Best online shopping experience
This is what Australia needs. A one-stop shop and an alternative to Auspost, I love Amazon!
I bought a smart watch from…Amazon com.au
I bought a smart watch from Amazon.com.au it arrived safely in good condition. Although I did not realize it had to come from Germany. Therefore it took about a week longer than first expected
Once posted it arrived 1 day earlier than expected.
Once opened I charged watch up and read the supplied small booklet in several languages and set it up. I can now receive and make calls check my heart beat and many others features showcased in this great watch. Very happy with my purchase and would buy from Amazon.com.again thanks
Money grabbing company with useless customer service
Amazon account got hacked and there was 2 fraud transactions. Someone bought gift cards with it and contacted them numerous times did nothing said they would investigate and will refund but investigate my foot!!! Every call person checks on status, no report was put through and no one opened a case. Call Center in bloody India wasn’t helpful either they just connect you around with nothing done. Absolutely useless company!!!
Cancelled order
Ordered an item on Amazon which came with free shipping. Order was confirmed and payment went through. 2 hours later the seller cancelled the order with no explenations.
When I asked them the reason why it was because they changed couriers and had to pay an additional AUD$25, so would not fulfill the order.
Contacted Amazon and they stated that they would look into it and if I wanted the item to order it again via a different seller as the original order was cancelled.
There was no real customer service from Amazon, except to say that they would put AUD$10 into my Amazon account.
At this stage the item is still being advertised as free shipping.
Sudden cancellation of orders after 11 days of waiting.
On November 3rd I made two orders (406-6205744-7415524 for 545.8 euros, 406-7853729-7648361 for 272.9 euros, total for 818.7 euros, both seller and delivery person are Amazon itself), when ordering I was informed that I would receive the goods today, 11/14/2024.
I was ready to wait these 11 days, as the price of the goods suited me.
Today is 11/14/2024 and I was expecting to receive the long-awaited goods, but suddenly instead today I received emails that both orders were unilaterally canceled by Amazon today due to the lack of goods.
As a result, I wasted a lot of time, while I could not spend 818.7 euros buying goods elsewhere, as this money was stuck in Amazon.
Big disappointment.
Waste of time, no support.
Wow, what a sh*tshow, I placed an order which disappeared, but no charge went on my card so after trying to get Amazon to confirm that order would no longer go through reordered the item. A $0 charge from amazon appeared on my statement for a few hours and disappeared again, but the order confirmation came through. After days I contacted the seller and that said that the payment had not been processed. So I contacted Amazon support again and one said that I just had to wait for the payment processing team to email me, and later with a different support person they said I could not speak with the payment processing team as there was none and it is all automated so I could do nothing but wait. After a wasted week of numerous attempts to figure out if it would ever be processed I just gave up and cancelled the order. Will never try and shop on Amazon for anything again.
Without Prejudice - amazon Australia failures
Without Prejudice: Twice called 1800 571 894 to Amazon in Australia to place a purchase order for collection in person because this site previously electronically stated: This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location. Both times operators were either incompetent or untrained because my call was disconnected after several minutes wait. The only answering of the call system was working, but totally hopeless on the rest: AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 was not followed.
Liars and Thieves
Ordered over $900 worth of goods four months ago, that was undeliverable according to Amazon. After many online chats, emails and useless phone calls, I am still waiting for my refund. Customer service will tell you they can't hear you over the phone and hang up or that they are having technical difficulties and will promise a call back . Online chat make promises of fixing things and then you're ignored.
Inflated Price Change!
I placed a large order (I had to do 3 orders) for work Christmas gifts. I used the work card, but because of previous dodgy transactions, my bank didn't honour the purchases. Instead of contacting me, Amazon just cancelled the order. Amazon advised me to redo the orders but the price was inflated and they wouldn't do it at the original purchase price. To reorder the same items was going to cost me over $300 more. I would rather purchase from another supplier and pay more than go back to Amazon. No wonder I don't buy from them normally.
They are quick to take your money but…
They are quick to take your money but if you need to return anything or get a refund, it's an absolute nightmare.
Feeling very confident when purchasing from Amazon.au
Amazon has always been great to purchase from. Giving the fastest and best service ever, they usually have the best prices and best quality items. I have yet to complain about any of my purchases, only once I made a double purchase of the same item, and Amazon immediately rectified it for me. Thank you, Amazon
Also, I am a member of Amazon Prime very affordable- love all the perks I get by being a member
Buyer Beware: How a Seller’s False Damage Claim Denied My iPhone Refund"
I recently experienced a very upsetting incident. On October 16th, I wanted to buy a new iPhone for my daughter, but the price was too high, so I opted to purchase a renewed iphone 14 from a third-party seller on Amazon called Perfect Preowned. Previously, even though I’d purchased used phones through Amazon, those in "Excellent Condition" were of decent quality, almost like new. Finally, on October 18th, the phone arrived, and as I unboxed it, I noticed some issues. When held up to the light, scratches were visible on the front, and the front speaker was full of dust and dirty things. I immediately messaged the seller, and they asked me to send photos. After sending the photos, they confirmed the return process.
Even though it was past 6 pm and the next day was a Saturday, I found an open post office and returned the product. A few days later, the seller informed me they’d received the return but said there was damage caused by impact. They sent one low-resolution photo, and to my surprise, it showed the speaker area I had originally pointed out due to dirt. I explained that there was no such damage when I returned the item, but the next day, the seller replied that the damage was severe enough to affect the motherboard and therefore they couldn’t offer a full refund.
Shocked and frustrated, I filed an Amazon A-to-Z Claim and submitted all the evidence I had. I requested the seller provide photos or any materials showing the product's condition when they first received it. However, the only image they provided was the blurry one, claiming they later had it inspected by a third-party inspection company. They then sent me photos and a report from this third-party inspection.
Today, I realized what could have happened: the seller likely damaged the product after receiving it and then used a report from their regular inspection partner to support their case. This way, they could easily keep half of the $899 refund.
Think about it! If I had damaged the phone and returned it without saying anything, wouldn't the seller have immediately noticed the issue? Why would I do such a stupid thing and return a clearly damaged product? I believe no one does it.
Moreover, if I had damaged it, wouldn’t it have made sense for me to say something like the seller did—claiming it arrived with the damage?
I want to share this advice with everyone: when purchasing high-value items like cell phones on Amazon and facing issues, make sure to record every step of the packaging and return process, preferably at the post office, to safely record through video and document the return.
I repeatedly requested the seller to provide various photos of the product from different angles at the time of unboxing. Their lack of such evidence implies that they could do anything to the product before submitting it to a third-party inspection.
I plan to seek assistance from the ACCC and other consumer rights organizations and spread my story widely to prevent such unfair experiences from happening to others.
Mostly works great, but customer service difficult to work it when things go wrong
95% of the time, I am able to buy well-priced products on Amazon, and get them delivered for free with an Amazon Prime subscription in one day.
But when things go wrong for the remaining 5% of orders, I find customer service to be very difficult to work with. Each support staff has VERY different levels of knowledge and interpretations of what’s going on. I often need to ring up several times before I get someone who actually understands the issue.
Pathetic customer service
Returned a parcel on 9th October.....refund was supposed to be initiated by 14 October but even after 17 days, refund not initiated. And the app shows status of "refund not processed" . Pathetic customer service by Amazon. No details provided.
Never order anything on this website or…
Never order anything on this website or fb
On the tracking number it's looks like the item on the move but it never arrived. It's a scam . Don't waste your money.🙄
In the last 21 deliveries from Amazon…
In the last 21 deliveries from Amazon Shipping Australia only one driver read the delivery instructions. Before that Dragonfly Shipping at least read them half the time. Each time I complain they won't let me talk to a manager and promise that it'll never happen again. I used to like shopping with Amazon but now I'm looking for alternatives.
Showed a delivery date within two weeks…
Showed a delivery date within two weeks or so when ordering, but now being a month past still I’m waiting without even a delivery date. Help is useless and only option there is go for a refund. After a month being fooled by Amazon and now only option is to ask for a refund and cancel the item and then wait for another provider. I’ll never come to Amazon ever again
Same day shipping is a lie
Same day shipping is a lie! Blows out to 5 days and a different excuse is given by each service person.
Terrible
It’s time for all of us who are fed up…
It’s time for all of us who are fed up with couriers who cannot be bothered to deliver and think that 4 days later is perfectly fine with the Customer even though you get emails assuring you your order has been dispatched, and delivered when none are true.
Make a complaint to the ACCC as I will today.
