I was fed up with net curtains, so did some research on an alternative option. Smashguard Windows offered a non mirror natural looking film, so I decided to get a quote. This is done via the website and is very easy. I decided to proceed.
Darren arrived promptly and was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and reassuring at every stage. He made sure we were happy with the result before moving on to the next window.
I am very happy with the results and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this service.

What a great product and Darren's standard of work is first rate. Have used Smashgard a few times over the years and always had great service from Darren.

Darren has been to us twice now, first for the bedroom and now for the downstairs windows. Always smiling, efficient and right first time. Excellent service and also from Lynne the administrator.

Darren arrived too place film on four of our windows and we couldn't be happier. One window was a huge picture window opposite what was going to become a building site and we were so overlooked. Now we can watch the builders working and they cannot see into our house. Darren was so careful he removed every speck of dirt before taking a lot of time to smooth on the film. He also explained the process to us and gave us the opportunity to change the type of film if we wanted to. We also had a brilliant lesson about the different types of glass that you can get. So well done Darren it was a pleasure to have you in our home.

So back in February I arranged film to be applied to 1 window in my lounge purely due to the high temperature reached on very warm days. No other rooms gets so hot. I waited to review the job to see how much difference it would make in a heatwave. I first noticed it was at least 1° warmer in winter so that's a bonus. The last week or so has seen tempretures reach 34° so it's had a good test! I am so pleased I had the window done. It was always 2-3° warmer than outside, now its that much cooler. Its currently 26° outside but 23.7° in my lounge. I may do the dining room just because the slight tint gives privacy and I like the idea of both rooms matching in that respect.
If you currently suffer on really hot days, spend time blocking the window with blankets or cardboard (yes I did), then this may be the answer for you. Wish I'd done it years ago. Oh and the fitting was slick, thank you Darren.

I had been searching for some time for something suitable for privacy on my front windows. I'm so glad I found this company. Excellent communication from Lynne from the start. The product does exactly what I wanted. I still get light coming through but passers by can't see in. Darren took his time to provide advice and worked meticulously. Highly recommended.

Darren (the fitter) was friendly, knowledgeable & nothing too much trouble. He ensures his work is of impeccable standards & makes sure you’re happy with the finished product, even going above & beyond by providing his experience to suggest which filters would work better in which rooms.

The product he uses is of high standards & ensures it’s fitted correctly before he leaves the premises.

I would certainly recommend Smashgard to those thinking about having privacy film installed.

We have a conservatory that is very exposed and also gets very hot in the summer. We got some excellent advice on the best options for privacy and heat protection. They were really helpful throughout the process from measurements, quotation, selecting the right film and aftercare.
The fitting of the film was carried out professionally by talking through the process, showing what it would look like and leaving the conservatory clean and tidy afterwards.
Really happy with the film and service we received, could not have asked for a better experience.

Since our neighbour removed the lovely blossom tree from their garden, and advent of Working from Home, we're rather exposed, being in a terrace. I searched for an alternative to nets and blinds, and was delighted to discover this window film.

Smashgard are a terrific company. I completed the online quote form, and when they called me to discuss it, Lynn was so diligent in double-checking if I'd made a mistake with my measurements; some of it I'd put in cm, and some in mm. Such a genuine and helpful person.

Darren did an amazing job of helping us to choose the right film and installing it for us, by ensuring that we chose the best one to suit our room & requirements. He is so patient, and very efficient.

Absolutely worth the £, we had a job getting a date suitable that worked for the both of us but we persevered & we managed to get a suitable date that worked for us both. Well worth the wait. All staff very friendly we had the back of our property bedroom & kitchen done a couple of years ago & now had our front room & dining room done the other day. So pleased with it Darren does a good job he cleans up after himself & he wears house shoes so they haven’t been outside. 5 stars

Fantastic service and did a brilliant job with our windows and left the room in perfect condition afterwards. From the start of our enquiry, customer service was friendly and efficient and the after service, sending our receipted invoice without us having to request was a breath of fresh air. I would highly recommend them.

I cannot recommend this company and it's product highly enough: Darren is friendly but highly professional and likes to explain about his products to give reassurance, which he definitely does. The work is done quickly and neatly without leaving any mess - unlike some companies! I am thrilled with the product and would gladly recommend to anyone who would like some form of 'privacy'.
