Alector Construction and their team carried out a full renovation of my house, including a loft conversion, new bathrooms, and a kitchen. From start to finish, the team was professional, reliable and well organised. The quality of workmanship was excellent, and attention to detail was evident throughout the project. Communication was clear, timelines were met, and the site was kept tidy during the works. I am very pleased with the final result and would confidently recommend Alector Construction.

Alector is run by Panos and Emil. They were recommended independently by two local friends, who each invited me to see the work that Alector had done for them. In our case, we needed an entire basement - including bedroom, bathroom and utility room - stripped to the outer brickwork, damp proofed and rebuilt. They managed everything themselves, employing subcontractors as required, and were always considerate and helpful. Both Panos and Emil were full of good ideas, but met our brief and budget. It's worth saying that they are not the cheapest building company, but they are entirely trustworthy, the quality of the work is excellent, and they are not satisfied until you are.

Panos and his team have just completed a high quality kitchen refurbishment and redecoration for us involving resituating pipes to allow a washing machine to fit into a tight space, identifying and resolving some leaks, electrical problems, installing an array of kitchen spotlights and pendant lights, very thorough and high quality making good and decoration of walls, ceiling and skirtings, excellent tiling work, and working flexibly around the kitchen fitters. Panos and his whole team (Dimitri - electrician, Emil - carpenter, Roman - Decorator) worked to a very high standard and gave us confidence that we were getting a professional and courteous service. Panos was patient and positive ensuring that everything was agreed before work was undertaken and all behaved respectfully while working in our house taking care to protect floors, new work surfaces and clearing up. We are very pleased with the work done for us and would highly recommend this company

Panos and his team renewed the bathroom in my flat. They did a fabulous job, on time and on budget. Panos offered sound advice on design, prior to work starting, which improved the finished room greatly.

The team worked efficiently throughout. The various different phases were properly handled, with good site management and cleanliness. Working in a small flat also meant keeping the neighbours onside, which was done well.

Another important aspect was communication. Panos kept me updated throughout the job. This is a greatly underrated quality.

All the work was done with skill and aplomb. I recommend them highly.

Alector came highly recommended by a friend, and we couldn't be happier with their service. Panos, Emil, and all their staff are excellent. They are professional, flexible, patient, and, most importantly, they completed the work on time, within budget, and to a very high standard. The project involved a full flat remodel, including complete floor insulation, leveling, and replacement, as well as fitting and decorating a new kitchen, along with various other jobs. We will definitely use them again for future projects.

Panos and Emile recently replaced my bathroom. They were totally brilliant to work with - they provided helpful advice and improved the design, while also listening to my design ideas, and providing guidance on what fittings to buy.
They were always friendly and professional, explaining what they were doing and why, and sorting out any issues that arose.

We had a downstairs toilet installed, cupboards built for washing machines etc, some plumbing updated and the house refreshed. Very happy with the quality of the work and the whole experience including the last bits of snagging. We would use Emil and Panos again for another project.

Panos & Emilio are excellent at what they do. They re-floored our entire upstairs, which looks great and is finished to an exceptional standard. They also installed customised beams along our stairs to replace some previous glass panels which is, again, exceptional.

All work was completed on time & in budget, and the pricing for the standard of work is incredibly fair. On top of that, they are great guys who are personable and happy to make recommendations given their expertise, advising on what to buy, how to do things and what will look best.

Highly and happily recommend to anybody seeking reliable, friendly and exceptionally skilled workmen.

We’ve had an outstanding experience with Panos and Emil and I can’t speak highly enough of them. They recently built a new extension on our ground floor flat in north London, installing a new kitchen, remodelling other areas of the ground floor and redecorating throughout the flat too. The extension required deep foundations to be built so it has been quite a substantial job. They came highly recommended by family members who have had work done by them previously and they did not disappoint at all.

The quality of their work is really high, with a close attention to detail – they clearly love what they do and their workmanship, work ethic and knowledge of buildings and building work is exceptional. They switch between major structural work to fine details with ease. Throughout the work we’ve had great communication with them – they’ve kept us informed and involved every step of the way, and it’s felt like a real joint venture, with them as invested as us in the end result. They are always courteous and polite, taking time to explain things, and they frequently had great design ideas that we took on board – and they saved us from making some bad decisions too. Pricing was very competitive and transparent all through the process. Going the extra mile seems to be an inbuilt part of their mindset and they have made the whole thing a really pleasurable experience.

We are absolutely thrilled with the end result (you can see a video of the kitchen on their website). We’ve already booked further work with them, recommended them to friends, and they will always be our first choice for future work.

We have had an excellent experience with Panos and Emil and will definitely use them again for future work. They renovated a damp outdoor porch area and coal vault for us, which was a complex job involving a pump, and redecorated the outside of our house. They paid attention to detail, were willing to go the extra mile to make sure things are right, and were very considerate - even taking their shoes off to use the toilet!

Emilio and Panos have been so great throughout our renovation. We can’t recommend them highly enough. Our place is already completely transformed and we can’t wait for the second phase of the renovation. Panos and Emilio came highly recommended through close family and have completed various large jobs for my family members.

Emilio recently installed a 40m square decking in our garden and we are over the moon with the quality of the work. Emilio's attention to detail is second to none and they also dealt directly with the materials supplier which was one less headache for me.

We are planning several more home improvements over the next couple of years and will go straight to Panos and Emilo for their services.

Panos, Emil and their team did my kitchen recently and they were absolutely brilliant. They clearly pride themselves on quality because my kitchen looks amazing and they were so careful to check that everything was just right. They explained each job to me before, during and after they did it. They arrived when they said they would, completed the job quickly and were so so friendly, always on had if I had any questions. The were careful to clean up after themselves every time they came in. I couldn't be happier with the service and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I've been so delighted with Panos and Emilio's renovation work - the bathrooms and kitchen are completely transformed - everything done to the highest standard, promptly and with great communication. I highly recommend them for any project you have in mind.
