They don't even deserve one star! Out of 6 orders for groceries, 3 of them had cancelled items and one had broken eggs. What makes it even worse is they tell you they'll deliver later, but never do.... See more

Extremely Disappointed
Hello. I am extremely disappointed in Amazon Fresh. I have been a grateful and avid buyer ,every week. There have been many delivery changes. For one, you force your members to buy at least $150 worth of groceries when it was $35 to get free shipping, which was competitive and compelling. This has thrown my budget, and my family for a loop. The other issue is your deliveries are arriving from private cars. How are frozen items to be delivered without being thawed in the summer months? We are just coming upon the summer months? Some of your delivery persons are not following the customers delivery requests. For one, ringing the bell to alert the customer thier order is out there. Or at least a call, not just rely on a text or an email. Especially in the summer months. Last year was a disaster in getting frozen items, frozen. It's not just about getting refunded. Accountability, and dependability is what matters. Now if I just need a few items I have to tack on delivery fees that could exceed $10. It definetly compromises the tips of these hard workers using thier own private cars. Then charges for bags I understand, but paying for a bag with only 1 item in it, is absurd, and it always happens. Nothing has been addressed. Please, review these changes, until then Amazon Fresh orders are on hold. Sorry for me. I depended on you guys.
Regrettably,
Edgardo Rivera
Awful
Wow, this service really sucks. They cancel / reschedule your delivery … at the time of delivery. This was my first and last purchase with them.
From Almost-Perfect to the Absolute Worst
It seems that Amazon can launch manned spacecraft while dominating the world in Online Services, but they can't master basic E-Commerce technology on the grocery site they've had over 15 years to mold.
Fresh used to be a close-to-perfect choice for me. When the stuff arrived, sure the Ice Cream was a little melted and they rarely had their store brand OJ when I needed it, but eventually I got everything for a fair price and pretty quickly. Then, one day, the minimum order required for free delivery rocketed from $35 to $150. An increase of over 425%.
I'm a proud single parent of one. At least thousands of others out there like me. Sorry, Amazon, if my family's too small for you. After a month of traveling, I came home and ordered a bunch of lesser-needed stuff to eek up a $150 order, but I can't do that every few weeks, especially if you don't stock enough basic items like OJ, milk, yogurt, coffee, bread, cereal, etc. etc.
Even when the delivery minimum was $35, its was tricky. Fresh was always out-of-stock even with their own brand! Now that I'm expected to order about 5 times more, their shelves are even emptier. It might be different if they actually provided enough items so to fill my cart, but they don't.
I've been trying to reach the $150 minimum for 3 weeks, but by the time I add another 3 items, 4 others are now OOS and I need to invent more needs. It's like rock climbing with new dress shoes.
When something's out of stock, it just doesn't exist... You can't put it on a "Wish List" like regular Amazon because, if it's out-of-stock, it won't come up in a search. You'll only see it if you look at your previous order and click on that (now in gray). This means they don't even have a feature that notifies you when something's available.
Talk all you want about fresh produce (I tried, but they got it wrong every time) or Happy Belly (Amazon brand) affordability... None of it's any good if you don't have it when I need it. It's Supermarket 101.
Speaking of which, what sense does it make, for example to have the HB "Oreo" type cookies available on Fresh, but to make the chocolate chip ones available only on regular Amazon? Same with other HB items... One variety's available on Fresh, the other OOS or only available on regular Amazon. Forget about the Ice Cream or other perishables. Why have your own brand if you can't stock it?
Another problem we still have: Amazon's Nicauraguan coffee...Amazing coffee I had a monthly subscription for, suddenly gone for months in bean form on regular Amazon, available in ground form only on Fresh. I see the same problem happening with their other items like their own coffee... Not available at all, available only in ground, unavailable on Fresh, unavailable on both platforms, or only available on Fresh so you need a $150 total (impossible so far for me) to avoid delivery fees on your Amazon brand cookies, coffee or Ice Cream even if you pay for Prime... If this was a street business, you'd have shut down long ago.
So... Still can't gather my $150 order. Hundreds of grocery products OOS on Fresh that are in-stock on regular, hundreds OOS on both, etc. This was all bad enough, but now you increase the minimum order *FIVE-fold* when you don't have enough to sell in the first place?? You don't even give consideration to paying Prime customers?
I'm a huge Amazon fan, guys, but you suck at groceries. What's worse, is that you could be so much better, but instead of improving you increased the fee, not just $5 or $10 with improved or maintained service... **$150** for infinitely lousier service.
Gloria (Gloria), I think they got your number (Gloria)
One word - Gloria. Well, I guess that is a name, not a word. From the moment we walked into the Arlington VA store, Gloria started to talk to us. Gloria proceeded to try to tell me what we were doing was incorrect to get through the turnstile. I told Gloria, thank you, we got this, we've been here several times before -- nope, she proceeds to talk over me. I gnored her and we get our cart and away we go. We had a 25% off coupon and there were several items on sale that we were planning to get. Stock is somewhat limited but my son enjoys it and I get him to pick out food he likes -- not always easy - so we typically have a successful trip. We get to the front and I see beer and wine -- I tell my son who is 15 to wait by the doorway and I walk in -- Gloria starts yelling, hey, hey, we have rules here. Hey, we have rules here. I walk back out and she repeats, yelling at this point, WE HAVE RULES. At this point, it is funny so I respond, I hear you Gloria - LOUD and clear -- I take out my ID and she doesn't even look at it. I said, Hey Gloria, what is my date of birth? She said rules are rules. I said, yes they are. At this point, I have no clue what Gloria is saying but she is still talking. We go to check out where you wave your magic palm to get out but first we have to scan the coupon and lord help, who comes running over -- Gloria, telling us you have to scan the code first - thank you Gloria, we know and did that. She proceeds to talk over me until I have to say - please leave us alone. I've been here many times. She then turns to my son to try to boss him around a bit just - my son and I are looking at each other - What the fart? So I have no idea what Gloria does but she goes over and does something to the scanner that means she has to ring us out! Oh lord Jesus, NO! We now have to take EVERYTHING OUT OF OUR BAGS and rescan it. Yet again Gloria goes into a litany of nonsense that I refuse to engage her in - I am talking to my son and she keeps interrupting us trying to tell me that since I've never been there before, this is how it has to be -- I've been there at least 4-5 times and my son goes there too. I am laughing now and she even goes as far as to try to tell me how to put my credit card into the machine. I applaud Gloria because she takes her job very seriously but if I ever see her there again -- I am not stepping inside that store and I would like to add I saw her do a similar thing to a gentleman when we first arrived. Gloria needs chill pill. She is going to do what she did to me today to someone that won't think it is funny like we did and it may not turn out well.
over charged
I was over charged and I reached out to customer service. I brought an cream worth 2 pounds and was charged 6. Customer service was not helpful at all and did not give me a refund.
Use Instacart Instead
I will never order through Amazon Fresh again. They packed items at 2:30 pm but didn’t deliver till 6:00 pm. That would’ve been fine if the order was nonperishables. This was fresh and frozen food that was packed only in paper bags and sat for hours. It was a significant order too. Half the items ordered were missing while the other half had to be thrown out because Amazon won’t do anything to refund. Never again. I will go back to Instacart.
Amazon censors reviews and will ban you if you post health risk reviews.
Watch out for any fresh produce heavily discounted. They had fresh figs at 50 cents a pint. I bought a bunch. They were completely unripe. The acid in them burned my mouth. If a child had eaten them they could have been burned their mouth and needed to be taken to the emergency room. When I posted the review on Amazon, I was banned from making reviews!!!
Your needs are inconsequential to AmazonFresh
In the age of Ring camera doorbells, delivery services should not pretend that they attempted delivery when they didn't. Since 79% of Trustpilot reviewers give AmazonFresh one star, I should not be surprised by how much this service stinks.
Today, Amazon Fresh sent me a "delivery delayed: Your AmazonFresh order is running late, but still on the way" text at 5:12 after the 3:00-5:00 window expired. Then moments later, I got the "No one was available to receive your AmazonFresh order. We may contact you to attempt re-delivery". I checked the security cameras and saw that they never came.
Takes no responsibility for misdelivered items
Delivers items that were not ordered and will not pick them up. I have 2 cases of bottled water that I have no use for and no way of getting rid of.
Amazon Fixes My Ethical Hypocrisy
What went wrong this time is Amazon decided to enact a 400% increase in the amount of money I have to spend to get free grocery delivery. They’re pulling that lovely little con similar to the ones where a company doesn’t raise prices, it simply cuts the quantity of what one gets for the money. Amazon’s decision to force customers to spend $150 at Fresh for a benefit we used to get for spending $35 means they have effectively taken away a Prime benefit yet pretending the benefit remains. I’m not pretending anything. I’m canceling Amazon’s benefit of taken my cash. I’ve said for some time that I’ve bartered my ethics for the sake of convenience. Thank you Amazon for making it easy to step out of my own hypocrisy. It’s nice having ethics again!
Awful service
So I've been using fresh several times a month since the pandemic began. I spend on average 300-400 per month. However, with clear delivery instructions, these drivers can't be fussed to actually read said instructions. They have continually left my order outside of the building. I call every time, and I'm told the same thing every time. That they will report this, blase blah...and next time it will be better. I feel like I'm being gaslit by a mean ex boyfriend. Never again. Don't do it!
DECEIVEFUL ADVERTIMENT
I've been am amazon prime customer for over 2 decades and always shop at Amazon Fresh as well as Whole Foods. This week I am extremely ticked off with a sale item not being available. Amazon is running a sale for lobster tail for $3.99 and I went in on Wednesday (first day of sale in the evening) and it was sold out. My friend went in on Friday around 3pm and still no lobster available and was told to return on Saturday for it. Today being Saturday, I went in with my husband at 11am and still no lobster available. I called Amazon Fresh customer services and I was told to return in 2 weeks to get it at regular price. I found it so wrong to advertise something when you can't even fulfill it on the first day of sale. THIS IS DECEIVEFUL BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!! Shop elsewhere and stay happy. AMAZON SUCKS and YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICES IS NOT DESERVING EVEN A ONE STAR REVIEW IF GIVEN A CHOICE!
Unhelpful and rude customer service
This is the third time my order was cancelled without my consent. They keep on using the same excuse: “technical problems”. Customer service didn’t even attempt to offer a new delivery schedule. I guess this is how “Amazon fresh” treats their prime members. I don’t recommend “amazon fresh” to anyone.
Fresh out of luck for an actual delivery
I scheduled for a delivery from 5pm -7pm time window. Received NO text notifications of status changes, regarding my order and had to continue to check the website.
The order stayed in “packed and ready” status until 7:15pm. By this time, I had already called customer service TWICE to complain, and was speaking to a manager. I’ve had this issue once before, where I had a 9pm-11pm window, and my items weren’t delivered until 12:30am!! I purposely ordered as early as I could to avoid that situation.
Manager informed me to give it 2hrs past the delivery window (now making it a 4hrs delivery time???? Smh), then to cancel if no delivery.
Shortly after hanging up the phone, the status changed to the delivery being in progress. I called customer service, again, as I had to look at the status via website and the messages weren’t being sent to my phone. I asked the rep how many stops the person had, and I was told 4, and that he should get to me by 9pm.
I was still angry, as it had ruined my family’s dinner plans for this evening, because I had planned to cook what I ordered. So, I checked again after 30mins…there were 6….SIX STOPS to make before mine, a far cry from what I was quoted, plus I was angry that I was going to be the last stop.
Finally, I see there is 1 one stop left to go, before mine. It’s now 930pm. I look and I FINALLY received a text message to say that my order was CANCELED, and undeliverable!! I am beyond livid!!
Amazon couldn’t care less about their services or guarantees, and make up rules on the fly to cover up for poor customer service. I asked the manager where the info was listed, on the website, about giving an additional 2hours past the delivery window, and she said it wasn’t provided anywhere. I would have to call customer service for that information. Yeah right!
I called back, AGAIN, and the “best” they could do was offer me some time tomorrow later afternoon for a delivery that I needed tonight.
Sorry and Inconsiderate bunch! Never again!
If you want , Mental Stress Please order On Amazon Fresh

The worst!!!
The worst!!!! Their taking app never works. Half the items are missing or damaged and when you file a refund they mess that up too. I requested refund back in my credit card instead they gave me a gift card on my account that I could use bc they never gave me access code!!!!!!!! Now on the phone for an hour with their horrible customer service trying to resolve. Last time I ever get anything from Amazon.
Products thrown on the ground outside…
Products thrown on the ground outside in the rain. Multiple products damaged and unusable because packaging was busted open due to poor care of items
TERRIBLE!
I have low mobility and therefore shop for groceries online to be delivered to my doorstep. It is also noted on my Amazon Fresh profile that I am unable to walk and carry items. This is the second time in a month that the delivery person parks far away from the building and then calls my mobile informing me that he’ll be unable to deliver to my door and that I should come outside to collect the items from his car. He blatantly refused to bring the items to the flat, knowing that I have mobility issues, and now the order says delivered and I have no groceries. Do not use this service, it is terrible and they have no concern for people with disabilities.
Delivers rotted fruits and vegetables…
Delivers rotted fruits and vegetables that needs to be thrpwn out in the garbage. I read that some of these delivery people buy and store produce and groceries in their own place, shops for the order of customers and deliver their old produce.
Disgusting rotting produce.
Manassas Amazon Fresh Store: Organic cauliflower
Manassas Amazon Fresh store: Produce that went on sale yesterday is already out of stock today. This happened on earlier visit to the store. Signs for items that are 20% off for Prime members are very small print, cannot see brand name, so caused problem at checkout. Most associates are not familiar with Amazon credit card rewards.
