This was a trip of a lifetime. Zanzibar/Tanzania 2025. Everything that could go wrong may have gone wrong. All of these challenges were of no fault of Alma travel. Riley was a Rockstar with her attention to detail. Every challenge was met with positivity and a can do attitude. The group was amazing! If you know you know.

Trying to describe all of the incredible experiences, tastes and adventures shared on the Guatemala/Costa Rica 2 country tour is simply too hard to put into words!
If you are into a truly soul satisfying, heartwarming, mind bending amazing 3 weeks, this tour is for you.
Hosted by the dynamic duo of Kim #Almatravel and Elisha #chasincleancoasts, each woman is exceptional at what they do. Together they were remarkable! Every little detail was well thought out in keeping with the group's preferences, energy level and ability in mind. No request goes ignored and surprises are a fun added bonus. I loved it all and can't wait to travel with them again! Life is short, don't hesitate, book a trip!

This was my second trip with Alma Travel Group, and my third with Kim. Under her expert guidance, we were able to see so much of what Guatemala has to offer.

We were able to interact with and help the communities around Lake Atitlan; we learned to cook a guatemalan dish; and even had the opportunity to test our dexterity at weaving.

Visiting Tikal, Semuc Champey, the Biotopo del Quetzal, and the charming city of Flores, allowed us to appreciate the history, nature and beauty of Guatemala.

Absolutely fantastic tour in Guatemala with Kim. We visited loads of amazing places, climbed volcanoes, hiked up to Semuc Champey, visited nurseries which was such a humbling experience ♥️I can’t recommend Alma Travel enough. Kim goes over and above to make your holiday so special ♥️

Wow what can I say our trip to Peru with Alma Travel was nothing less than superb. We went from the Amazon to the Andes with so much in-between. Everything was faultlessly planned and executed, from the transport be it by plane, boat or road, the accommodation, the activities and the excellent guides, everything was first class. Kim our tour leader went above and beyond to ensure not only our well being but also our enjoyment. We did many unusual things that you wouldn't find elsewhere such as a three day stay in an Amazonian village. Alma Travel promote eco tourism, sustainability and awareness of an indigenous way of life. Kims' Husband Alex is also very caring and helped us constantly alongside Kim. I highly recommend Alma Travel and would have no hesitation trusting Kim and Alex to make any trip booked with them unforgettable.

Wow.. just wow!! Such great experiences on our two week tour of Peru! We shared the lives of a community living sustainably in the Amazonian jungle, immersed ourselves in the life of an Inca family group and learned so much about the history of Peru. Kim and Alex were with us all the way, making sure the arrangements ran smoothly, looking after us when we fell ill and just coming up with more surprises and adventures, above and beyond what was mentioned in the trip guide. I had a fabulous time, met some amazing people and came home with such wonderful memories…don’t hesitate.. book it… you won’t regret it!

Kim and Alex are amazing and the epitome of great hosts. Casa Alma is beautiful, the food is amazing, the programming is spot on, and the knowledge you gain just by riding along with them from place to place is second to none. My wife and I chaperoned a school trip to do some service learning mixed with adventuring about in Costa Rica and Kim and Alex were amazing every step of the way. They were amazing with our group and are the most welcoming and friendly people anyone could hope to find when visiting a new place. If you are looking for a small-group, eco-friendly travel experience in Latin America, then you have come to the right place! Alma Travel Group is a company with heart that respects the environment and supports local initiatives. Each tour offers opportunities to participate in community projects while touring the beautiful sites and exploring the magnificent landscapes. Having just returned from the Guatemala trip, my heart is full of joy with incredible memories, endearing connections made, amazing discoveries and breathtaking moments. So many unique activities and experiences (an in-home cooking class, carving jade, tubing, visiting a bat cave, hiking up a volcano, walking in a cloud forest, attending a Kindergarten graduation, installing new stoves for families, just to name a few). The trip was well-paced with built-in free time, the accommodations were well-situated and very comfortable, and the attention to detail was very efficient. Kim and the entire Alma team are very dedicated, conscientious, friendly and helpful! Nature lovers and adventure seekers, you won’t be disappointed!

The most inspirational, action packed two weeks spent in Peru. Kim and Alma Travel organised so much, nothing was forgotten and we felt safe in all areas.
Would totally recommend this trip to everyone whether you are young or not quite so young!
Jungle experience was challenging, in a life affirming way, amazing wildlife, lodge and the food was delicious!
The Andes part was had the most profundity spiritual aspects I have ever experienced.
To finish with climbing Rainbow Mountain was a memory that will remain with me forever.

Just got back from Peru with Alma Travel and I loved every minute.. Our small group participated in crazy unique activities that were purposefully thought out and very memorable. Grateful for Kim and the love she puts into our experiences..

Kim made our tour of Guatemala fantastic. We were a small group of like-minded travellers. Kim is the best guide I have ever encountered. She showed us so much of what Guatemala can offer. We had a fantastic experience. We went to Antigua, Lake Atitlan and several of its lakeside villages, Lanquin, Flores, Tikal and Guatemala City. We mastered jade jewellery making and learned how to make peanut butter. We are also now accomplished weavers! We learned about coffee and honey production. Volunteer projects enabled us to become involved with and help the lakeside communities at Atitlan. We enjoyed cities, mountains, lakes and rivers, volcanoes and ancient ruins. The food was consistently excellent and the Guatemalan hotels we stayed at were spot on! I cannot recommend Alma Travel's Guatemala tour highly enough.

Grateful to have even one night at Alma on my way out of Costa Rica. Kim & Alex are genuinely warm and inviting hosts, and it is because of this Alma quickly feels like home. The rooms and facilities are beautiful and spacious. Would have loved to stay longer. Muchas gracias!!!!

I have stayed many times at Casa Alma in San José, Costa Rica. It’s a beautiful place, incredibly well located and Kim, Alex and team are the best hosts! I guarantee you will be very pleased with your stay and if you are looking for meaningful travel experiences, Alma is the way to go!

Kim and Alex hosted my husband and I at Casa Alma for an extended stay. The house is beautiful, comfortable, well appointed, and in a great location for walking to see San Jose sites. It really is an oasis of joy and rest. Kim and Alex are incredible people, full of love and support. They bent over backwards to ensure we had a good stay, and really went above and beyond. We cannot recommend Alma Travel enough!

Kim and the rest of the team go above and beyond to make these trips incredibly special. Their passion for both Costa Rica and Peru, as well as supporting local communities is evident.
