Church farm barns
We are a family of 4 (8yo and 4yo children) and stayed at the Church Farm Barns for 4 days in April 2021.
We really liked our stay here, with the following highlights:
- The house was clean, tidy, and already warm when we arrived, with a nice welcoming present for us.
- Overall, the house is very spacious.
o It has a large kitchen and a dining area with a table accommodating up to 10 people downstairs and a large living room with a wooden stove and a tv with Netflix available (with your own ID). Also a pantry with an additional fridge, a freezer and a washing machine. There’s a downstairs toilet as well.
o Upstairs are 4 bedrooms, including 2 with a double bed that are really large (1 with an ensuite bathroom) and 2 double bedrooms that are of a very decent size as well. The family bathroom has a bathtub, a shower and two sinks. The ensuite bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet.
- The highlight of the house was for me the lovely view of the garden from the kitchen.
- The garden is not as big as I expected based on the pictures but of a decent size, big enough for the kids to entertain themselves, and very well maintained. A plus is that it is gated so good for families with young kids (although the gate is only a metre high and it might be easy for adventurous kids to explore outside). The garden opens to a quiet ‘parking area’, way off the main road, connected to a lovely old cemetery at the back of the local church. The exterior of the house is really lovely. The neighbour came to introduce herself and asked if we needed anything, which was really nice.
- The house would be well suited for 2 families of four and we will consider coming back with friends.
- Located 15min away from Sandringham, 35/40min from beautiful beaches of Brancaster and Holkham. A local pub is a short walk away.
