Long time customer no longer.

Been shopping and recommending here for years. They sent an inoperable rifle (barrel jammed with some unidentifiable hardened substance) and possibly operable pistol on LEO trade-in purchase. Their representative, Austen, was better than Kamala Harris on word salads. Refused to refund the price I paid for an FFL transfer for the defective and potentially dangerous weapon. He offered an in-store credit? I understand that things slip through, but their customer service is HORRIBLE when something out of the ordinary happens. If I had taken that rifle directly to the range, it could have easily blown up in my face. They don’t understand the gravity of this event. I don’t think they are really ‘gun folks’. Their rep was emailing me like they sent a defective coffee machine. Never Again!

Best deal going for a new Beretta

They advertised brand new Beretta APX pistol part of a Brazilian police buy for $299.00 and after waiting around many months I finally bought one. Shipped out the same day I ordered and I picked it up from my local licensed dealer and the pistol was exactly as they said, brand new in the box, never used and for $299.00 with free shipping for a Beretta with two magazines, it was a deal hard to beat unless they gave it to me. I have shot the pistol and it works flawless with both HP's and FMJ's.

Great CS, fast shipping, and awesome products!

I recently ordered a Taser X26P from these guys and it was marked as shipped the same day within a few hours. Unluckily for me it got caught up coming through DC in the inauguration and was delayed but I got exactly what was advertised. They even send out a photo of your exact item with the shipping notification so you know what to expect.

I noticed in the photo there was some black holster markings on the unit, as well as some dirt within the grooves of the grip. I went ahead and fully sanitized it and then proceeded to wipe it down with some elbow grease and iso wipes and now it looks like (almost) new - certainly good enough for my standards. Seems to function great and no issues thus far! Just wish they had some 25ft cartridges in stock still...

Company is absurdly unprofessional,disrespectful, petty and nosy into personal information

I ordered a replacement barrel, and because it was ordered to a different address than my billing (because I live in town and people steal my packages) they called it fraud and made me wait till business hours to call and straighten it out. When I did they said I just needed to order it to the billing address the first time then I'd be a known customer and it'd be fine to order to wherever I choose, so fine. I do that. The order gets flagged again for fraud, I call them and they say to respond to the fraud alert email with proof that my bank card is registered to the address I attempted to ship to, and I complained that it's ridiculous they're so worried about my personal information that even though my bank gave them the full payment for the goods, they didn't like the fact that I complained that the order I could already have received wasn't even Sent yet and for no good reason, I mean with the country in the shape it's in, this could very well be a lifesaving tool to have... but they just said they're gonna cancel my order AGAIN because "they've had numerous fraudulent orders recently" well that's not my fault or problem, so to use that as the reason not to ship my my goods that I ALREADY paid for is beyond absurd, 0 out of 10 for the entire experience with this seller, if I were you I'd spend my money LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE and save yourself the time and hassle and jumping through hoops for no reason.

Aimsuplus.com is no longer trustworthy

Aimsurplus was notified that my order had not left the origin USPS center. After about 3 weeks past the estimated delivery date, I let them know that I still did not receive my order. I contacted USPS, which verified that Aimsurplus had already received the claim and that they were refunded completely for the loss. With me still being out of my money, I requested a chargeback via my credit card company. Aimsurplus was notified again, stating that USPS had refunded them completely confirming with me via email and Aimsurplus failed to contact me again letting me know that the issue was resolved. Aimsurplus feebly responded that since USPS resolved the claim and gave their company a full refund, they would "Send me a replacement." They then noticed that I performed a chargeback an entire month after the failed delivery, and told me that I was a customer they would not do business with again because I did a chargeback rather than "giving them a heads-up that I was about to request a chargeback." They continued to gaslight me like I was in the wrong, despite them failing to deliver my order for over a month and stated that chargebacks cost them more money -- even though they failed to resolve the issue prior to then.

Edit: For the record, 13 years a customer and never a bad customer experience prior to this year.

This customer had a package that got lost within USPS's hands and worked with us to setup a lost package claim with the post office. When we received notice that USPS deemed the package lost and were compensating us, we immediately setup a replacement shipment and notified him of such. As we were getting it in place, we received notice that a chargeback was filed. This was rather confusing on our end because in all prior interaction, there was no indication that the customer was upset or contemplating this in any way.

Ordered a frame recently

Ordered a frame recently. The FFL I put on the order could not be found by AimSurplus...they emailed me immediately. I changed the FFL to ship to and they had it changed and out the door the same day! Super responsive!

Moving here from Commiefornia

Moving here from Commiefornia, this place is like a little slice of heaven but it's just Ohio. Great Customer Service, knowledgeable staff that arent just talking about it, they get out and train! They have a great social media presence and put out unboxing videos of new products all the time. It's nice not having to wonder what comes with my optic or firearm, I can watch one of their videos and see the product and all the things it comes with! The last time I was there they did a really cool event where a vendor came and did give aways and they had free food! I wish more places did stuff like this and had staff that actually care about their job.

How Could you Shop Anywhere Else?

Aimsurplus is the place to shop! The employees are friendly and well-versed in what they sell. The inventory has a wide array of options. The showroom has an awesome vibe to it. They answer the phones and emails in a timely fashion. As a business goes, it truly cannot get much better!

Cancelled Orders

I ordered multiple magazines and tools that were on sale at the time. I even paid the extra for the shipping insurance! AIM acknowledged my order, charged my Credit Card and sent me a order confirmation email. The very next day my CC was refunded, no explanation or notification. I don't have any clue if my order is still valid. They have raised their prices back to the higher prices, so re-ordering is NOT going to happen.

This is NOT the first time this has happened!!!
I have called and sent emails with no response. Their website states that orders can be cancelled and will not be reinstated.
I no longer will be ordering from AIM Surplus, regardless of their advertised prices.

While waiting for them to get back to us, the customer opted to do a chargeback because he claims we got paid for the lost package but didn't contact him. We hadn't contacted him yet because we did not receive notification from USPS regarding the claim. Since USPS sends these notifications to us through the mail, presumably we just hadn't received the confirmation letter. I attempted to explain this to him, but he continues to assume that we got paid for the lost package and just neglected to keep him in the loop.

Ethics and service come first

I have done business with AimSurplus many times these past few years. I have bought both new and used product. I have found all the used items in better shape than described, and the new items perfectly described. Their prices are very fair, their shipping times are prompt, and they are my "go-to" place for unusual or difficult items.

I live in Alaska, and often times I deal with challenges of some 48 online retailers who are ignorant or unethical, I have had only Positive experiences with AimSurplus.

As for another veteran, but obviously one unlike myself, I hold no special grudge against a business that exercises it's freedom of association to not do business in certain areas. Actually, as the son of a veteran, the father of a veteran, the grandson of veterans, and the nephew of many veterans, I find it Deplorable that another "vereran" or currently serving is deciding of special treatment.

By the way to my fellow veterans I want to point out something...those of us in my current career (LEO) have suffered far more casualties than DOD personnel these last several years...

I buy at least once a month from Aim…

I buy at least once a month from Aim and they ship fast and parts ship free at $50 or more. Good prices and their own products are always good quality and less expensive than the competition. In all my orders I have NEVER had a single issue with anything.
