This is a scam

This is a scam.
I paid an annual subscription (stupid) because I got the AI tools mixed up. I then tried to download the app and realised this doesn't appear to have an app extension to the browser. Anyway after two questions with an AI assistant it told me it was tired and wouldn't allow for more questions. It claims to be taking info from all the other major AI tools, but it takes very long and doesn't deliver. We are all learning to navigate this.

Misleading Branding and Refund Issues — My Experience with AIChatbot.co

Honestly, my experience with aichatbot.co felt extremely scammy and I wish I had seen a warning before signing up.

The website makes itself look and feel like Grok or other well-known AI chat platforms, and I genuinely thought I was signing up for something else. The branding, wording, and overall layout are confusing enough that it’s very easy to assume you’re purchasing a different service. Then you realize you’ve been enrolled in an automatically renewing subscription that wasn’t clearly obvious during checkout.

The responses themselves were very generic and nowhere near what I expected. When I tried to request a refund, even though their own refund policy says refunds are allowed within 14 days and under 10 messages (I used 0 messages during the renewal cycle), I got pushed back and forth between the merchant and their payment processor with no real resolution.

In my personal opinion, the way this service presents itself and handles refunds feels misleading and predatory. Please read everything carefully and double-check the website before entering payment details, because the experience left me feeling tricked into a subscription I didn’t intend to buy.

Fraudulent business

Misleading, false representation, over-charging and fraudulent. They are posing as ChatGPT and the skin on their web service looks identical to ChatGPT. Chances are, if you're here, you have already been duped like I was as you couldn't even tell it wasn't ChatGPT you purchased. This company should be held to account.

Misleading service — not actually GPT-5 and poor value for money

I signed up for aichatbot.co because it claimed to offer access to “GPT-5,” but it quickly became clear that this is misleading. The chatbot is very limited, provides generic answers, and doesn’t seem to be connected to any real OpenAI model. It even denied the existence of GPT-5 while advertising itself as “powered by GPT-5,” which makes no sense.

Customer support is unresponsive, and the service doesn’t deliver what’s promised on the website. It feels like a low-quality imitation of ChatGPT with an inflated marketing claim.

Be careful before paying for any subscription — there are much better and more transparent AI platforms out there.

Just does not work

Just does not work. By mistake I signed up for a year and there is no refund.
It takes a good few hours to get character by character a reply.

After 2 chats, you know the responses are crap

After 2 chats, the responses are clearly unintelligent and crap. I cancelled and am still asking for refund. I signed up for an annual plan, which is stupid. (Note to self: Dont sign up when you're in a hurry.)

Reading their fine print, if you cancel within 14days (applicable to long-term subscription) and have less than 10 messages, they would refund. - The 2 chats had a total of 2 and 6 messages/exchanges, respectively. - Still waiting for a professional response AND refund.

I expected a ChatGPT like experience…

I expected a ChatGPT like experience based on how they advertise it. What I got was something completely unusable half broken, nonsensical, and clearly not powered by any real AI.
I’ve lost my money, but they’re going to lose a lot more once enough complaints pile up. I'm contacting legal support.

I needed a quick AI writing assistant…

I needed a quick AI writing assistant and was drawn to this site by what seemed like a clean, professional layout and a ton of OpenAI language. Their homepage references GPT constantly, and I assumed it was using real API access or something close. Once I paid, though, I was shocked at how poor the product actually was. The AI couldn’t even handle a basic email draft without freezing or returning gibberish. Worse, the UI was glitchy, the prompts were limited, and it felt like an unfinished student project.

After two days of trying to make it work, I gave up and sent multiple refund requests. Not only did no one respond, but the 'contact us' button leads to nowhere useful. This isn’t just bad business it’s intentionally misleading. They're riding on OpenAI’s name, collecting payments, and delivering broken junk. I’ve shared my experience with others in my industry and will continue to warn people. I also plan to consult a lawyer to explore reporting this under deceptive trade practices.

I was looking for a cheaper alternative to ChatGPT. I stumbled upon this site and was impressed by the design and GPT branded language. It seemed like a great find. But it was all fake. The AI was broken, repetitive, and practically useless for any task.

The moment I asked for a refund, they stopped responding entirely. It’s not just misleading it’s criminal. I'm not letting this slide.

I've tested dozens of AI tools over the past few years, so I know what to expect from real GPT powered systems. When I landed on this site, it mimicked OpenAI's branding so well that I assumed it must be some kind of third party wrapper or partner service. They used GPT buzzwords everywhere, and I fell for it. The second I paid, it became clear this wasn’t even in the same universe as GPT. The responses were laughably bad generic, error prone, and usually not even relevant. It felt like I was interacting with an AI from a decade ago, not 2025.

They don’t respond to refund requests, and their support portal is just a dead form. They’ve built the entire funnel around conversion, not delivery. Once they get your money, you’re forgotten. This isn’t poor customer service it’s a calculated grift. I’ve already contacted my bank to begin a chargeback, and I’m compiling all communications to report this operation as fraudulent. This is not a case of unmet expectations this is intentional deception.

I signed up thinking this would be a lighter, budget friendly version of ChatGPT. The website implied as much with constant references to GPT technology and 'OpenAI powered' phrasing. Everything seemed trustworthy, and the pricing looked reasonable. But after making the payment, I quickly realized I’d been tricked. The so called 'AI chatbot' was clunky, often unresponsive, and shockingly primitive in its ability to understand even basic questions. At times, it felt like it was pulling random words from a bag and pasting them into a sentence.

What frustrated me even more was the complete lack of transparency and customer service. They offered no real documentation, no way to cancel from the dashboard, and no way to speak to a real person. I attempted to reach out through every contact form I could find. No reply. It’s clear they’re just after the payment and have no intention of providing a legitimate product or service. This is digital fraud, and I’m doing everything I can to make sure others are warned.
