This company and owner are great! I know you see all the bad reviews and they might scare you as they did me when I saw them AFTER I ordered. Well let me say the owner called me and we had a long discussion about life and what he has been through during those reviews . Folks he's human and family came before business like I would have done . My product arrived as he said it would and is better than I thought it would be . I can't say enough about this. Order with confidence you will get more than you expect. If you want a personal review then ask them for my number and I will speak to anyone on this . Again this is custom work and beautiful

Ordered on 3/7. It not only hasn't been shipped yet, but no response via email, text or phone calls. DO NOT ORDER from them

Update to my update. 4-9-23 looks terrible for how much I spent and how long it took. Top is crooked, they deburred nothing on it, and the soldering looks like a complete amateur did it. Nothing close to real craftsmanship. Look elsewhere if you want a nice looking still in a timely manner.
Update 4-7-23 just received the product. Haven't used it yet but it finally showed up.
Company is either poorly ran or a huge scam. Ordered a still over a year ago. After multiple attempts to contact them about what it's status is or a refund they gave excuses and told me it'll be sent soon. Still hasn't arrived and now I'm getting no response about the status or being refunded. Save yourself time and money and avoid this place. Always sad when you run into American companies like this. If I ever get the still I'll update this.

Very well made copper still with no dents upon arrival. worth the wait

Ordered an EZ build Kit on 3/13/2022 just before I came home from an Iraq deployment. After a crazy amount of patience and being mislead by “The Distillery Network Inc.”/ “American Copper Works” / Jonathan Zajac / “Red” for nearly a year, I still haven’t received a refund or my product. Check out their ratings at Better Business Bureau.

After a minor miscommunication I was able to get ahold of the owner Jon, by phone admittedly he held his temper more than I was able to, he also corrected my issue immediately and delivered a high quality product for a great price and I am sure it will last for years to come

Waited eight months for my ten gallon eze-cap. It finally showed up with a big dent in the cone, due to improper packaging, and an unsoldered outlet pipe on the worm. I had to rap 14 gauge wire around the pipe to fill in the gap before I could solder it. During the cleaning run I discovered two large holes under the cone and the rear seam had solder laying on it but it wasn't sealed. Had to use another 8 inches of 14 gauge wire to fill the holes and gaps enough to accept solder. Had major problems getting the worm to fill and drain properly, turns out the valves are junk. Snap on washers come loose and block the valve. Eliminated the washers and added a screw on hose shut off valve to regulate the water. Finally after 8 hours of repair work I got all the bugs worked out.
I'm now very happy with it and it works really well but I wish that I had checked out more reviews before I ordered. I spoke with the owner Jon several times and texted with him many times, the problem with contacting him is that you don't know if you'll be talking to Jekel or Hyde.
If I had it to do over I would be shopping elsewhere.

I only rate American copper works at a one because that’s the lowest this site will let you American copper works is absolutely the worst company I have ever tried to do business with I really believe that the good reviews he has on here has been written by themselves the man is a liar needs angry management is is for sure a wannabe thug he will make fun of the state you are from he took my money and he never sent what I paid for I wish I would have read up on him more but after watching the video that he had catfish Cooley do for his company I thought he was a good company but by no means is he I finally had my credit card company go after him and I finally got my money back after 5 months he said on his website that he only takes 1 dollar deposit but that’s another lie he took full payment from me and never had any intentions of sending me my product so if you hear American copper works run run run

On April 3, 2022, I purchase a 6 Gal distillery form American Copper Works. After 10 weeks I called the company and the owner told me I have to wait another 4-6 weeks for my order. In the same conversation told me he has switch merchant and he was moving from NH to 55 S. Patterson St. Valdosta GA. He was supposed to keep in touch with me so I can go meet him in Valdosta, GA. He text me at 11:03pm on June 19, 2022 and told me he was working on my order. The following day I told him I believe he was a scam and he started cursing me. He made me 4 calls in 8 min and he got the name of my business of my voicemail. Tammy Head proceed and leave a bad review on my business, but when I told him I was going to proceed legally with this then they removed the bad review. Mr. American Cooper Works if you don't have the man power to keep your customers happy don't insult them either. You are part of the problem with America. YOU killing our economy when a the Chinese companies can perform better. The reason I purchase your product it was because it was made in the American soil, but you sir are no patriot.

A lot of the negative things said about Jon in these reviews are probably true-ish. He is definitely ruff around the edges but quite frankly so am I. I got a good idea of the type of person he was from our first conversation when he took my order over the phone back in December. He gave me a estimated shipping date of March 29th and reassured me his stills were top notch especially for the price. So after a few hiccups along the way I received my 10gal EZ seal yesterday June 6 and I couldn’t b happier w it. Beautiful, water tight and sturdy as hell. It took 6 months sure, but dude is slammed. Bottom line is this, if u r looking for a quality still at a good price and don’t need it tomorrow then I recommend The distillery Network. Jon will do what u pay him to do…deliver u a quality still!

Absolutely worst company and owner I have ever dealt with. He is very rude and un professional when you ask about a product you paid for and has excuse after excuse. He told me I didn’t deserve his “rig” and he was cancelling my order but still hasn’t refunded my money. He plays games with people and doesn’t deserve anyones hard earned money or business!! Trust me I will get my money but shouldn’t have to go through the headaches. IF YOU ARE SMART DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY BECAUSE HE IS AS UN AMERICAN AS IT GETS. I am not the only one he has done this to and sure I won’t be the last!! This guy is delusional and I will make it my goal to help anyone else from going through the same issues.

Never in my life have I had dealings with such an unprofessional business in my entire life. I ordered a self build kit early February 2021 off of the website with the only time frame showing on the entire site for these kits saying -20 Gallon "EZ KIT" MOONSHINE KIT 2 to 4 weeks shipping A do-it-yourself kit (DIY) is a copper moonshine still manufactured by American Copper Works. A DIY Kit is 20 oz....So, I emailed 2 weeks ago just to check on the progress of the order. The return email stated "1 to 1-1/2 months". Thats was it. nothing else. So after nothing else from them to date, I sent a msg through their site, after a short conversation, the person on the other end stated that if I was in a hurry, it would be best to cancel to order and just get a refund. I agreed and Jonathan said he would refund it today. 2.5 hrs later I receive a call from this - I guess the owner, who begins questioning my integrity because his company can not stand behind their advertised lead time, calling me a F-ing liar, etc.. WHAT. Any who, I would not suggest that anyone ever do business with this company. Wanted to give 0 stars, but Google insists I give 1

Product is great...owner is NOT. Posted our address and mobile numbers and asked followers to harass us on his personal FB page after a misunderstanding. Never tried to start a civil conversation with us, called 70 times within several house, sent inappropriate text messages to myself and harassing messages to my boyfriend. Reached out to my extended family accusing me of drug use. I have no clue how this business rates above 2 stars... What's my constructive response? Please try to approach your customers with respect and a calm attitude when you have a problem, they will be much more inclined to listen. Also, don't call at 6 in the morning.

Beware Of The Distillery Network. They will rip you off. They charged me a 30% restocking fee for something that was not even made. I had to cancel my order because of legality in my state. Did not reply to my email. Nothing on invoice or nothing was said about charging me 30%.

Ordered a you sloder kit. One of the pieces was a little bit off so I contacted the owner. Even though he was out of town on business, he took the time to help me when I needed it. I was offered a replacemt part with expedited shipping, or a refund per the money back guarantee. Quality service and product, I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a very high quality still at a suprisingly affordable price.

The craftsmanship is pretty good. and thought the packaging was fine. very impressed with this still. I grew up in the Appalachians and this is the little still that could. The owner was really nice to me when he realized that I was a combat vet and offered me an extended discount. I've referred a lot of customers to him ever since and their have been no complaints.
