Great location but shared living issues
I stayed in this apartment for three and a half months, during the autumn and early winter. The house is warm and is a great location for those who frequently travel to central London (I attended UCL, for reference). The bus stop, both for going to the centre and coming back, is practically right outside the house, which is very convenient as night buses run throughout the night. The tube station, London Bridge, is about a 10-minute walk away via a shortcut, otherwise, there’s a slightly longer route, but still, it’s in a great spot.
The house itself was perfect, and I was comfortable in my room. Unfortunately, however, there were some issues with my flatmates. I wasn’t sure whether to mention this, but anyone considering renting this room should be aware that my food was repeatedly stolen. When I contacted the landlord to complain, I was told that this had been happening even before I arrived, so I assume it was people who had been living there for a while. These things happen in shared houses, which is a real shame because the location is excellent, the price is fair (considering it’s London), but this issue remained.
Additionally, I often found myself being the only one cleaning the common areas (apart from one other flatmate), as no one else ever did it. However, according to the listing, you can request a professional cleaning once a month.
