Travelled with AM for the Comrades Marathon last week. Their organisation took all the stress out of accommodation and transfers. Their race organisation arrangements took all the stress out of the time around the race. All that was left for me to do was run the race and here once again they provided support during the race. Will definitely be travelling with them again and can't wait to.do so. In no set order Amy, Nicole, Mandla, Rob and, the man in the hat, Clyde are all awesome.

We got a transfer to the hotel, were well-briefed on the whole trip by the team. Aside from the marathon, the team organised lots of activities and everything ran smoothly. The hotels were really good. Any questions the staff were on hand to help. It was really well-organised and stress-free

What’s great; guaranteed entry for two oceans

What’s not so great;
Comms was re-active passive post raceday , half the crew were already left early.
No transport back to airport although advertised
No 2 weeks Runna app although advertised
Missed me during course /run
On course photo’s not shared / or not responded to a gentle two reminders to date (3 weeks after the event) which I find quite offensive.

Meticulously organised from start to finish with all the stress removed so you can concentrate on the important bit: your race! So good I went back for a second year running and look 👀 forward to another soon. Making lifelong friends along the way - what’s not to love 😍

I had the pleasure of running Two Oceans Marathon for the very first time with Africa Marathons and it was so well organised and such a great experience.
We actually did the full weekender (56km saturday and 21km sunday) and we staying in a the most beautiful hotel that made it such a relaxing weekend despite having some pretty big mileage in there.

I can't tell you how lovely the full time team Rob, Clyde and Amy are too. There is nothing they hadn't thought of and made sure I felt welcome, safe and comfortable at all times without having to think of any logistics. They went above and beyond on making sure we had support on course, hydration, food and of course easy transport home with our tired legs. It's no wonder a great bunch of people go on these group trips and keep going back year on year when the lovely team attract lovely people.
Hannah was also fab on social media, making us have a giggle and get to know each other quickly with fun runs, bar recommendations and of course do some fun videos if we felt up for it.

I can't wait to go back to South Africa for another of their races... did someone say Comrades 2026...

I’ve now travelled with Africa Marathons four times and will definitely be travelling with them again.

The pre-, during and post-race logistics are perfectly planned out. All the stresses of running an overseas race are taken care of and allowed me, and others, to fully enjoy the experience.

I was very much made to feel a part of a team, and it’s a personal goal of Rob, Clyde & Co to make sure everyone in that team has a truly memorable time.

Comrades Marathon is a must and so is travelling with Rob, Clyde and the Africa Marathons team. Highly recommend!

We’ve used Africa marathons on 6 trips now, their attention to detail and care for their clients is nothing short of excellent. You can just enjoy the spirit of race day without the faff of worrying about getting to the start or the expo and Rob and Clyde will sort out any other needs for you with no fuss. They are the ultimate boutique running specialists, you feel so much more special than when going with the bigger operators. Highly recommended! Although don’t everyone use them as they are our little secret.

This year and last year I attended (and completed!) Comrades with Africa Marathons, and I can honestly say both experiences were absolutely incredible , far beyond anything I expected. Rob, Clyde, and the rest of the African Marathons team were phenomenal. Their attention to detail and seamless logistics took all the stress out of the pre-race build-up, allowing us runners to focus, relax, and truly enjoy the journey.

They create such a warm, supportive environment that makes the whole trip , not just the race , feel genuinely special. From start to finish, everything is handled with care , professionalism , and a personal touch that sets them apart.

African Marathons don’t just organise a race trip , they craft unforgettable South African adventures.
If you’re thinking about running Comrades or any of their other South African races, I can’t recommend them highly enough.

They make it their mission to get to know you and look after you - this personal touch extends to sorting out the practical difficulties & hazards that can happen when you enter a race abroad.
They are excellent - if you plan to run a marathon in Africa, you should go with these guys!
