The saga continues!
The saga continues but gets weirder. After a 4 month wait for my Ultimate Curve, my requests for a refund were ignored and opened a dispute with Klarna. They ignored Klarna too, and two deadlines to respond. Finally last week I threatened legal action to retrieve my money. I received an email on Thursday to say that my bike woukd arrive in 2 to 5 days and a tracking link. I was given a number that doesn't work to contact DSV about delivery. Today I'm told by Klarna that they have found in my favour and that I am being refunded but it's not the full amount I paid. I am beyond stressed, angry and upset with all of this, and have no idea what is going on. I just want the whole amount that paid back, as they failed to deliver my bike in September when it was promised. It's not a return it's an unfulfilled order and they owe me the full amount.
Would only buy their bikes
The cargo bike is really great and obviously made with passion and care. I made some recommendations for improvements and they were well received and any problems dealt with swiftly and politely. I recommend this company to everyone and they’re really reasonable.

I bought an electric deluxe bike online and I found it value for money. It was comparable in terms of pricing to what used bikes are being sold here. The bike is quite sturdy and functional as per description. The beach can seat two children and some bags comfortable. The delivery tracking could be improved as the delivery partner did not provide the right ETA until quite late. Overall, quite happy with the purchase

Dangerous bike and poor customer service.
I have had my bike for 2 yrs now.
I have a list of problems with this bike
It took my bike mechanic a whole day to assemble and he said it was the hardest build he’s ever had to do.
Then the hand break button didn’t work, we emailed the company, they suggested hitting it with a hammer!!! They reluctantly agreed to send us a replacement part (we did try hitting it with a hammer to no avail)
Then about a year in, I experienced a very dangerous fault, I was cycling up the road with my daughter in the front and the bike sped up without me peddling, and I couldn’t stop it, i had to jump off and switch the power off at the back as it was going along, thank god there wasn’t a car in front of me, it could have been so much worse.
When i contacted amcargo about this they couldn’t have been less interested. I bought it from an English company, and they had gone out of business so II couldn’t get the warranty information from them, but even realising this wasn’t straightforward, I would at least expected them to ask me more questions about this fault as it could have led to very serious consequences, it lacked the very definition of ‘fail safe’ they didn’t seem interested in how their bikes had gone so wrong.
I had to order and pay for a new part and my mechanic had to alter a lot of things to make sure that couldn’t happen again, and now since the bike has been altered, it is working well, although lacks full power.
For balance I enjoy riding it now, which is why i gave it 2 stars, but `I couldn’t in good conscience recommend this company. In fact, I don't, when so many people ask me about my bike because it “looks ‘ great, I say- don't buy this brand. They are dodgy.

Deal with this company at your peril, look at the other reviews
I have owned the Cargo bike for a year and needed to purchase a new control box which I ordered, I realised that I had ordered the wrong part and contacted them the next day, sent a picture of the bike, controller and date of purchase. Had a couple of emails from them and 3 days later they sent the item. When received, it was found to not be the agreed correct item as discussed, but the original item thatI had initially . I notified them and received a very rude email saying this:
"If you have ordered the wrong controller I would suggest that you order the right one.
Unfortunately we do not accept the return of electronic parts".
They are not responding to my emails. I have now checked other Truspilot comments and now no that this rude unhelpful and lack of any customer service is not just personal to me! £100.00 wasted on an item that has a value of £30.00

They mislead clients about their warranty and overcharge for parts
Thanks for your response here. Good to hear that you are all doing OK. I was starting to get worried after the long silence since my last email on the 9th of January 2025.
------------------------------------------------------------
Original message:
I am having some issues with the electronic on my cargo bike (ultimate curve). My bike is just 1 and a half year old and the pedal assist doesn't work anymore.
Their website states two years warranty but they refuse. Instead... I can send a complaint... What a joke! Wording on their site: "At Amcargobiks we have several guarantees that cover you better than our standard 24 month warranty.";
Also, all of their spare parts are way over priced. 100 pounds for a pedal assist sensor and a magnet... This should be max 15 pounds. I asked for the references to buy it somewhere else and they didn't respond. Same goes for the controller. They just buy cheap parts from Asia and sells them for loads of money.
I saw loads of comments on the points bikes arrive 80% assembled. It is correct. They are 80% assembled if you count the fact that spokes and nipples are assembled on the 3 wheels. It took me around 10 hours of work with some pretty rough guide. I was super proud of me for being able to build it and passing the services without issues.
In short, spend more money and buy a bike in a shop so that if something goes wrong, you can actually talk to someone who is going to be able to help you and not just overcharge you for parts. How are 5 spokes worth 17.95 pounds? If you take the time to respond, please explain.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
I have spent a lot of money on their dog cargo bike.
Supposedly it's shipped and sold as 80% assembled. It is not (check other reviews). It took 2 people over 10 hours to assemble. There is a myriad of unlabelled bolts and nuts, all of different sizes mixed together in unlabelled bags. You also need tools they do not provide. Very poor instructions with wrong photos and captions. It was a nightmare assembling the bike.
The cherry on top was that you are supposed to drill the metal frame and the door yourself to attach the door hinges hoping not to mess things up. Impossible. This is crazy! How can they not even supply a pre-drilled frame and door for the hinges?
After 10 hours of building the bicycle, time for a test ride but the battery supplied was faulty. The bicycle was turning on for just about a minute before shutting down. I then contacted customer service and things went downhill from there. They asked for videos to prove this. I did. They asked me to disassemble the part where all electrical cables go to check all connections. I did. (I wasted a further 2 hours testing this). Nothing worked so I asked to send a new battery. They then stopped replying to my emails for weeks. I then sent another email asking to refund me and collect the piece of junk I had purchased. They never replied to me.
This is when I then contacted my bank and opened a case. The case was concluded in my favour after 45 days and the bank refunded me the money. I then got rid of the useless bike.
amcargobikes have now started calling me and emailing me non stop. They want me t pay for a new invoice or they want to collect the bike.
I told them to take it with the bank and to stop contacting me.
They keep leaving me voicemails and they said they have reported me to the London police for fraud!
WHAT????
I can't believe it but I now need to file a complaint to the police myself. This is ridiculous!
Stay away from them!

Great service
Very good service, from the test drive we made, to the pick up of the bike. They call a few weeks later to make sure everything is ok and if there is nothing wrong.
Plus, the electric bike works perfectly well with a realistic price on the market!
5/5 totally reccomend

Bike fun with the family
Good controlabiliy, and endurable tires. (tried in gravel terrain)
The motor is sufficient in surface but not in inclines.
Breaks are excellent. You can stop safely and quickly anywhere. (even in heavy slopes)
Distance is more close to 25km with new, full battery than 60km.(even if you spare the cells from sudden and excessive power consumption (ex:starts with zero human effort)
All in all the "ultimate curve" is a good price value cargo bike. Good for shopping, good for having fun with the family.

Quick polite and efficient, good products
Very quick polite responses to all queries. Great products delivered quickly - accidentally received the wrong cover so sent the correct one out as soon as I contacted them and said I could keep the extra. Much appreciated!

Amazing bike for small purchase
Purchased the bike via the homepage and received it the week after. Any questions I had regarding the bike, was handled quick. I ordered it fully assembled and there was only a few adjustments, then we as a family was ready to go.

Worst purchase ever!
Worst purchase ever!
The cargo bike arrived in many pieces - mainly unassembled. I even had to drill holes in the box to mount the door hinges and fastners, with poor instructions.
The assembly manual was really very bad indeed. Lacking in detail with poor quality pictures. Some of the information was actually wrong, like the number of bolts required etc. All the nuts, bolts & washers (and there were many - about 100 of each) were all mixed up in one bag, so you had to guess which ones went where.
After sales support was perfunctory and basically useless.
When I requested a refund I was ignored!
I haven't used it yet because I'm still trying to assemble it! I'll probably end up scrapping it. A massive waste of thousands of pounds!
+ Update. Just finished assembling it: what a piece of junk! Neither brakes work. One broke whilst assembling leaking brake fluid, unrepairable. The other is completely seized up and will not budge.
Having to drill holes in metal and wood for hinges ended up splitting the very poor quality ply board box.
More holes drilled in ply board for the latches for closing the door, they are utter rubbish, barely function with loads of sharp metal edges too dangerous for dogs feet. Sharp bolt ends on hinges hazardous for dogs feet.
Now I have to scrap this brand new £2,300 'bike' as it's completely unusable with no brakes!
DO NOT BUY THIS RUBBISH!

DANGEROUS piece of junk
Don’t go there,
Since day one, things have gone wrong with my bike. Puncture on day one, this was because of the awful job they had done with putting the tube into the tire. There were also shards of metal. The lights were cheaply made and fell to pieces. I was told that they won’t replace them so I did that myself. Everything is poorly made and I had to mess around with the breaks on several occasions. & now the final straw is the battery that is dripping with water and thick rust. I was I told that they can’t help me, buy a new one! I have used the bike for school runs in mildly rainy weather and I have NEVER left the battery outside and covered the bike. The water must have been accumulating since day one which professionals have told me that it shouldn’t be happening. I still don’t understand why it has happened and wish I did so i can decide whether it’s worth buying a new battery. I called customer services in the UK & Denmark and they hung up on my face. It’s a health hazard & I’m mortified with the bike and the service.

STAY AWAY, NOT WORTH THE EXPERIENCE!!!
STAY AWAY, NOT WORTH THE EXPERIENCE!!!
Reply to AM comment: No new battery offered (only fix of current one which had no issue per AM statement and only under condition of removing this review - this a offer came up after 3 months!
For the warranty claim I had to cover shipping there and back, the response rate was awful. They have returned the items after 6 months with rejected warranty claim after I had to involve the EU agency to mediate the communication (to even respond and stop blackmailing)!!!!
Part of the warranty claim was the battery and the display. Battery was not able to be fully charged (voltage not capacity), after six months with the company is not working at all!!!
The sealed display contained water - I have provided video and photo about the water inside upfront (wasn't apparently sealed at all). Claim rejected based on the damaged display which arrived with few scratches after transport company damaged the package. They shouldn't accept the package at first place as it was insured!!!
