Appalling Customer Service
I employed Alliance Truss to provide trusses for my home addition. Whilst they were slightly expensive, the trusses were completed quickly and were well made.
Unfortunately, my concrete contractor made a mistake making the slab wider than was specified so the trusses needed a repair. This is where things started to go wrong. My concrete contractor suggested that he would extend the trusses for us. However, we checked with Alliance Truss and they said that this would not work and they would come up with a better solution. This they said they had done and they could either send us the repair details or they would send out a crew to perform the repair.
We opted for them to perform the repair. They estimated the job would take 4 hours and we agreed a sum based on that. I asked Alliance Truss for details of the repair they were going to do. This was not forthcoming and they said they would discuss it with me when they arrived on site. We agreed that they would come on a Friday. They demanded payment up front for the work.
They turned up on a Thursday when I was out of state and did a partial repair. This took 1,5 hours. When I pointed out to them they had turned up on the wrong day, only spent a fraction of the agreed time and had only done a partial repair, they refused to provide any refund, claiming incorrectly they had done what was agreed.
