I have been working with Alex for over half a year and I could not recommend him anymore. He makes lessons engaging whilst still explaining the in's and out's of the Danish language. He is also quite cheap and it helped so much seeing him once a week alongside my regular sprogskole lessons.

Ever asked a Dane why they say things a certain way, and their answer is something along the lines of "I don't know, we just do"? Alekt knows why and won't rest until that which seems incomprehensible finally makes sense to you. A master of many languages himself, he will show you the right dots to connect, often finding them in your own mother tongue, or in languages closer to it. He's been where you are, learning Danish from scratch, and he'll help you get further, as he once did.

I was already done with PD3 by the time I found Alekt, and I cannot understate how much he helped me develop my everyday Danish. In just half a year's time I've become so much more confident in carrying a conversation in Danish than I was before, owing to his expert, highly personalized pointers and feedback that made sense. There's finally no need to switch to English anymore.

I can't recommend Alekt enough!

Alex's lessons have a nice consistent flow, but are still kept interesting. He's really great about making parallels to each student's own background and language, which really helps give context for the Danish. He's also infinitely patient with helping to correct pronunciation errors, which sometimes take a LOT of repetition and correction to become more natural.

Alekt offers much professional Danish lessons for "Nye Danske". The humor and openness create a relaxed and engaging learning environment, and make the learning process more enjoyable, when learning Danish in the course. You will also receive a separate course to practise Danish you have learnt in the grammatical course. As you know, one of the key to learn a new language is to speak as much as you can.
Alekt is definitely a good option for anyone looking to learn Danish in a comprehensive and engaging way.

I can definitely and without a doubt say, that meeting Alex was a crucial part of my process in learning danish. He was able to guide me along the path of understanding the language with ease, humor and heart tenderness. I was always offered help and clarifications of any and all, little or big questions that arose in my mind. I strongly recommend Alex, he CAN and WILL teach you, if you also put in the work yourself.

Anyway, I highly recommend to choose ALEKT because the studies will be shaped based on your knowledge, either you are just starting 'at snakke dansk' or you are already about to take your Studieprøven.

Personally, I do not write the reviews, but the teacher I got really worth it to brag about, because in 6 months of studies with Alex I got more knowledge than in the past years in language schools.

I've been taking Danish lessons with Alex for over 6 months, and I'm very happy with his teaching approach. He offers small group lessons that create a comfortable and relaxed learning atmosphere.

I prefer to join the courses in person, but he can easily accommodate for both online and in person participants. He personalizes the course for each student in every lesson, catering to individual needs and goals.

Also, he knows a lot of different languages, and often helps students in their own languages. He also knows the particular struggles in learning Danish and has a lot of resources to help students.

Overall, Alex is an excellent Danish teacher, and I highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning the language.

I am still taking classes from Alex. He explains everything in the class until everyone is clear about it. He also offers lots of online resources. I am happy with small groups as well so everyone has opportunity to practice.

Alex is an amazing teacher. He speaks many languages which allows him to give different examples (often by relating to you own language) and explain complex topics such as pronunciation in a simple, understandable manner.

Alex is an excellent teacher and helps a lot preparing for PD3.

I had been in Denmark already for a few years and attended Danish lessons with the public system for a few years when I started going to Alex classes. I can sincerely say that starting at Alex' classes was the real moment when I started *learning* Danish. He has the gift of speaking many languages so he knows how you can improve best, by understanding where your native background comes from. His lessons are well-structured, adapted to your specific needs, dynamic and fun. I can highly recommend him!
