I would like to believe that we were the unlucky customer but so much went wrong that I believe this to be a result of a lack of business systems, experience and team communications. AES delivered the wrong panels twice, forgot to supply the optimisers, delivered insufficient quantities of mounting materials and tried to extract themselves from fitting the essential bird mesh - all of which extended the installation from ‘one or two days’ to 6 weeks of misery whilst they blamed each other or their suppliers. The installers contracted by AES generally performed good quality work and took great care – although why they stopped halfway through the replacement of damaged tiles is a complete mystery considering the good work performed until then.
What was even worse was the total lack of empathy or apology from the directors who ignored emails and appeared to not care – I may not have written this review had they engaged and we worked together to resolve the issues. I was just blanked by AES although one valiant customer relationship manager continues to address the outstanding documentation and questions – even so many of the latter could have been addressed by a proper user induction session.
The 25 years of experience they claim must be embodied between the installation teams but the service we received felt like the AES business had less than 25 weeks of experience. Beware.
I will provide an update once the outstanding documentation and questions are addressed. Yes, the system is operating but I have questions that need to be answered to improve my confidence that all is working as it should.
