Additionally, the website was a source of frustration for many, with some reporting difficulties in managing orders and receiving accurate information. Some people were dissatisfied with the products, mentioning receiving broken items, or products that did not match their descriptions or meet quality expectations. I have canceled my last 3 orders after…

I have canceled my last 3 orders after they weren’t sent after 6 weeks despite the website saying they were in stock. Shipping used to be super quick and exceed expectations now it’s never even close to what is advertised. I am only keeping my membership for kindle.

I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed but Amazons prices have in creased significantly. An item I was looking at two weeks ago has now jumped up in price by $3.00 I know it’s not much however overall I feel they have hiked prices on a lot of the stock they hold. Also next day delivery seems to have vanished. I was an avid buyer from Amazon but something has changed I’m not keen to purchase anything else in the future.

We paid for a years subscription, and now I find they remove another $10 etc a month..
Try to speak to someone is a waste of your time because they only supply online links which again goes on and on and so on.
Amazon really becoming a company with lots of complaints.

Delivery times are more and more pathetic

Delivery times are pathetic. Every single item is at least three weeks delivery. Having Prime mebership is now a waste of money as I simply order elsewhere to get procducts a reasonable period.

Amazon use your money while you wait for a refund

Cancelled an item I had ordered in error, they sent notification that cancellation was successful, I ordered the correct item then 12 hrs after first notification I get one saying cancellation failed. Item had not been shipped. I contacted customer service who basically said wait until you receive the item then click the return buttn, so I did and then the fun began quoting ridiculous amount of time to issue fefund, telling me to post it at post office no charge, on the return status it showed full refund of amount will be paid to original source once item received and processed etc. long story short they finally issued refund but less $7.00 postage not happy at all with their constant lies. It is worth noting that other well known sites issue immediate refunds and in many cases tell you to keep the item LOL

Terrible delivery

. Previously, this was a good company, but since they changed their delivery method and started using a company called Dragonfly, the items never arrive, or if they do, they arrive damaged.

Amazon bad error this…

I havereceived an email from this company that I trusted because I trusted their return etc policy except that to my memory I have never returned anything to them. This email stated they have closed my account becused of my consistently returning a large number of used, damaged or gods noit in their oriiginal condition. I have complained about a parcel missing and a faulty sunbeam can opener that does not work. I have cancelled an order plaved for an expensive phone I had just ordered then realised it was from the same cmpany who had scammed me for the same item. I would never use something then return it and must protest vehemently their accusatuins and high handed and the disgraceful email I received from them for something I did nor do and I cannot even get a list of my "crimes". But I will say that I live in a large block of units, their delivery drivers drop the goods outside the door, take a photo of the item and then, without knocking take off. Even if they reopened my account, which they very highhandedly closed without giving me a chance to have any say or ask for the actual goods I am axused of returning. I have no recourse, they have made that clear and I am furious. And I get nothing for the canopener that does not work and I paid for (but did not return!)

Amazon.com.au - Don't buy items without a specific estimated delivery date

Amazon.com.au: BEWARE: No updates on shipping; unable to cancel order; AMAZON IS NO HELP; STUCK

Very dissatisfied with the order process. By far my WORST experience with Amazon, which has been very positive until now.

Ordered item on 19 May and contacted Amazon support a few days later because there was no update on shipping. Was told that the item is scheduled to be delivered on 2 July! This would not be in time for my intention (gift), so I decided to cancel the order.

Submitted cancellation online, no response or update. Contacted Amazon support again to cancel and initially was told that they had requested a cancellation and escalated my request. Again no response or update. Contacted Amazon support again after a few days to check on the cancel status, was told that it was too late to cancel!

As I am writing this, it's 28 May and I still haven't heard any updates on shipping yet, nor can I cancel the order, so I'm stuck without progressing further than my position when I made the order on 19 May.

This is BY FAR the WORST experience on Amazon so far. Prime membership does not help one bit.

Just to note, the seller is listed as "The Danny's" but the shipping is handled by Amazon, so I can't understand why it was so hard to cancel my order when I had requested it multiple times soon after my purchase.

Update 30 May 2025 - I've been trying again the last few days to cancel the order but again to no avail. The reason given is that the order is being prepared for shipment and it's too late to cancel. This is the same excuse I have been given since I first checked on the order a few days after 19 May. On the Amazon website at this very moment where I'm viewing it, there are similar items with estimated delivery in mid-June. Until now - 10 days after order, I still have not been given an estimated delivery date. Additionally, I tried to post a similar review on Amazon.com.au to warn potential buyers of the issue I'm facing, but the review was rejected by Amazon.com.au, which I'm assuming happened because they are trying to cover their shortcomings.

Latest Update - Upon contacting support as to when my order will be shipped, I was advised that they don't know and that my order will be shipped BEFORE the delivery date. Well, I certainly hope this is the case LOL.

TIP to Amazon.com.au buyers - Do not order any item that does not have an specific estimated shipping date. When I purchased this item it mentioned "Free delivery for Prime members". Lesson learnt. Ordered 19 May, still not shipped yet and Amazon themselves are not able to give an estimated shipping date.

Avoid Amazon at all costs!

I placed an order for two books on 10 April from Amazon.com.au, and one has yet to ship, despite the website dating there are 5 copies available. And I can get no info on when it will be shipped. I am told I can’t cancel the order because it was part of a promotion - I think there was a discount for ordering over a certain amount. The customer service phone no in Australia is disconnected, and when I try to enter ‘chat’ it just send sends me back to the order - it’s a loop designed to completely frustrate the customer

Amazon Australia Selling Unsafe Products – Refused to Act Even When Warned

I purchased a water filter (iSpring RCC7AK) from Amazon Australia, expecting a safe and locally compliant product. To my shock, it leaked upon installation by a licensed plumber and was later found to be non-compliant with Australian plumbing standards (lacking mandatory WaterMark certification).

I gave Amazon the opportunity to do the right thing: I asked them to investigate the issue, remove the product and seller from the Australian platform, and prevent further harm to consumers. They outright refused—offering only a basic refund, and no support for installation, uninstallation, or property damage caused by the leak.

What’s more disturbing is their claim that the item was from Amazon UK, which they used to deny responsibility. But I bought it while shopping on Amazon.com.au. Why did a non-compliant UK product show up in my local Australian search? This clearly shows Amazon failed to conduct proper due diligence on sellers and put profits before consumer safety.

Their handling was biased, dismissive, and lacked any proper investigation into the product or the seller. This is not just about bad service—it’s about systemic negligence and risk to public safety.

Amazon must be held accountable for enabling the sale of unsafe products in Australia.

Tariffs hurt deeply !!

As always Amazon backs up its products But this is not what I am writing about
I think that putting before and after prices of products caused by the Tariffs are what we need!!
All companies should do the same and really let the American people understand how destructive tariffs can be . Targeted tariffs of abuse are in order but a attack the board are injurious to the common man To the very rich it doesn’t equal a mosquito bite

Failed to ship goods and resolve issues

Failed to ship goods even though in stock for 3 weeks already. Outsourced customer service is of little to no assistance, and has no tools to assist or compensate. And try and make a formal complaint or find an email address to write to is near impossible.
