I had a terrible experience with this…
I had a terrible experience with this driving school,Alistair to be precise.I deposited £136 for a practical lesson, only to find out they never had any availability to begin with. As my test date got closer, I contacted them for a refund so I could book with another school. They ignored my calls and messages for a long time. When they finally replied, they told me I needed to change my test date so they could “look for another available slot.” I clearly stated that I wanted a refund, but they outright refused. I would not recommend this driving school to anyone. Their customer service is extremely poor, and they clearly have no regard for their clients’ time or money.
Shambles of a company
Paid my deposit on the 14th of June for 15 hours intensive course. Had no contact from anyone at this company until 23rd July. They booked my intensive course for the 29th July at 8.45. So with short notice I had to take a week off work to do this. The instructor did not arrive at all, I phoned and left messages several times, still no reply. They will take your money and run. Absolute shambles of a company. STAY AWAY AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
!!! do not use this company !!!
One word: HORRENDOUS
Another word: AVOID
I can't even contact this company for info prior to paying.
Get this... I have been trying to contact this company (or person) for a week via email and two different phone numbers. I have received no answer to the emails, and the phone numbers go straight to voicemail. I have not paid for anything - and there is no way I'm going to now.
Look at some of these other reviews - sounds like these poor folks have encountered exactly the same issue after paying. Furthermore, the company have replied to some of these negative reviews in a blatantly unprofessional manner. See for yourself.
Avoid. Seriously, don't go anywhere near this company. Red flags flying everywhere.

Terrible instructor, you better off booking with another school and not waste your money.

Communication poor
Communication poor. Never received any contact from a driving instructor despite an email from Alastair stating they would contact me and to get in touch if I hadn't heard in 48 hours...
I waited a month and when I text him I was ignored until I asked for a refund...
I received a partial refund. Alastair claimed that if I sought a full refund from PayPal he would take me to small claims. Spoke to a solicitor as his mobile website doesnt clearly display his terms and conditions and that theres no link to his terms and conditons on his enrolment form. Decided its not worth the hassle for such a small amount of money and told him to buy himself a Chinese lol.
However, I will be reporting to trading standards.
Also be aware that this is in his terms and conditions and may explain why reviews on Google are from individuals who have yet to actually start lessons with him.
"It is a condition of booking an intensive driving course with APD that: 1. Weekend practical test fee supplement charges/rates must be paid by the pupil concerned; 2. The pupil provides a Google review, likes APD on Facebook and leaves a comment in addition to providing feedback via the APD website."
Horrendous! Seriously this guys a joke
Horrendous! Seriously the guys a joke! No idea on how to run a business. Doesn’t correspond for months, doesn’t answer any emails or phone calls, thinks he can then take £95 off the refund, as it’s in his “terms and conditions” yet the man, doesn’t even know what they are!
His business model is to take students hard earned money and then Ignore them. Honestly please please please don’t go with this guy, he is a charlatan!

I wish I could give them a -1 rating
I wish I could give them a -1 rating. Complete waste of my money as I haven’t received a refund after a year of trying to get a lesson out of my deposit.
Save yourselves the grief and do NOT use this service
Shambolic , Give them a wide berth
My son booked some lessons and a test for 6th Jan 23. Leading up to the test no response from messages to Alastair. The day before the test we eventually get through to be told no lessons and no test . Promised refund after another few days where he said he would rebook. Another two phone calls again promised refund and nothing . The guy basically just lies and If we hadn't went through a paypal dispute we wont probably wouldn't have been refunded. The fact he can take money from a 19 year old and give no explanation or response is unbeilevable. Do yourselves a favour and go elsewhere .
Don’t deliver automatic choice, no refund, no response
Selected an automatic course option from their website and paid. They then advised they don’t have an automatic car…suggested we consider manual option and if not would refund.
After dozens of unanswered calls, and unanswered emails spread over three months they still haven’t confirmed a refund and now I’ll have to chase via credit card company.
I don't think I've ever left a review…
I don't think I've ever left a review in my life but have been looking for a company to do my driving lessons with and called at 9pm in the evening. Not only did someone answer the phone, they proceeded to give me the most wonderful and essential and most helpful advice on next steps to take. Thank you Alistair for being the kindest, good spirited person I've had on the phone in a very ling time. If the lessons are anything like the humans behind the company, everyone is in for a treat.
