I was not paid for an editing job and lost out on all the work I put it.
Really unfortunate experience and probably have to change my methods for accepting jobs which puts more pressure on the client to pay a deposit.
Definitely urge anyone to not use this person to proofread as they are scamming editors out of their money. Wish I saw this website before accepting the job.
Stay away or report him to the police! This guy runs a fake business. He employed me for two jobs, one proofreading a whole master's thesis, then disappeared when it came to payment. I managed to track down the student who wrote the thesis and they said they had paid him hundreds of euros and he hadn't even sent them my work. The guy contacted me again just now, seems he forgot that he'd already employed my services a while back and is back for more! I see he's using a new phone number but it's the same guy.
As a supplier, I can say this company has no intention of paying you in any way but late, if at all. Communication drops to zero when you ask about money. Stay away.
