Beware of redeeming a voucher!

Interesting to read a previous review on here about the booking being cancelled -I made a booking 3 MONTHS in advance for the CADOGAN - a luxury hotel part of the Belmont Group. I mentioned in the booking info box that I wanted to redeem a Belmont voucher (was given one for £60 for Christmas). Had a lovely email confirmation 'We are delighted to confirm' etc. But 2 hours later a terse email arrived 'Your booking at the Cardogan has been cancelled' with a phone number to ring but no explanation as to why Tried the number but was permanently busy. So are afternoon tea.co.uk just the messenger here and the Cadogan has cancelled it? in which case I am thinking they cancelled it because I mentioned I wanted to redeem one of their own vouchers as why else would you cancel a booking for May so quickly -shame on the Cadogan and Belmont for not wanting to honour a voucher bought in good faith

Booked via afternoontea.co.uk on 15/10…

Booked via afternoontea.co.uk on 15/10 for a booking on 30/10, got a confirmation from a company called thefork.co.uk. Four days before my booking they email to say the restaurant couldn't honour my booking, leaving me to struggle to find anywhere else at such short notice. Pretty sure this would've been highlighted within 24/48 hours of booking, but they left it until the last minute to notify me. Won't use again.

Thank you for leaving feedback. We are sorry to hear that your booking has been cancelled by the restaurant.

AfternoonTea.co.uk’s role is to promote afternoon tea on behalf of our clients. Bookings go directly to the restaurant, via their chosen booking platform (in this case TheFork), therefore any issues with your booking should be directed to the restaurant.

You did not mention which restaurant you have booked. Please contact us via enquiries@afternoontea.co.uk and we can assist you in finding a suitable alternative for this weekend.

Kind regards,
