The service was prompt, efficient in execution, and left everything neat and tidy. Extremely pleased with the overall experience.

It can be difficult to find a company you can have confidence in, but AltonFS advised me all the way to getting a CofC for our septic tank. A new system was req'd. The installation team were brilliant, they took time to plan out & discuss how the new tank and drainage field could be fitted in to our garden sympathetically. Weather was against them, but they finished on time and were upbeat throughout. Thanks Dan, Craig, Mark & Jack

These guys are experts in their field. My house is off grid and therefore we have a sump pump to pump the 'water' to the main grid. Cut a long story short - my only working pump had packed in and had a new one installed last year by another company but had major issues. Tom (lovely and extremely knowledgable and helpful guy) came and sorted it all out for me. Kept me informed all the way through and didn't even need a cup of tea!! What a great fella and a credit to his business - these guys do the electrics and everything so a one stop shop. I hear what people say about costs etc but this company are specialists and really know what they are doing so if you want it sorted just go with them in the first place - wish I had!!

Sadly this was a bad experience with this company. £456.00 call out charge just to look at a pump, which apparently was not the problem but the water softener was. They bye passed the water softener which a few hours later, stopped the water! I left a message on their landline, no call back, so money wasted which I can not afford. Then they emailed me a quote for a new softener and fitting cost over 1k saying that I had a discount. A water softener company (with a much cheaper quote) came out and had a look, the water softener was working perfectly well! The problem was the sump pump which this company had totally over looked, I have since emailed them complaining about this episode but they have ignored me. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY

One of my clients old septic tank had failed, so we called Alton pumps for help, they came out the same day to have a look and advised on the best way forward. A quotation was given and accepted, the tank was pumped out the next day and a pipe repaired. My customer was very pleased. Very professional service. We have used their services three or four times since on different projects.

Had Alton Pumps team out sort out a blocked drain on one of my properties from the first point of contact with the guys in the office to the engineers that came out and see me. I cannot recommend them enough very fast smooth operation would not hesitate to use them again highly recommended

My whole house booster pump failed and I made the mistake of calling them. They were pretty keen to come out and after paying their callout charge (£468 inc VAT) they came, stayed for 5 mins to tell me that I need a new pump. I complained that despite me describing exactly the problem over the phone they wanted to book the visit rather than tell me that probably a new one is required.

They offered to replace the pump with a new one, price quoted for the pump was just over £2200 inc vat when similar ones can be bought for less than £1250 inc vat. They offered to do the installation for about £300 rather than their usual over £600 charge (a half-decent plumber can do the installation in less than 30 mins).

I can not comment on the quality of work since they didn't do any for me but my advice related to their prices is to be EXTREMELLY careful and do your homework. Buyer beware !

Our pump had been leaking for a while and we could not get to the bottom of the issue. An emergency call out with this company identified the problem and what the solutions could be. Great service and knowledgable engineers. Thank you.

During my house move, I needed to conduct a Drainage/Sewage Compliance survey at very short notice. Despite being busy, Alton Pumps sent someone out a couple of days later. The engineer was prompt, friendly and polite and even organised a discount to be repaid back because the work he actually did was less than expected.

They then organised the Compliance report in super-quick time.

This was amazing service - a pleasure to deal with.

Engineer turned up unprepared, despite having been told about the problems in advance. He attempted a repair, but was unable to complete it. He booked another visit for the following week to finish the job. Or at least he told me he had.

They quoted me an exorbitant amount to make the repairs. When I queried the quote and asked for a breakdown, they had quoted to replace parts that weren't broken and had double charged for labour. They claimed that individual components weren't available and that they'd need to replace the whole control board. As a private individual I was able to source and have those components in my possession the following day after a 5 minute Google search. That they were unable to do so themselves with their industry connections says a lot.

They didn't turn up for the booking, and refused to take responsibility for the errors that they had made regarding the booking, which left me with overflowing sewage for two weeks. Their operations director was rude and unhelpful, showing no remorse and no inclination to help me get things fixed. I gave up and found another local company that was able to do the job at a quarter of the price in a fraction of the time. I would never use them again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!! I PURSHASED A 1989 FORD ESCORT RS TURBO FROM THIS COMPANY VIA A EBAY LISTING SELLERS NAME WAS JASON. I PAID £9000 FOR THIS CAR THAT WAS ADVERTISED WITH 12 MONTHS MOT EVERYTHING WORKING AS IT SHOULD. UPON COLLECTING THE CAR THE CAR STARTED FINE I DROVE TOWARDS THE MOTORWAY HEADING HOME I DROVE APPROXIMATELY 4.5 MILES TO REACH THE MOTORWAY , UPON ENTERING THE MOTORWAY ON THE SLIP ROAD TRAVELING AT 50MPH THE CAR STALLED AND CUT OUT I PULLED OVER TO THE HARD SHOULDER AND TRIED TO START IT AND IT STARTED STRAIGHT AWAY SO I CONTINUED MY JOURNEY KEEPING TO A STEADY 60MPH HOWEVER THE CAR JUST KEPT CUTTING OUT UNTIL IT WOULD NO LONGER START. I CALLED JASON FROM ALTON PUMP SERVICE WHOM JUST SOLD ME THE CAR TO ASK WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE CAR HE ANSWERED AND WAS VERY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL... I CALLED RECOVERY TO COME TO PICK UP THE CAR AND TAKE IT HOME . NOW I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE PROFESSIONAL MECHANICS INSPECT THE CAR WHO HAVE ALL STATED THE CAR IS UNROAD WORTHY AND A FIRE HAZARD DUE TO ALL THE WIRING ALSO WE NOTICED THERE WAS NO HORN NO INDICATORS NO HAZARDS AND THE GUY LET ME LEAVE THE BUSINESS PREMISES TO DRIVE IT FROM LONDON TO BIRMINGHAM ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOUR THIS IS PLAYING WITH PEOPLE'S LIFES NOT TO MENTION DECEIVING AND OUT RIGHT THEFT

TRUST ME SHOP ELSEWHERE IT IS JUST NOT WORTH GETTING ROBBED BY THIS COMPANY OR HAVING YOUR LIFE PUT IN DANGER TO ENABLE THIS BUSINESS TO MAKE A FEW QUID

I am very impressed with the customer service yesterday were very helpful spend a lot time on the phone resolving the problem .I got a message back to make sure all was ok.

Did exactly what they said they would do on time and on budget.
Dealt with issues without drama and just nice people to do business with.

I would most definitely use them again and highly recommend them.
