Time chain repair

I BROUGHT IN MY CAR, A NISSAN JUKE, WHICH HAD BEEN SERVICED AND PASSED ITS MOT BY THE NISSAN GARAGE. There was an advisory from Nissan regarding the timing belt, which was noisy. As Nissan was very expensive, I looked for a cheaper/trustworthy local garage. Allcars came up. They said they could do the job, had the parts and would take a day to fix. The next day I called for an update and was told, some nuts had broken, oil needed to be replaced and can I call in again tomorrow. I called the next day and was told the fuel-pump was not working. They tried to fix it but the engine light on the dashboard stayed on, they are still working on it and can I call again the next day. I called the next day, I expressed I was getting worried and wanted to know what was going on? The lady on the phone then got aggressive with me and said if I keep on calling the engineers can't do their job, she then said she couldn't be bothered any more and slammed down the phone. The next day I went to the garage with my partner. They said the car was ready but the engine light was still on, don't take any notice of it. I paid them over £500.00 for the work done and drove home. The car was driving like a kangaroo and would not go faster than 30mpg. There was also a strong smell of oil/petrol? I feel completely let down and robbed. The car was working perfectly and am now left with a car ready for scrap. The next day I had a qualified mechanic look at it. He said it was doubtful if it could be fixed properly.
I think that in the circumstances Allcarrs should offer me a refund
