AIRAID, worst customer service EVER!

For about 8 months I am using an Airaid air filter in my Toyota 4runner. As I do a lot of off-roading, i thought that I made the right choice. This company is owned by K&N and as I like where Airaid came from before being acquired, I truly did like the brand. Starting late december I started having a lot of issues with my Mass Airflow Sensor, replaced it, and also the driver for the airpump, the airpump itself, the emission valves and my 4runner was still in limp mode. Only after a lot of swearing and frustrations I realized that more than once I had to tighten the Airaid filter to its housing, and so I looked again and found out the the the inserts of the housing were all gone. I understand that when one does a lot of offroading this can happen. I decided to go bold, and use big screws in order to tigthen the filter, and after days, limp mode disappeared and the 4runner ran as great as ever. I decided to inform Airaid. They, through an automated email, asked me to provide photos, and so I did. As I hardly ever expect anything in life, the only thing I do expect is a courtesy email confirming receipt. But as you already guessed, NOTHING! Not even an automated email, a call, or whatever, just nothing. Well, if that is how you deal with clients, I wish you all the best! For me the chapter Airaid is over, and I will replace it with another brand. I did spend close to 500$ on this product, it breaks down, and they do not care? Interesting strategy!
