AHS is excellent. They replaced my washer immediately when it was not able to be fixed. They also had a variety of washers to choose from. The delivery guys were polite and did an excellent job in removing my old washer and setting up my new one.

American home shield made the process easy. I ended up having five different companies give me bids on replacing my two heat pumps. And then using my American home shield plan gave me the best deal at the best price. I got exactly what I wanted after researching systems on consumer reports. And the nearest bid for replacing my two systems what's $4000 more than I paid using my American Home Shield plan. Great job American Home Shield. We selected Goodman variable stage systems.

I’m am absolutely appalled by the service provided by American Home Shield. I submitted a claim for my built-in microwave, which has served me well for almost 20 years. Recently, the handle broke, and I expected coverage for this issue, especially given the age of the appliance.
To my shock, they rejected my claim, stating that the damage was due to "mishandling." This is beyond absurd! My microwave sits above the burners, where it naturally experiences wear and tear over the years. Instead of understanding the situation, they chose to dismiss my claim without proper consideration.
Their customer service is incredibly unhelpful, and it feels like they are just looking for excuses not to honor claims. If you’re considering American Home Shield for appliance insurance, I urge you to think twice. They seem more focused on denying claims than providing actual support for their customers. Save your money and look for a company that values its customers!

The repair guy explain what was causing our issue. And let us know what he needed to do to repair it.
Sent me junk mail through a business called Our Town America

The professionalism and timing was just the best .
American Home Shield had our A/C fixed ASAP and the only additional cost was a service charge. They had our unit fixed without quibbling or questioned the repair order. AHS simply had it done.

The Contractor from CJ’s Heating and Air Conditioning Company sent via my AHS contract was excellent. The HVAC man was polite, knowledgeable, timely and I can’t say enough about the satisfaction with his service. And yes my issue was resolved. Thank you

A customer of AHS for 5 years. Just canceled today! The service has gotten much worse over time and the final 2 months convinced us to cancel. Much confusion and poor communication with the service techs or business. Took 4 or 5 weeks to replace our dryer with a new one. Furnace repair was a joke. Tech refused to order a new part (thermocouple) even after pilot flame failure twice in one week. Would definitely not recommend at this point. Recent ads on YouTube are complete BS. Truly.

My experience was excellent. AHS arranged a repair expert quickly, and the service was great.
We’re thoroughly pleased with our experience with American Home Shield—especially since this was our first time needing to use the service. To resolve our HVAC issue, we had a few video sessions with their technicians, and each one was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and committed to helping us troubleshoot the problem.
While we ultimately needed an in-person technician from Extreme Heating & Air to fully resolve the issue, the entire process with AHS was smooth and supportive from start to finish. I’m still in awe of how effective and convenient the video calls were. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m very happy we have this service.

Awful from the very beginning! First they took me credit card info to charge the yearly fee. Then a few weeks later I tried to put in a service request and they said I never paid so I couldn't make a request. Then acted like they were doing me a favor by allowing the request (after they finally charged it). 4 months later, I requested the free tuneup but had personal issues and cancelled that request. 6 months later tried to request the free tuneup and they insisted that I had already used my free one. Said they would look into trying to waive the $100 and sent me an agreement to sign. Then after signing, they said the would still charge the $100. I requested a supervisor and they told me that a supervisor would tell me the same thing but I insisted. Instead they sent me to "escalation dept" who said that because the system showed that I had used my free one, I would have to sign another agreement first but they can't guarantee that by signing that I would not be charged another $100. I refused that and said that I will NOT sign something not knowing if I am going to get charged! Then after asking for the corporate office's address to send a complaint, they REFUSED but suddenly said that they can offer a one time waiver for the $100. They then tried to send me the agreement to sign and insisted that I had to stay on the phone while waiting for it to arrive in my email. However it never came and I had to end the call to go to work. They said that when I call back I'll have to start all over again but that they can put a note but can't guarantee anything.

We have had ahs for 15 yrs. The continued rate hikes are ridiculous. Now trying to cancel policy, we are on our 4th phone call to cancel. They continuously try and talk you out of canceling. My husband finally got to the correct department and they still will not cancel. He has to talk to yet another department to cancel. They said they were sending an email for instructions however never received email. If they were the last home warranty company on earth I wouldn't choose them.
