Alaska Active helped me make my dreams become a reality. I booked a tour from Anchorage to Fairbanks via Talkeetna so that I could watch the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race which had been a dream of mine for 30 years. Andrea was absolutely amazing at organising everythin. She took the stress out of my trip by booking everything for me, adding tours and extra nights accommodation. The communication before the trip was amazing with all my questions and concerns being answered. When I was making payments for the trip, Andrea let me know when all payments had been received (as I stressed about sending large amounts of money from Australia). I had the most amazing time and met some wonderful people. Being able to go to the Mushers Banquet, meet the mushers and see both the ceremonial and official starts of the Iditarod was a once in a lifetime experience. All the accommodations we stayed at were great especially the Swiss Alaska Inn in Talkeetna. Highly recommend Alaska Active Travel if you want to see Alaska, have the freedom to do your own thing but have everything booked for you.

We just got back from a wonderful Alaska experience coordinated by Alaska Active Travel. The logistics were flawless. They coordinated all lodging and all of the tours. We really enjoyed our time and highly recommend using this group.

When we decided to take a multi generational family vacation to Alaska, we also decided to stay away from cruises ships. My grandsons wanted to see Fairbanks and Denali and I wanted to see Glacier Bay. We took the their parents along too! Luckily, in my search for trips, I found the fly/drive tour RSFA03 tour by Active Alaska which hit all the wants. We modified the tour a bit to add days in Fairbanks and a day in Denali. We wished we had added an extra day in Glacier Bay.

The logistics (hotels, transfers, excursions) were in place and we had no issues! Smooth sailing. Some modifications that we made on our own was to rent a car in Fairbanks as it was easier to get around and see all the things (Museum of the North, Large Animal Center, a day trip to Chena Hot Springs, etc). We also rented a car in Denali (Keys to Denali) to go to Husky Homestead (loved it!!!!) and explore the area.

The scenery, train ride, hiking, rafting, swimming, climbing… was amazing. But one of the best things was meeting and talking to Alaskans, whether they were born there or moved there. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

We had a wonderful time on our recent Iditarod and Northern Lights tour. Alaska Active Travel planned everything for us and explained in advance what we needed and where to be for each day. It was well organized. And when the Iditarod changed, they let us know within a timely fashion. I would use then again for any future Alaska trips.

Incredible bucket list adventure thanks to Andrea and Alaska Active! Traveled to Bettles Lodge, Coldfoot, and Chena Hotsprings to see the Northern Lights. All aspects from planning thru execution went unbelievably smoothly. All venues, each very unique, were outstanding and all the people we dealt with...Great!

We recently enjoyed the 2 week self driving tour of the Golden Circle in Alaska and were very pleased with the itinerary that Alaska Active Travel set up for us. We chose the lesser expensive option for lodging, and each location was adequate (or better) for our needs. We highly recommend this travel agency for your Alaska travel! There are many different options to choose from!

Alaska Active organized a wonderful tour through Alaska. When things did not go as planned (through no fault of their own) they were very responsive in helping us find alternative accommodations. Every hotel was top notch. Will definitely use them when we go back!

Thanks for organizing a great vacation for our family. We enjoyed the bears, whales & glaciers driving tour and we saw a lot of wildlife. The hotels were great, as well as the rental car. We can strongly recommend Alaska Active Travel !

Wonderful experience and an amazing 2 days. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable staff sharing some hilarious and fabulous stories. Great views from bus on the way to Coldfoot. Awesome trip on day 2 over the pass. Beautiful flight back to Fairbanks.

We were leery to book with Alaska Active Travel. Having always planned trips on our own, or booked a group tour this was a new experience. In the end, we are glad we did. We had a fantastic trip to Alaska. They arranged hotel accommodations, transportation, additional excursions and hotel nights at our request. It was complete package without the cumbersome mess of a group tour. Before departure we received a detailed itinerary with vouchers, instructions, addresses, and phone numbers, as well as information and suggestions to help us prepare and enjoy our vacation. Everything went smoothly for us be it our AlaskaAir scheduled flights, our scheduled accommodations or ground travel. We were able to relax knowing everything was planned out ahead of time and our printed itinerary kept us in the loop at all times. Go Alaska was easy to work with and their recommendations were spot on. We thought this would be our "once in a lifetime " trip, but we are ready to go back!

Kenai Fjords Cruise is a must for anyone visiting Alaska! The captain's dedication to giving us an orca sighting was commendable. Glaciers and wildlife in their natural habitat, paired with a delightful salmon lunch, made for a perfect day A truly stunning adventure! We compared with few other tour operators and we found it to be much cheaper with Alaska Active and their service is super nice !

We have used Alaska Active two times now and had great experiences both times. First off, I was skeptical since the agent is completly online; but I booked anyway hoping not to be ripped off! I am very glad we did. In 2019 we took the train from Anchorage to Fairbanks, then a small bush plane to Bettles Lodge, then back to Fairbanks and to Cheana Hot Springs. Andrea arranged all the transfers and lodgings. Everything was timed perfectly and went off without a hitch. This Sept we took a self drive tour. I had an itinerary in mind and Andrea arranged all our tours and lodging all the way from Seward, to Valdez, McCarthy, to Denali. We encountered a small problem checking into one hotel, and I e-mailed Andrea and she immediately called and straightened it out. I would not hesitate to use Alaska Active again since their pricing seems to be better than other tour companies. I have and will continue to recommend them to travelers to Alaska.
