Totally inflexible when I asked to change my flight (and transfer) for an urgent family matter. Impersonal customer service that doesn’t care about local and loyal customers living in the Alps!

Chamonix to Geneva Airport Transit
Picked up in Chamonix to go to Geneva airport. Transport on time and courteous driver called Pedro assisted. Very busy period due to UTMB but they still delivered.

Unethical company who rip people off
Unethical company who take money from people and then don’t deliver.
I phoned Alpybus and had a time agreed with them for transfer from Chamonix to Geneva airport. I told them I couldn’t make any earlier and they reassured me it wouldn’t be earlier and the pick up time I requested was fine.
I then receive an email confirming an earlier time. I explained to them of the original time agreed and that I can’t make the time. Despite the fact that they were unable to make the agreed time with the knowledge I couldn’t make an earlier time, they refuse to refund the money I spent. I had to pay again to go with a more reputable company to make my transfer. I would recommend anyone not to use this unethical company

Geneva to Chamonix
We had a pleasant transfer from Geneva to Chamonix. Our driver Pedro was great, and helped loading the bags on to the bus for us. Would definitely book again.

BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
This was a absolutely terrible
service. First off, after booking, I
was told I would need to pay for an
extra bag (€20). Then, 18 hours
before my flight the bus departure
time was changed, making my flight
impossible.
I went to the information booth at
the Chamonix bus station and the
woman explained that she wouldn't
work with AlpyBus because their
services are suspect.
These guys are the only company
for early morning departures from
Chamonix-Geneva and thus take
advantage... it's a bait and switch
scam. Book with them at your own RISK!!

I booked on a shared transfer
I booked on a shared transfer from Geneva airport to Servoz. It departed slightly later (30 mins) than anticipated but this was not a major problem for me. Pedro was our driver and he was safe, efficient and courteous.

Extremely poor service and misleading information
Our family booked 6 months in advance for a transfer from Geneva Airport to Avoriaz. The evening before departure we receive a text message that our transfer will be 6 (six!) hours after our arrival at Geneva Airport. I was unable to reach Alpybus by phone (tried numerous times) and then cancelled our reservation. We instead took a taxi to Avoriaz. In the days and weeks after I spoke numerous times to Alpybus’ customer service who claimed that it was written on the website that when booking a transfer all the way up to Avoriaz, then limited options would be available and waiting time could be expected. This is in my book not at all equivalent to waiting an extreme of 6 hours, so I asked for refund or at least a voucher. This was refused and it was also declined that I could speak with a supervisor - despite many many attempts to call. I will NEVER ever book with Alpybus again as theit information and service to customers is simply horrible.

The worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my life
If i could give the - stars I would! Do not even waste your time money or energy with this company….they are an absolute waste of space!!
Wouldn’t refund my booking, after numerous phone calls with quite frankly useless members of staff / when I pointed out their terms and booking + a whole lot of agro they finally agreed to a refund.
7 months later of chasing constantly still haven’t received a refund with utter diabolical excuses as to why I don’t have my money back
They are an absolute joke and need to close down!!!

They literally didn't pick us up
They literally didn't pick us up. The bus went to a different location than the one we told us. No call no messages. We ended up getting a €400 taxi to the airport. Save time and stress and just rent a car.

Run by COWBOYS - AVOID AT ALLCOSTS !
Arrived at Geneva with plenty of time before planned transfer to Megeve, told to wait by a pillar until my name was called. The member of staff behind the desk clearly pointed to the big pillar. As always Geneva was busy, but i kept my eyes on the staff calling out names for the different transfers. Nothing. Went back to the desk to be told by someone else
I was in fact waiting at the wrong pillar and my name had been called and the bus had left, next one was 2 hours time. I refused to wait at 'the pillar' and waited at desk to listen to the two members of staff have an argument about which pillar customers should wait at for the Megeve bus ! no apology just laughed at me !
When my name was called the same two staff pointed at the opposite pillars to tell me to wait for my Megeve transfer !! they still couldn't get it right !!! what an absolute bunch of cowboys !! DO NOT USE

FRAUD! AVOID!
FRAUD! SCAM! AVOID!!
This company will take your money and then provide a car that cannot take everyone you have paid for! They will also not do what is in their terms and conditions if it harms them, but will resort to the terms even under fraudulent claims.
I paid for a 7 person private transfer but they gave me a car that only fit 5 people. I also gave them warning of changes with more than 7 days, as per their terms, and they did not refund, failing to comply with their own terms.
In the end the service was provided by Geneva Airport Transfers (GAT)
So they took my money and outsourced to another company with a smaller car than the number of people I paid for!!!
Edit: this company replied and helps demonstrate that they lie to attempt to be right and trick consumers. A 7 seater vito cannot take 7 people and their bags on a ski trip. That is why in the original plan (of which I have e-mail proof) they themselves said they would use larger cars. Had they replied a Vito I would have not hired them as I’ve had the experience of not fitting 7 people+ski bags in a Vito. (And they know this, which is why they initially said it was a larger car).
Also they reply “ There was no difference in fare for a private transfer when amended from 7 passengers to 5.” Which everyone knows that obviously there is a difference in taking 7 people than 5. So now they even admit a reimbursement is valid, but hide behind the lie that “taking 7 people is the same fare as taking 5”
The companies reply demonstrates clearly the validity and truth of my review.
BEWARE! This company will lie to steal money and not comply with their own terms of service! Read the other recent reviews and see how they lie about “fare differences” and lie about “ vehicle as originally reserved.”
AVOID

Arrived at 12:15 had been sent confirmation that the bus left at 1:30 but then for unknown reason - other than ‘human error’- we were put on the 3:30 - meaning we didn’t get our skis and passes sorted and delayed the start of our holiday- rubbish service wouldn’t use them again - train much easier and cheaper

Pedro was a very courteous and helpful driver. His driving was safe and efficient. He helped me, a solo traveller with skis etc, with luggage loading and unloading, and also with obtaining a trolley at Geneva.
The Alpybus arrived on time for my 07-00 (at 7.30am ) pickup for return journey but it would have been reassuring if the company could have responded to my email communications the previous day, as my phone wouldn't text or call unexpectedly. I was sent two different pick up times, 7am and 7.30am and as the only person at the proposed pick up still wasn't sure if the bus would arrive or not.

DO NOT USE ALPYBUS
Similar to many other stories on here...
On the outbound transfer, (Geneva to Morzine) they texted that they had booked us onto a transfer bus that left at 16:10 when our flight arrived at 16:45. After calling to try and change this we were offered a transfer on the 10pm bus (a five hour wait) - as all the other busses were now full. Seemingly, they had assumed (even with all the flight details on the booking) that the flight would arrive at 15:15 so guess somebody forget the time difference. No apology and no acceptance of making a mistake and basically told to wait for the last bus transfer or if we weren't happy with that then go book another transfer...which we did with a resort private taxi.
Now seeking a refund...will not be using AlpyBus ever again or recommending...

Terrible avoid
Terrible customer service, unbelievable that they can cancel busses at last minute, not respond to email/phone and provide transfer times many hours different to what they promise.

Excellent service
Excellent service, pur flight arrived early and they were able to accommodate us onto an earlier shuttle with ease, saving us a long wait at the airport. Great value for service and they we were able to add our ski bag for only €2! Fantastic! Pedro, our driver, was great, dropped us right to our hotel door in Les Houches without issues but with a smile.
Highly recommended this service.
