Product recall
The notification to me of a product recall, and chat with their bot was productive and simple to manage with me getting a refund to my account.

It’s not impossible to get my parcel in time! NEVER!!!
I’ve had six months of extremely…
I’ve had six months of extremely terrible customer service. Parcels never arrive, delivery dates mean nothing on the actual app, customer service sticks to a script. They partner with inept and incompetent delivery drivers who either can’t read or don’t bother to look at delivery instructions. They keep on partnering with Deagonfly who is so far deliveries that a parcel I was supposed to get yesterday now won’t be demoted u til at least the 2 December, but I needed it for today. I’ve contacted them 4 times over this and they’ve all said there’s nothing they can do, yet they’ve broken basic consumer laws in Australia. Why are they still in business?
Deliveries who when!!
Deliveries: No notification via sms or email. Was told it will arrive in 2 weeks arrived in 3 days (Good). Product still shows up as yet to be delivered on the website under tracking. But it was left outside my place whilst i was away interstate. (my Neighbour would have stepped in to help, if i got a notification). No idea who the delivery company was. Amazon needs to step up this part of their operation
I bought an e-scooter through Amazon
I bought an e-scooter through Amazon. First of all they didn’t take responsibility for the sale passing me on to OzHeath when there was delays. They’ve used Hunter Express/Hunter Logistics which have continually proved to be useless. They’ve site doesn’t load and then the information was inaccurate. They’ve told me it was delivered but I’ve been home all day and nothing was delivered. You cannot speak to anyone as a follow up. This is the second product I’ve bought off them and I will find other alternatives. HUNTER EXPRESS is a cheap knock off logistics company.
Ninja air fryer
Ordered online. Come to the door but wouldn’t give me the order because I did not have a 6 digit code..didn’t get a email or text for a 6 digit code don’t recommend ordering of Amazon if you work away.. never had a problem with orders but now they want a 6 digit code that you don’t receive what a joke
Ordered woman’s shorts.Size 14
Ordered woman’s shorts.Size 14. Sent Size 10. Sent back. Received size 10 . Seriously. Have ordered a refund. I give up. Never again. Also there is no way to contact anyone at Amazon at all .
Amazon has been getting good at…
Amazon has been getting good at deliveries as time goes on. It use to take about two weeks for delivery, now most deliveries are made with 48 hours.
What has gotten worse is all the false and misleading advertisements shown. Amazon allows fake advertising even though it is against the law. Most of the sellers refuse to abide with consumers rights for faulty products, only a few sellers are on the ball and act fast to resolve such issues.
Many sellers do not have an abn so are again breaking the law and again Amazon allows law breakers and scammer to use the platform. Sound like the way ebay went years ago, a place mostly for scammer, law breaker, money laundering, criminal syndicates, etc with only a few real sellers.
Amazon has started to be a reseller for temu who sells for companies involved is adult and child slave labour. Yes Amazon is getting worse but delivering fast as time goes on.
Price change from advertised on Google
Very disappointed with Amazon. I did a comparison on Google for a product I wanted to purchase and the price shown for Amazon.com.au was one of the best but when I went to purchase the product the price was much more expensive. I complained to Customer service who were of no help and advised that they could not supply at the advertised price irrespective of their price matching policy.
Extremely Disappointed Customer (Do Not…
Extremely Disappointed Customer (Do Not Buy)
After years of seeing Amazon's relentless advertising, I finally decided to give them a try. Big mistake. I placed my first order, and I can attest to one thing: they are lightning-fast at taking your money. My card was charged immediately, and I received the usual promise that the parcel would arrive on a specific date.
Here is where the nightmare began.
I made sure to stay home the entire day to receive the package, only to check the tracking and see it suddenly marked as “DELIVERED.” This is an outright lie. I was sitting right by the door; nothing arrived. No knock, no picture, no parcel. My package was stolen, lost, or simply never left the warehouse, yet Amazon insists their job is done.
Now, trying to resolve this and get my money back is an absolute, maddening impossibility. Their customer service is a non-stop loop of useless automation. You get put through to an AI "person" who just tells you to wait longer—wait for what? The phantom delivery?
I have wasted hours trying to communicate with a human and initiating a refund, but I am completely stonewalled by the system they put in place to avoid responsibility. This isn't customer service; it's a customer defense mechanism designed to wear you down until you give up on your money.
I will NEVER buy from Amazon again. My first experience confirms everything negative I've ever heard. Avoid this
I impressed with customer service but…
I impressed with customer service but disappointed from the fake reviews of the product.
Insulting and appalling behaviour of delivery personnel
I’ve been a long time Amazon Prime customer and have made purchases on a regular basis. As I’m often away from home, I left delivery instructions stating that all items should be placed near my unit’s front door rather than outside the main gate of my townhouse complex which is a public area that passersby can easily take parcels away. My instructions have been followed for years, but over the past month, I’ve been extremely annoyed with the behaviour of those in charge with making Amazon deliveries in my area on weekday mornings. My instructions were totally ignored by the delivery person over the past month. I had a parcel of $150 items left in the public area outside my main gate for a whole weekend while I was away last month. Then on 17/10, I experienced the most ridiculous delivery ever… not only was my Amazon parcel left in the public area outside the main gate… it was dumped inside a RUBBISH BIN!!!!! And the delivery person still had the gall to take a photo of my parcel in the rubbish bin as ‘proof of delivery’ in the tracking information!!! This was an order with near $200 value and it was left in a rubbish bin!!! Really insulting and appalling behaviour by Amazon delivery, very disrespectful of a regular customer!!!!!!
Never shop at Amazon!
Purchased a Panasonic camera to have the manual in Chinese. I do not read Chinese and as I am holidaying where there is no wifi I find it very inconvenient to be offered a manual online .
When a company sells to an English speaking country it is assumed that the relevant information is in English.
I will never purchase from Amazon again !
Scammers
So, I ordered two things from amazon worth 140 dollars. The first item was delivered to the wrong address, I got an email saying my item was delivered but the picture on the email was not my house! I reached out to them through the website and they said the only option at the moment would be a refund, so i accepted and told them to make sure it does not happen with the next parcel. The next day, the same thing happened, they sent it to the same wrong house! I called them again asking how could this happen again and what I should do about this. They said they will give me a refund, and then I got an email saying I asked for "too many refunds" and warned me that they will close my account. I replied to them explaining the matter and they still closed my account and cancelled my refund on one of my items! Now I cannot go back and call them and ask them for a refund since you can only call them through logging into amazon. Never buying again this is ridiculous. Wish I looked at reviews sooner.
Amazon keeps refund
Amazon Australia processed a refund for a malfunctioning item that was credited as a gift card. this balance cannot be accessed from any other amazon store, so the 500 dollars in the form of a gift card were essentially frozen in the australian amazon store when i moved overseas not because I don't want to spend it but because they won't ship overseas. in requesting assistance to get my money off the amazon account I was essentially brushed off by the Indian representatives based in India ( because you will not and cannot deal with someone in Australia) and notified that unless I spent the money by sending items to a friend or family member in Australia Amazon retains the right to keep my money. Considering I was a prime member for almost ten years I found this completely insulting.
Don't order outdoor seating!
Ordered 4 outdoor chairs but only the cushions came! Scammed!! Returning large item is ridiculously confusing and there's no contact!
Disappointed with Amazon's Delivery Restrictions in Regional Australia
As a loyal Amazon customer and Amazon Prime member living in regional South Australia, I'm frustrated with the increasing delivery restrictions in my area. What was once limited to fragrances and hazardous materials now applies to everyday items, including clothing, household essentials, and even Amazon's own branded products.
Recently, I couldn't even purchase a few Puma T-shirt or Amazon Basics Quilt Cover due to delivery restrictions. To add insult to injury, I just checked on buying Amazon Basics branded dinnerware (plates, cutlery, etc.) and, astonishingly, those are also restricted for delivery to my address.
Living in regional South Australia doesn't mean I'm in a remote area; it's a populated region with established courier services. However, Amazon's preference for using their own drivers (Amazon Flex) over reputable Australian couriers has led to these unnecessary restrictions.
It defies logic that Amazon's own branded, non-hazardous products like dinnerware are restricted. As a paying member, I expect a seamless shopping experience. Instead, I'm constantly encountering restrictions. This raises serious questions about the value of my membership.
Amazon's decision to prioritize cost-cutting over customer convenience is disappointing.
Next Day Delivery Scam
Ordered a package through Amazon, which used CouriersPlease for next-day delivery. They did not come and claimed it was unsafe to leave the package, even though I was home all day at my perfectly safe home.
Same Day Delivery Enticement and Scam
Don't Fall for the Same Day Delivery Scam. Here is my story with an urging that people do not fall for the Same Day Delivery Enticement: I bought an item which I required on the same day so that my Microwave Oven can work. It was marketed as "same day delivery before 10pm" if total purchase was amounting to $49 or greater. And so, I bought two other items to meet the $49 requirement only to receive an email a few hours later that my ordered two of my ordered items (one of them I urgently required on the same day) was to be delayed. So, what for is their Same Day Delivery? A subtle scam to get us to buy more items than just getting one. I urge everyone no to fall for this trap as this already happened to me twice, recently. The other occasion was to give a gift for a birthday.
