I haven't actually completed a purchase from airspotters.com yet, however I have to say I'm impressed with their pre order option where you can pay once the pre order model is released and ready to ship.
Previously I had the Herpa 1/200 Uruguayan Fairchild 571 aircraft (the one that crashed in the Andes in 1972) on pre order with another store and had already paid upfront, but then I noticed the model was no longer listed on their website, so I thought I would send an email just to make sure everything is ok with my order. It turned out they were informed by their supplier that they won't be able to supply them with this model. I got issued a refund without any problems, but it was a good job I emailed them just to check.
I immediately went looking for another store to pre order this model from, but due my previous let down, I wasn't too keen on paying upfront again.
That's why when I noticed airspotters.com offer a pay on release option, I jumped at the chance.
I'm really looking forward to this model and after reading their good reviews, I'm quite confident I won't be disappointed this time.
Have been a customer of theirs since 2006/7 ,back in the old days based at Gatwick when i first started collecting then had a quiet time till about 2016 when finally models/moulds of aircraft with certain liveries started to arrive on the market! So,went back to them!
Again started collecting and by now Airspotters had moved on alot! New place of distribution and added staff.
Airspotters have gained alot of my custom over the years as they do orders with no need of payment upfront unlike ALOT of their competition . Peter is always on hand via phone for payment or issues and Peter always sends your parcel immaculately packaged.Shame to unwrap sometimes, must be great at wrapping xmas presents!
P&P is essential to be done good when handling products that are fragile and at Airspotters they will come with care & attention to them as they know how important not just the model is but the box too is to the collector.Especially for re-sale if needs be.
Overall a company you can trust and will send your product with care.
Some have said they tend to be more pricey but you get for what you pay for etc! A few quid here and there is worth it if you want your models sent mint and with care.
Lastly some have complained about waiting times...well ,yes they tend to be longer at getting their models for some odd reason but it does not bother me as its gives me time to save up to pay for them etc.Alas also future orders. I think their supply chain has alot to do with it but patience is required and in return you get a mint box and model not a box with dents, scratches etc.
Best feature is that you can pay for it,once in or they know you etc.Via phone.NO scrimping on P&P unlike others i could mention. You get your P&P's worth, thats for sure.

Have used Air Spotters for several years now and I have always received good service. Pity that they do not have a shop in the Gatwick area, I could then spend hours browsing😄😄😄

I have purchased many models from these guys and I can say the service is always top class. Communications on pre-orders is excellent and items are always dispatched quickly when in stock.
Good, trusty, plenty of choices. It took a little while for my parcel to arrived but I got it. It would better to track the parcel because mine was unavailable! But overall I recommended!

I had a very pleasant shopping experince with this shop. Model 777-x was on pre order . Malcolm was kind enough to ship as soon as the model arrived along with another model that I wanted with cobmined shipping. Hats off. Model was safely delivered to Australia.

Customer Service is really good which is why am giving three stars and i think the models are also reasonably priced. I have placed a number of orders in a space of a week.
My only problem is very slow delivery and the website doesn't explain if an item is in stock for dispatch same or if their is a wait. I also find the website rather poor compared to what big commerce can offer in such terms of design etc. While i have paid for 1st class delivery, i find it a rip of for an item weighing no more than 50grams to be charged at 5.99 for 1st class and almost 4.00 for 2nd glass. If you go royal mail website its almost 2 pound cheaper.
I have also just literally came across another model store that i will more likely now start using. Its a shame as customer service is really really good compared to so many other other places in the net.
