Deceitful
Had the highest bid on a part exchange camper on e bay. Reserve not met. Contacted company sales who said thy would check figures and see if they would release the van later in the day. No contact. After 3 phone calls, they eventually phoned to say they had sold it to someone else. No opportunity was given to make a higher offer. MD would not take my call , lady i spoke to agreed that it was not the way to do business but i would have to take it up with the sales manager Lee who spoke to me about the van. He had just gone to the dentist!
incapable of supporting a warranty
I bought a new motorhome in March 2011. On it's first holiday, 17 things were wrong and 5 bits fell off including the number plate. In its first 5 months it was off the road for 95 days. 2 holidays were cancelled. They simply had no competent service personnel, especially in electrics. Swifts had to get a freelance to sort out a non - retracting step, because in 5 months and many returns, AEG had nobody capable of understanding the problem
AEG refused to do further work on the warranty 6 months before the 3 year period, with 5 repair items still outstanding. Swifts have been very good in ensuring that the AEG failures were put right elsewhere. AEG considered it OK to have to keep the loo door closed with an elastic band, or to have a leaking kitchen window, this on a new motorhome.
Throughout I have found the administration non-existent, staff turnover inconsistent with any normal level of customer service and the Managing Director, the rudest person I have ever come across.
County Court judgment 3QZ41643 was obtained against All Electric garages for their incompetence.
