We didn’t go to AKM because we had problems, we were actually performing well. But we wanted more. More structure, more insight, more scale.

OK for 3 months then performance started suffering. Spent a week trying to chase him down to discuss and give notice, founder offered to go to free for a couple months to support the business. That was the last we saw of him in any meetings and then he charged my card anyway (bills monthly in advance). >50% more expensive than any other agency we found. I was a mug- hopefully you won't be.

Connected with Arsalan back in 2019 to help me scale my coaching business. We built a great relationship. Their service was pretty solid. I even added on to my retainer by choosing more services. After canceling, my card was billed for 2 months extra: basically the accounting department had forgotten to turn off the recurring payment. Nothing shocking, happens all the time. Reached out to him to rectify; he was super apologetic, and promised to correct it immediately. This is where things got strange.

2 years later, after countless email chains, only 1/2 payments (5/10k), have been credited back to my company. The incompetence, and general lackadaisical nature surrounding the situation by not only his accounting team, but he himself -- is still a shock to me (we had such a great relationship and frequently did favors for one another).

I want to clarify, the service from his team wasn't bad at first, but as a business owner, I know the job is never truly done until the score is zeroed. In this case, it was a classic: "attentiveness and service to the client until he is no longer an asset." The feeling of being discarded by a partner, especially after them "accidentally" taking $5k extra, is a tough one to bare; I can't help but let it affect my entire experience of doing business with AKM.
