coleman is the Best! Barry helped out tremendously weather it came to helping me source the material and had answers for every question I had. Barry went above and beyond to ensure that the items that were quoted would arrive in a timely fashion, given the urgency of the deadline. I would happily go back to Barry whenever I need anything from AeonFly again. I would recommend Barry to any one of my colleagues.

Surface Pro X case non-existent.

Surface Pro X case non-existent.

I wasn't going to write a review, but just quietly go elsewhere for what I needed. However, I have been repeatedly asked to leave a positive review. My review is neutral.

I was looking for a Surface Pro X case (they are hard to find if you don't want the portfolio type). I found the very thing I was looking for here on Aeonfly. The same day my order was confirmed (1/7/2026), I received a call saying that they didn't have the case I ordered, they had one with a pen. To clarify, I asked if the only difference between the the case I ordered and the one they have in stock was that it comes with a pen?! The response was yes, so I said that was fine.

What I received was a case for Surface Pro 4, 5, 6, & 7. Not for a Pro X. And no, no pen was included. Clearly something was not understood on either end. So, I reached out via chat on the website (1/13/2026) to let them know they sent the wrong one. I was asked to provide photos via email. I took photos and explained that the case doesn't work with my computer.

Back and forth through email, I had to explain the differences between the Surface Pro X and the Surface Pros (4, 5 6, and 7) that are supposed to fit the case. I also had to explain that there was no such thing as a Surface Pro X 4. I was told that, per the manufacturer's recommendation, this case was a suitable replacement. I had to do the legwork to show photos and web links of reviews comparing the Surface Pro X and the Surface Pro 4 before Barry could finally understand that the case was not a suitable recommendation as it was completely unusable (1/15/2026).

I was told that he would issue an RMA so that I may return the case. I waited a week before reaching out to ask whether the RMA was coming to my mailing address or my email (1/22/2026). I had to wait another day for him to get back to me.

When he called me the next day, I was told that I could keep the case and they would issue me 50% of my money back. If they were to create an RMA, it would take some time to receive a refund (as they would have to receive it back first and also deduct for their restocking fee). I took the offer for half a refund as I didn't want to deal with them anymore at this point.

I have to say, that Barry has been polite in the exchanges. That made it easier to maintain patience with him even when I was getting a little frustrated with all the back-and-forth emails. I also received a little bit more than 50% of my money back (including taxes and shipping). I would like to think that as long as there was no issue with me receiving the correct item, I would have a much more positive review to share.

The shipping/ delivery experience BAD.

The shipping/ delivery experience was really bad. A week late from when we were told we were suppose to receive our order. Had to deal with multiple freight vendors to locate our order. We were given the run around for a week.
