Chris and Marin were a great help for me in booking my 41-day RTW TRIP.

I bought my first ticket around in 2017. Then the second in 2018. And a 3rd in 2019. Not a single problem. Nothing. Not even a flight time/date changed.
I'm ready to buy my fourth.

The flights selected were what I wanted / needed, however, the total cost of the tickets was HALF the cost of the tickets when I tried to book the same flights through Kayak, Expedia, Delta, and United. Furthermore, the folks at AirTreks gave me some advice I had not even thought about.

They are really good at making complex travel arrangements and providing 1st class support. They took a complex around the world itinerary and made it happen... flight by flight

This is the 2nd time we've used AirTreks because they did a great job booking our flights the first time we went around the world. We weren't disappointed this time.

I have used AirTreks for my big trips since 2017. They have never disappointed me in the service I have received. I gave the specialist my preferences like, where I wanted to be seated, and fare type. The next time l used AirTreks, I didn't need to tell them again. Also, when flights were altered, I was notified asap with options on how to proceed and recommendations. It was very easy to contact the reps. Either via phone or email. I recommend AirTreks to family and friends all of the time!

I reached out to AirTreks to draft an Around the World journey, and I was VERY impressed by Marin and her team. I had looked up options using the Round the World tickets on the different airline alliances (it looked very complicated and I watched some youtube videos of some horror stories of getting lost in the airline bureaucracy), researched different tour companies (but those costs were prohibitively expensive), and was kinda overwhelmed with mapping out the trip myself. So after some googling, I came across AirTreks. I appreciated their transparency with a number of different example itineraries, loved their blog posts, and reached out to AirTreks. Marin was thoughtful, responsive, and knowledgeable throughout the process. Thank you Marin and AirTreks!

Brilliant company who care greatly about their clients. I've been using them for years. The COVID moment saw a hiccup but they've recovered and I will use them again. And... I'm Canadian. No one in Canada (I tried to find an agency in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal) does what AirTreks does.

In one well-known travel agency in Vancouver, the woman at the counter left in the middle of my listing all the cities and countries (I backpack for 3 months usually) I wanted them to book me in. She rolled her eyes and pointed to the Manager.

After listening (thrumming his fingers on the counter) he said one word, "Impossible."

AirTreks works with me and I get great deals. I need what they provide: excellent air pricing and close monitoring of all flights. I check my emails the night before I jet off and am informed of any changes.

I can confidently say, they are excellent at their job.

There are two realities - the company, and the people who work for the company. The staff mostly did their best.
But there are two major problems. Firstly, they screwed up. I asked for business class tickets, paid (a lot of money) for business class tickets. My partner's mother died, so I need to change the tickets. They did so, I paid the change fee...arrived at the airport to discover, FOR THE SAME PRICE, they had downgraded me to Economy!!!!!!! I was pretty shocked. I mean, isnt that why you have a travel agent, so this doesnt happen. No warning no negotiation.
I had to pay a lot, at the airport, for the upgrade.
I tried calling them. Haha, a travel agent who doesnt work on the weekend, only has US business hours (limited), and no emergency contact number.
When I spoke with them later, they were completely unrepentant. It was my fault, because I didnt read the fine print.
When they spoke to their top management about it, they were completely uninterested in dealing with the matter. Tough. Suck it up.
So thats my story. Do not trust this company. Do not entrust your money, or your flights to them. As pleasant as the staff are, the owners only care about one thing - making a profit, and customers come second. Mistakes - its all on you, even if its their responsibility.

If you want to risk loosing a lot of money, like many of us between 2020 and 2022, this is the perfect companies. Expect to get robbed, lied to, and have almost no answers/clarity. Shame on them. Bonus: receiving terrible communication or being ghosted!

Booking with AirTreks was great. They did all the work to arrange the best routes and timing for my trip, along with helpful suggestions along the way. Very responsive to my questions and itinerary changes.

Like many others who posted in 2021-23, AirTreks cheated us out of thousands (and thousands) of dollars. Although AirTreks received the money back from the flight consolidator who was working with South African Airways (and confirmed to me that they had gotten the money back), Air Treks would not acknowledge and said they could only give us a limited time credit for a fraction of the money returned. This company is dishonest and deceitful. AND, if you have any problems at all, they will cease communication with you. AND, they are impossible to locate. Just try finding out where they are located you won't.

Needed to fly home for a family reunion and wanted to arrive into Amsterdam at the same time as my sister's family who were coming from Australia. They found a flight that got in at the right time, and they also booked me a seat with extra legroom, which made it a much better experience than last time. AirTreks made it easy. Recommend.

I have had many fantastic air fare arrangements created for me with Air Treks over the years. All of their staff are great but my primary is Florencia Mandocino. They update me with every activity and always find The Deal and Timeframes that fit my needs perfectly. Covid hurt them badly but they have survived and I have recommended them to dozens of fellow travelers.

My experience with AirTreks was limited, but positive. I paid for a detailed quote on a multi-stop ticket through Asia. The service was prompt and helpful. The person I dealt with offered solid insights on the routing.

I’ve used Airtreks or Bootsnall a decade before and was satisfied with their service. I recently booked two round trip tickets from San Francisco to Manila, Changchun, Zhuhai. Then HongKong to Kaohsiung and back. 7/7-8/6 2023. Because of multi city destinations, their online program selects the airlines, and I decide which airline to go with based on my budget. I eventually booked Eva, China Eastern/Shanghai (connecting flights), China Southern, China, & Cathay Pacific. The travel agents Maria Belen B., and Florencia M. were very helpful and expeditious in answering my questions, and I was even given a link to check visa requirements which was very helpful. There are a few instances that they even responded after office hours. They also emailed me of any change in my flights. When the airlines charged my credit card, every airline involved charged the same amount twice, so I panicked and immediately emailed them. Maria Belen run the charges with their accounting and it all adds up. It was my mistake, because the tickets were charged for each passenger. Maria Belen was very patient in explaining how the charges were run and even took the time to give me a list of booking number with the corresponding tickets to ease checking in at the airport. With these cheap fares, be careful to check if the airline allows free check in luggage (check also how many checked bag(s) is/are free)… To my dismay, China Eastern/ Shanghai (this trip is from Manila to Changchun, connecting in Shanghai switching to Shanghai Air) charges $100 to check in one bag. That is another $200! Maria Belen told me that I can save money if I just deal directly with the airline because they charge $100 fee for any service after tickets has been issued. Another mishap was that recently, Taiwan won’t issue tourist visa for non-visa exempt countries. So we have to cut off one ticket going to Kaoshiung (China air ticket) and back to SFO via Hong Kong (Cathay Pacific 1st leg ticket). I found out that we can’t just not take the first leg of KHH to HKG and just take the 2nd leg HKG to SFO, and this is where Airtreks has to get a refund, and rebook a flight from HKG to SFO. Cathay Pacific charges over $2k for this flight at the time of rebooking, so Maria Belen gave us several options and eventually got a cheaper flight for us. One traveler has to take Philippine Airlines, laying over in MNL with final destination to SFO. With refunds of unused tickets, adding airline and Airtrek’s fees ended us paying an additional $551! Despite additional costs, which I expected due to changed flights, I don’t have any problem with Airtreks, their agents are professional and are straight shooters. If we travel to multi cities in the future, I won’t hesitate buying tickets with Airtreks and do recommend them for top notch service.

I've used AirTreks many times over the past decade or so for international travel and the one time I did and around the world trip.

I appreciate their service and picking the best flights and airlines in international places that I am not as familiar with on complicated routes which brings me confidence.

They referred me to their competitors a few times when I went to them for simple itineraries too as that made more sense. That builds trust for me.

I expect to use them again, especially for a few trips with my kids coming up in the next few years.

Like everyone else on here, we lost thousands and thousands with Airtreks and spent two years trying every avenue to get our money back. The amount they were prepared to compensate us for after all our flights were cancelled (with very restrictive vouchers) was a fraction of what we spent overall with no explanation of where the rest of the money went. Horrible company, actually criminal, we will never ever use a travel agent again because of our experience with them, we will only ever book direct with the airlines. Please do not book with Airteks!
