Awful Customer Service, if you can even get through!

Lost my iPhone tried to ring AIG 4 times, waiting each time for 30mins then they cut me off. Waited another 25mins and when they picked up they hung up on me. When I finally got through gave them my card details, online payments on their site don't work, they told me 2 days to let me know. It is now 5 days still not heard anything. I would suggest if you are looking for iPhone insurance do not go with Apple Care, AIG are useless and I am not sure why on earth Apple would partner with them. Avoid them at all costs.

Horrible Customer Service

Bought insurance & cancelled within the timeframe in which I was suppose to obtain my money back & have gone thru 4 different agents including a Claims Adjuster Dionne Watson who wasn't helpful in providing information & calling me at 6:30 AM to rudely wake me up & Senior Examiner James long who was cussing at me (Inappropriate & even hung up on me towards the end of the conversation without a solution.)

I lost my iPhone covered by Apple with theft and loss. Claim approved on October 6th. After more than 3 weeks, still no replacement phone has been sent out. It looks like There are no iPhones available so I have to wait. It’s a joke and a scam.

Not recommend AIG travel insurance to friends

My doctor did not allow me to travel due my health situation. But Paggy of AIG travel told me that they do not cover pre-existing illnesses, with means that if you buy their insurance you have to be 100% healthy, if not, do not take out the AIG travel insurance .

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought travel insurance as an add on Premium Protection via Expedia for a trip in August. Unfortunately, on landing at the destination airport, I received the worst news, one of my parents had suddenly passed away. I had to scramble to find flights to get home. I submitted my claim on August 16th, provided all possible documents, receipts and death certificate. I sent follow up emails and phone calls, nobody had a clue about my submitted claim. I am now dealing with a company called Sedgwich who after 9 weeks they have come back to ask for documentation that I already provided. I feel they will give you the run around and that you will give up out of frustration. I will keep going until this is settled.

Stolen IPhone 14 pro max

On the 9th of September 23 I got assaulted by 2 guys and threatened to get stabbed if I didn’t provide them with the password of the phone . For the safety of my life I had to give them the password. Then they turned off all security measures including find my iPhone .Shortly I got in touch with the police and they opened an investigation and gave me a crime reference number . When I called AIG to start doing my claim they denied it becose find my iPhone was off . I explained to them several times that I was not the one who did it . They checked with apple the history of find my and they can see it was turned off on the same day that i got assaulted . My crime reference number is from the same day and I have all the evidence needed to prove that it was not turned off by me . Their final decision was not to approve my claim even after I tried to provide them with all evidence needed . I absolutely did nothing wrong and I’m a victim of crime . So basically the 250 ponds insurance was for nothing . For people who experience crime their insurance don’t apply. I’m left very disappointed and sad and have no words to describe the amount of stress that I received dealing with AIG. I really don’t recommend their services.

Worthless and Disgusting

This company along with Expedia tease you with their advertisement. They are anti-consumer, worthless and a shame to be doing business. I had a flight cancellation and an interruption that cost me $630 to rebook. After filing a claim, one week later they said not covered. On the Expedia website where AIG advertises, in big letters, FLIGHT CANCELLATION and FLIGHT INTERRUPTION. Their idea of these two situations is completely contrary to the advertisement. They are scam artists and cheats. NEVER, NEVER do business with AIG and their partner in crime EXPEDIA. If there was a review minus I would have given them minus-minus.

Dealing with AIG on accidental insurance as I write this and I must say this is rock bottom. Read other reviews stating this company will wait to you give so they don’t have to pay out. What garbage of a company. SCAM to say the least.

My mom passed away

My mom passed away 8 months ago, and AIG continues to stall and request more forms for the claim to be paid. The customer service people are terrible and each one asks for a different form. This only adds to the heartbreak and frustration during this time of grief.

Customer service is terrible

Customer service is terrible, the online claim form doesn't work, then a customer service representative contacted me asking for additional information that wasn't even requested on the claim form that I submitted. They go out of their way to make the process difficult, probably hoping that people give up so that they dont have to pay out. I would HIGHLY recommend getting insurance directly from the car rental company because AIG is ridiculously difficult and unreliable.

It's a scam

It's a scam, my flight got cancelled and I took a train instead. They told me that I cannot file for a refund because the train arrived before the flight.
It doesn't matter, I'm asking for a refund for the flight cancellation and for the added costs of the train.

Don't buy it, they don't do anything and at least you save the money.

Travelers beware.

I paid travel insurance just in case I needed to cancel a hotel reservation I booked through Expedia. I had to cancel due to an unexpected death. I called five days before my reservation date to cancel and was denied a refund. This is a complete scam. The people are rude, and condescending, and act as if you have some nerve for being frustrated with them. I don't know how they sleep at night.
