Account Locked

My account has been locked since early March due to “suspicious activity.” I’ve called Affirm multiple times, emailed them, and verified my identity with my ID, and I’m still unable to log in. It’s genuinely ridiculous. I can’t even make payments on my loans.

Affirm is useless

I ordered an item, expensive one 1500 dollars, and they sent the item with the incorrect items. I reached out to the vendor for weeks with no response, emails and calls. So I set up a dispute which with any other company is a great tool to help remedy issues. Apparently not with affirm. Not only did they not help but they kept telling me I didn’t submit proof of the issue, you literally can see my attachments in the case and they still denied my dispute and are claiming they will send me to collections. I literally asked for help to get this returned as I can’t get ahold of them and all affirm is telling me is we don’t care. Waste of time!

Emailed you per your instructions, guess what… not even a response. Good luck out there people

I received a text message on Saturday February 21, saying that a new device login detected from Phoenix AZ, if you didn’t authorize this device reply no. I didn’t see the text until that Monday February 23, I texted no, and immediately after that I received a call. I had a balance of $1,055.00, she told me she was going to reset my account, she then asked me for the full Affirm card number. She then started telling me to do different things in the apps. Then she started telling me to put in different dollars amount, first it was $2,500 the $1,500 then $980, she said she was going to closed that account and issue me a new card, it would take ten to fourteen days to receive. After the call ended with her, I went back in the apps and $980 and loan was on my account, Level Retail Americas Cor. Date 2/23/26 same day I talked with the representative I don’t know what else was charged but my balance was showing $2365.50 I call back this time I talk to a man, explain to him, he place me on hold, came back and adjusted my total from $ 2365.50 to $2186.45, I told him that was unacceptable, my balance was $1,055.00 to begin. $300.00 was declined to this company. On 3/14/26 I seen where $98.45 was coming due, so I called, this lady was closing the account that was supposed to be closed February. I call back again 3/18/26. The representative I talked to this time actually closed the account two days later I get a replacement card that I will never activate. Once again another charge, this time it to Dyson Airstrait, I recieved an email saying the product was delivered on 3/23/26 to Shirley Pickens 8020 NW 66th St. Miami Florida, 33195, keep in mind I lived in Mississippi. Don’t even deserve one star

Avoid at all costs

Found out the shop I’d purchased items from was a scam. Tried to raise a dispute with Affirm but the website just takes you round in circles. Managed to get it done only when I used the complaint form. Nearly a month later and I still don’t have my money back. DO NOT USE!!!

I want to say I love Affirm and Thank you so much!

I want to say I love Affirm. I started with around $300.00 several years ago. I have been approved in less than 3 minutes.
I appreciate The affirmative customer service. I am surprised to see negative reviews. I have not had that experience. They have helped me if I don’t know how to put the loan through. My home was vandalized and I have had to start over.
I financed a refrigerator with Home Depot. I financed both my LG washer and dryer with extended warranty.
I bought my Diamond Heart earrings
My truck broke down and the estimate was $9,000.00 it was at the Dealership for 2 months waiting on the parts. Affirm approved my asking loan of $4,000.00 and then I was told there was a leak and the dealership wanted another $2,000.00 I was approved in minutes.
The Customer service helped me do the loan it went right through.
The secret is to never ever be late and I made extra payments and paid it off.
I have had so many loans through Affirm. Thank you Affirm I got my truck back
It’s been a rough New Years 2026 being without my vehicle for 2 months and taking Ubers and paying for food deliveries. It’s been costly. They have been awesome, amazing customer service. I have nothing but nice things to say. This is not a paid review. It’s from the heart. They have so many different stores you can get loans on. It was nice I was able to pay all together $6 thousand dollar loan with their help for the Service Department. I have a lot of Maintenance to do this year and it’s costly. But I love my Super Duty 4X4 my Fishing truck. Not getting rid of it. So grateful Affirm approved my many loans. They are my go to for sure.

I've been using Affirm for years now…

I've been using Affirm for years now and have never missed a payment and have even paid many of my purchases off early. None of this matters now because I have lost all of my purchase power with no clear explanation why. All I get is the same copy and paste response that lists many possible reasons why I'm being denied but, none of them listed apply to me and my credit situation. I gave up trying to reach a human at Affirm to get answers. Very frustrating especially when you are seeing you have available purchase power at a retailer on the Affirm app and find out when you go to check out, it was a lie. Very deceitful way to lure patrons into using Affirm. Can't wait to pay off what I currently owe and be done with them.

Ruining Credit Unfairly

BEWARE- I returned an item and did not receive a refund from the company, so in Dec 2025 I opened a dispute with AFFIRM. The day I opened the dispute is also the day my first payment was due, and the agent said not to worry about that, payments are paused during disputes. However, the case is still in disputed status, at the end of March 2026, and now AFFIRM is reporting delinquent payments to credit bureaus, despite the fact that AFFIRM acknowledging that they are preventing me from making any payment on a disputed case. None of the agents understand, they keep transferring me to a new person, no one can answer any questions, no one will give me their law team's contact info. Completely unhelpful. Everyone knows how big of a deal detrimental marks on credit scores are- higher insurance payments, higher interest rates, it even effects employability in some sectors. This is an outrageous predicament to be in, and there appears to be absolutely no way to solve it with AFFIRM.

Affirm is an absolute nightmare to deal…

Affirm is an absolute nightmare to deal with. I submitted a dispute for a refund due to the merchant not responding to my emails to request a refund. Per the merchants policy you can request a refund of the item if it is unused with tags intact (which it is), I uploaded documentation showing my email requests and the lack of response from merchant. Affirm decided to side with merchant citing “Affirm lacks sufficient evidence from customer and/or merchant” what more evidence does affirm need!? They clearly side with merchants because it means money in their pockets. Today, I called to dispute the decision and of course their customer service agent is overseas and barely understands or speaks English and has now set up another “dispute” I will NEVER use Affirm.

Affirm Ongoing Continues 4/5/26 (update) Illegally Upholds Contracts for Defective Equipment Sides with Sham Companies - CFPB complaint being filed

Complaint 1, Hume Health. Company is a sham. The internet (the customers paying) knows it, It is well documented. The customer service is a sham. I have been forced to appeal multiple times when it is well documented and provided hours of work to waste documenting to Affirm -- Hume contacted day arrived with function issues, requested return, admits devices defective, Hume admits will to pay a refund. YET Hume has not cancelled a contract with Affirm and YET Hume contract stands, despite very clearly documented, grounds and laws supporting such cancel of contract . Affirm customer service make it sound like the right thing will of course be resolved, but Affirm also refuses verbally on phone not to provide any documents and to my written requests for even copies of what I've submitted as evidence as proof of what they are supposedly using to determine legitimacy of MY claim. It is a fraudulent situation indeed, ongoing since arrival of product now approx 70days ago -- !! regarding whatever these companies are saying is the reason somehow contracts needs not be cancelled. It is an absolute farce by Affirm, and nowhere within Consumer Affairs Standard Practices for receiving working items when paid, and refunded/assisted to return when not.
Complaint 2 Regenalight. Again, a product arrives damaged, reached out day of arrival. Company ignores. Product does not work. Company ignores requests for return, label, refund. Complain filed with Affirm, I have just submitted my 3rd time to cancel contract. Company provides false information, Affirm just takes the scam company at their word which ALSO disregards consumer protections that they must be provided items in working condition .. but hey .. resubmitted, more Sham business practices by both companies ...
Affirm apparently is happy to continue to do business and fleece people for funds along with these SHAM companies, which is shameful, as this consumer has thoroughly documented and complied, been lied to by all parties and continues to have active contracts that are essentially illegal when reviewed through lens of each companies own policies AND national consumer fair protection laws. Yet, here I am writing this review.

Additionally, while they will advertise that your payments are hold while investigating, be sure to know they will rule again your legitimate claim, and then make ALL previous payments become immediately due and are also now considered Late??

You will read other reviews where Affirm will hold people accountable for the interest accruing in this manner, which is shocking.

I will be filing multiple agencies regarding AFFIRMS practices that are illegal lOOK UP: Truth in Lending Act (TILA)
Regulation Z – 12 CFR § 1026.13

Ok, now to go file my CFPB complaint.
These companies all cause financial harm to consumers through the same delay tactics that the nonrefunding sham companies engage in.

My responsed to that nothing of a response. Affirm doesn't care. Writing to their customercare does nothing. They play coconut shell games with their messaging in boxes, closing my request for updating my status as paid, it says resolved, and the contract canceled WHILE IT ALSO SAYS I OWE MONEY? So, I post this into the communications -- and no response - it is CLOSED>
I wrote:
"However my status says I have late payments due. Does not reflect dispute resolved in my favor which leaves
me effectively in poor standing with Affirm

Please resolve these concerns immediate"
and
"Pls update for accuracy to reflect dispute is settled in my favor and that I am NOT responsible for for anything at all"
and provided a picture of the contract stating resolved but responsible -- for exactly what, tho? the zero balance? then say it is fully resolved. Not that I am responsible for payments and interest!

And still one of my disputes remains unresolved.
AFFIRM, you are disappointing the people you are supposed to be in relationship with. This is illegal behaviors.

Your response was nothing. As if you responded to email in an appropriate or helpful manner? You are embarrasing yourself. Look at all your reviews here alone.

FIX the theft of consumer funds by not being a party to it and doing right by the people being stolen from AND stop stealing yourself please!!!!

Garbage customer service, potential for fraud is HIGH

I received a scam phone call asking for a code and stupidly gave it to them. I called customer service to get a robot that was no help. Then I did the chat customer service and they passed me along to over ten agents. I just wanted to close my account so no one could get into it and lock me out. And by the end of the two customer service chats I had to open (the first one I was transferred over 5 times and then was getting no response at all) and then the second chat they ended up transferring multiple times before someone even understood me. Then he said I can’t cancel the account for 48 hours.
Now I just have to sit here; hope and pray no one uses that code to get into my account, lock me out, and take out loans in my name attached to my credit. I am terrified and everyone needs to be VERY careful. They don’t protect you in these scenarios. The information in the app requires no password to change (phone numbers, emails, etc) so anyone who accesses it with that code can lock you out without needing a password. Scary.

Totally Disappointed

I used Affirm for the fist time an am extremely disappointed. The refund process is too convoluted. Their system doesn't allow for the documentation they require. It indicates the files are too large . I've contacted the vendor with a refund request, but the responsibility is still on me to make payment for a product that os spoiled and I cannot consume. I have closed my Affirm account.

Super Inconsistent

These guys are all over the place with their approvals. I’d get approved for $800 credit payments, complete those payments and later get denied for a $200. Even with a flawless record like mine of BNPL You never get an explanation except some canned stupid response. I have 730+ credit score and this company absolutely drives me nuts and I cringe everytime I see a merchant offer Affirm. I’d rather see Afterpay, Klarna, or even Square does a better job than these idiots.

I just closed my account and I’ll NEVER EVER use them again. You guys are absolutely garbage!

This has been one of the worst…

This has been one of the worst financial experiences I’ve ever dealt with, and Affirm made an already bad situation significantly worse.

I used Affirm to finance a service for dropshipping support. The person I hired turned out to be a scammer — they failed to deliver what was promised, misrepresented their services, and ultimately admitted fault. We even reached a settlement because of it. This was not a misunderstanding — it was clearly a fraudulent situation.

What makes this even more frustrating is that Affirm provides a platform that marketers and service providers can use, yet there seems to be little to no accountability when those providers turn out to be dishonest. There is no real vetting or protection for consumers.

Despite me explaining everything and providing details, Affirm refused to take meaningful action. Instead, they continued to hold me responsible for the full amount as if I received the service — which I did not.

Now they have actually sent my account to collections.

So not only was I scammed out of money, but Affirm has now damaged my credit and escalated the situation, forcing me to deal with collections over a transaction tied to fraud. This is beyond unacceptable — it feels completely unjust and predatory.

Affirm markets itself as a consumer-friendly financing option, but my experience has been the opposite. There was no protection, no support, and no willingness to step in when things clearly went wrong.

I would strongly caution anyone considering using Affirm, especially for services or online marketing offers. If something goes wrong, you may be left paying for a scam — and even worse, dealing with collections — while Affirm does nothing to help.

I would give them O stars too!Terrible Customer Service and never buy a Vacation Package deal through Priceline or any vacation…it’s miss leading ,hidden none refundable right under flights in tiny letters none refundable but on top of Vacation packages it says refundable with reasonable cancellation anyway Afirm never explains anything to you when you call and ask and they don’t give a shit as long as they get there money…none of the customer service or the supervisors know anything!Never again will I use affirm beware!!!and what they say below this is all bullshit there telling there Customers that spend thousands of dollars👇👇👇👇👇💩💩💩💩💩

I would give Affirm 0 stars if I could

I would give Affirm 0 stars if I could. Worst company to deal with. I needed to hire a lawyer and they used affirm to have me pay. My husband died 8hrs after talked to the lawyer so I told her we couldn't do the guardianship anymore. He died on the 10th & they put the loan through on the 11th. I told affirm I wanted to dispute the transaction because nothing was ever done. But they kept telling me that I had to pay. Because there was no proof. I said what proof can I give you. They didn't do anything for me. I sent you the death certificate that he passed away on the 10th. You put the loan through on the 11th. When the law firm finally put the credit through. Affirm is still harassing me that I owe them the money. I told them contact the law firm. They will tell you they sent the money back. No. They are still harassing me. They are fraudulent co. Trying to collect money twice. I want the harassment to stop! You have the money I have the copy of the credit that went through. Don't ever use affirm!!! You will be sorry!!!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Once you wade through their A.I. BS and finally get an agent you'll wish you were still arguing with the A.I. They have no power to fix, change or resolve any problems. They read off canned responses and will just transfer you from agent to agent until you get frustrated and just give up. Today was the last day for me to give up so I'm here warning you to not use their services. USE Klarna instead. They charged me for payment plans I did not make and refused to refund my money until they have held it long enough to make interest off the money. If you don't have their useless app then you can't see half of the info they have for you regarding CC's or interest payments they are charging you. They also crested a CC account for me that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE OR ASK THEM FOR and they mailed the CC to an address I no longer reside at! If I could give them negative stars I would. it's no wonder their TP score is abysmal.

Abysmal customer service

Abysmal customer service. I cal with one question and get transferred to 3 different departments. They are all Indian and I can hardly understand them. I had fraudulent purchases on my account now they locked me out of my account and won't show me anything I ha e cash I put in my affirm bank account I can't see if its there or how much I had since they locked me out of my account. AVOID THIS COMPANY it is not worth it.

No Standards

Reply to AFFIRM; its with EVERYWHERE, including the ones offered to me on your app. There's no confusion, its exactly how I said it was.
How do I have a 730 credit score, 9 year credit history, and a full time job paying almost 6 figures, and yet you guys cant help me buy a 300 dollar desk?
What a terrible company, they never actually have standards, ive noticed they only accept people who have a history of not being able to pay. If you have a history of always paying, they never accept you.
