I’m a current flex driver covering the West Midlands area.
Flex is probably the best part time job you can get. I’ve just had my standing reduced because of a couple of mistakes. Flex isn’t easy and I’d strongly recommend that anyone interested needs to know the City centre they could possibly be delivering in. You need to know where you can park and any current driving restrictions.
City centres are awful but you can go many weeks without getting a City block.
Amazon pay exactly what they say , no excuses and do that on a weekly basis. This job won’t suit everyone and I could still fail myself yet I’ve loved every minute of it.

Please be fair to the drivers

Please be fair to the drivers. I went for my booked slot from 1745-2045, I was happy to see only 7 parcels in the basket. The first drop was 45 mins (39 miles away). First 3 drops were within 5 miles and the remaining 4 were further up. Last parcel was 25 miles more further from the second last. It took me 1 hour 20 mins to get home. I drove 140 miles for only 7 parcels for £45 plus I’ve paid toll charges which I will not be compensated for.

Amazon Flex UK 👎👎👎 AVOID AVOID AVOID

If I can only give ZERO star, I WILL!!! Don’t ever think to join this delivery service! They will give you a block allotment randomly as per booked hours when you arrived on their collection point. Mostly, they will prepare a block with plenty of stops that the time allotted was was not enough. When you file a complain or feedback about it, customer service don’t care! They will always say that you were been paid sufficiently even they are aware you will go pass the booked time until your last stop! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

There are more delivery service companies that are better with amazon flex on how they treat their partners! This company only concern is their business regardless what their so called very important Driver Partners encountered situations…

I AM QUITTING!

Likewise if there was a zero star it’s would be given
Drivers support is based somewhere in India and have been given misleading information

26/02/2022 I had a 2 hour shift at 13.30 - 15.30
The same day I booked a second shift 16.00 - 18.00
As I finished my first shift I was on the way back to the depot to start my second shift and got caught in traffic. I called the drivers customer service on two separate occasions between 15.30- 16.00 and I told them i could possibly be late for my second shift
I was assured it wasn’t a problem if I arrive no more that ten minutes late and to call driver support when I get there so they can reinstate my schedule
I arrived at 16.10
Once I got to the depot a notification of a missed shift appeared on my app I continued to follow instructions and called driver support (twice ) on both occasions the call was dropped on the other line before i could speak to anyone . I eventually got through at 16.20
And spoke to Bharath customer service who advised me to write the email of complaints Extremely disappointed

The also don’t cover toll fees and on almost all of my shift they send me to locations that toll fees cannot be avoided

If I could give 0 star I would

If I could give 0 star I would. I arrived at the Enfield Center DIG1 to start my block when one of Amazons large trolly rolled into my car causing a lot of damage.

I called Amazon and got told that someone would give me a call back. No one called or emailed to follow up on the situation.

I am no left with a damage car and will be reporting matters to the police.

Amazon do don’t care about their drivers as they would of provided alot of support.

I will be making a claim through .Gov if I have to go into my own pocket to fix my car.

I also got told that they would pay me for my 3h block and they did not pay me.

NEVER AGAIN!!!

I wish I could give a zero star

I wish I could give a zero star, I had work with them a few times they have no remorse they're like not humans I was getting a bit on the side it was good until I needed them and they terminate my account. They don't care about what you go through or what your facing they just wants robots not humans!!! I struggle with depression for years, and then I was in a very abusive relationship which I had to walk away from not im stress my depression has kicked in then myself and my children was threatened by this man in our own home which led me to do an emergency moving with help from the council i missed a few blocks no one asked whats happening they just terminate my account I've Emailed them a few times regarding this and they're as cold as the sea!!! No remorse no consideration no checking on their workers it is a load a crap!! I'm beyond disappointed and disgusted how they've treated me after how time I go above and beyond just to make them happy im even doing redelivery because they rang and asked me to do so!!! This amazon flex thing is not worth it your better off finding something with humans actually working for them and not robots.

Requesting personal details but doesn’t give you any jobs

Apparently, they keep on requesting for staff over and over but when you try to submit application and give all your details there is no deliveries opened for my area?! I been trying for months checking out if something appears and nothing!?

So my question is, why do they requested all my personal details if they don’t need any drivers?! Upsets me!

Furious at abuse, lies and ignorance of Amazon Flex

Out of desperation, I started with Amazon Flex and started in Regents Park NSW.
1st day Friday 26th November and continued to Sat, Sun, Mon, Tuesday. I skipped Wednesday because day after day my number of parcels increased. Today is Thursday and I took two jobs(blocks) 8:45am(3hours) and 12:15pm (4hours).
The morning block was (36parcels) actually more than some blocks I delivered in previous days in 4 hour blocks. The pay was for 3 hours. Because I have debts to pay, I accepted two blocks for today and because I finished my 36 parcels in 3 hours and 17 minutes and that failed me arriving to the dispatch for loading my 2nd Block.
They would not allow me to pick up or forfeit the missed block because I arrived at the pick up at 12:37pm.
I had to email them to explain and They sent me an email and in that they mentioned "investigating why you did not pick up".
I hated these operators and peasants of Jeff the goose Bezoss because of a different scam, Amazon sent to drivers to drive during the Black Friday to Monday and while you pick up every block between 26-29 November, drivers will get one $500 and less scratchies gift cards from Amazon .
What surprised me was the fact that the Amazon staff did not hand over a single card to any drivers during those 4 days I was on duty.
I think this is enough said about Jeff Bezoss. If he did not allow this to be a normal practice, the atmosphere would have been different.
Calls to Amazon are answered from peasant nations like Philippines and India.
Half the time they're so dumb, you have to keep repeating.

Amazon Flex app allow us to pick…

Amazon Flex app allow us to pick packages after we are 4 minutes late but new depot in dls4 Leeds West Yorkshire have non sense rule that they only allow drivers to get routes when they are exact at time even app allow 5 min delay. And yard is about 5 min drive from security gate.so after checkup at security gate even you are on time if you reach the yard you will be 1 or 2 min late and they refuse to give you the route.

Worked for Amazon flex for a year

Worked for Amazon flex for a year. Always completed work, always been courteous and always been friendly and kind to everyone. Always done my job properly. Then after a year I get an email to say that I have violated The customer service terms and conditions. No explanation nothing and just like that my account was deactivated. The Amazon flex driver support is absolutely useless. When you call them you do not get the help you need which then makes you late for your schedule and then this has an impact on your work!! I feel that me asking for support in this way has made me violate customer service simply because I wasn’t getting the support I needed and at no point was I angry I just asked for help and just like that and without warning I am out of a job!!

MODERN DAY SLAVERY IN UK!!!!!!!

I used to have great admiration and respect for Amazon for great and diverse products, accessibility and prompt deliveries. I've enjoyed it for several years until my job prospects took a dive following the pandemic. The need to get something doing while looking for job prompted me to sign up for Amazon Flex. The sign up was fast, the DBS and everything was smooth until my first job! Whao!! what is this!! I almost wanted to commit suicide after the first job (3hr job for £39)!! First it took me 5 hrs to complete the 33 stops...the search for flat addresses...fuel...distance...unresponding navigation...etc. At the end of the day, my calculating mind suggested that the effective rate is not £13/hr but somewhere around £2/hr if you take into consideration the relative costs to the driver, the car fuelling and maintenance, wear and tear of the vehicle etc.
The Amazon Flex programme is designed to explot the plight of those looking to make a decent honest living!! Its no joke! UK Government should wade into this illegal slavery and exploitation of its citizens! If its possible to give minus 5 star...thats exactly its worth. Its a nauseating! I will never wish this job for an enemy...most repulsive!!

Is Amazon Flex one big SCAM for personal details!!!

I have one email address and I have been trying to get in touch with Amazon flex.
I’ve waited for months for them to get back to me,
1.) first it was to download the app,
2.) registering my email address and waiting for them to get back to me.
(Took 3months and then said when jobs come up we will be in touch).
3.) after 3months then it said jobs are available and I had to complete Tax, Direct deposit, Videos, Driving licence verification and a DBS check.
(All got completed).
4.) DBS completed through Accurate also got a paper copy sent to my home address.
5.) all checks from my side completed and heard Nothing back from Amazon flex, emailed them on Numerous Occasions and in reply I get a forwarded email saying my email address is NOT registered with Amazon flex.
This problem has been going on for another 3months.
5.) it’s NOT as if I haven’t been in contact with them with the same email address.
6.) yes I use the same email address for Amazon shopping, but that shouldn’t be an issue.
And why would you reply back to me and ask for all the information.

To be honest I’ve had inuff of it and don’t know where I stand with this company and don’t want to know now.

I want be using you services even in the shopping now.

Who ever reads this review I would specifically suggest you DON’T use them.
(If they do this peoples information, just gets you to think what else they can do).

Omg, this is hirrible.

Omg, this is so bad for customers. But it will finally help curb my shopping. What could be good about possibly nice, untrained people delivering your stuff? Even relief drivers are noticeable with UPS and Fedex, but they are professional. Work hard, but make a living, good, but for us, the packages end up where they're supposed to be. Right house, right road. I'm not getting that now. No snow and they still park in the road, ignore sidewalks to put packages on an unused open porch. Last Christmas they waded through knee deep snow to do the same, ignoring the shoveled walk and mudroom. The professional drivers and mail people take giant trucks up, no problem. Shoveled sidewalk should be a clue. But they are apparently clueless.

If there was a zero star button thats…

If there was a zero star button thats what Amazon flex would get !!
So after completing the waiting paperwork and security checks I commenced my first shift on 31/10/2021.
Ayelsford/Maidstone, Kent.
I took a 2.5 hour driving block for £35
Arrived at the depot and given a cage containing approx 46 parcels to be dropped at 40 approx different addresses.
The deliveries were for FOLKESTONE !! 40 miles away on the Kent coast. This was about 1 hours drive each way from the base . This left 30 minutes to complete all 46 deliveries !!
I said to the staff member, i think you have made a mistake. They said, No. I had scanned a few of these parcels and realised it was not worth doing for £35.
The staff member said i cant take them back they are now your property and you will get billed for them, I said , NO you take them back now this is a joke. At this point another staff member came over shouting you are sacked !
I got them to take the parcels back and said im not going to do this and left.
I was stunned by the way the staff spoke to me and this was my very first shift.
In short, This was supposed to be 2.5 hours being paid £35
In reality this would have been 80 miles round trip just to the delivery area, never mind the deliveries themselves. It would have taken 2 hours driving to the location and back and 2/3 hours to deliver those parcels.
After the petrol expense and journey time and only being paid £35 I WOULD HAVE BEEN OUT OF POCKET AND COST ME TO GO AND WORK !
Absolute shocking experience !!!!
CON. STAY AWAY, luckily i found out pretty quickly how bad this was.
Now I have decided to not use Amazon products .
Appalling human rights and slave labour for the desperate.
