Wonderful way to celebrate the USA's 250 birthday
Great food, great staff on a small riverboat in a beautiful part of the US. Enjoyed learning about Lewis and Clark's explorations in the area.

We are about to begin our National…
We are about to begin our National Parks cruise with American Cruise Lines and are extremely disappointed with the transportation arrangements.
My traveling companion arrives at approximately 9:00 PM, and despite the significant cost of this trip—well over $30,000 for the two of us—American Cruise Lines is not providing transportation from the airport. The only option we have been given is a taxi costing approximately $200.
For a premium-priced cruise line that markets itself as providing exceptional service, this is not what we expected. We understand that transportation policies may vary, but leaving guests to arrange and pay for expensive late-evening transportation after spending this amount on a cruise feels unreasonable.
I am hopeful American Cruise Lines will address this situation, but as of now, this has created a very disappointing start to what we hoped would be a memorable vacation

Microphones on buses were not reliable. Tour guides did very well, considering that.

Its the people
Its the people. American Cruise Lines does an excellent job finding a wonderful, friendly and outgoing crew. Plenty of opportunities to interact with them. I love how though they might be busy at whatever their job is, they take a moment to say hello, and there is always a smile. I enjoy watching new, young, crew members during their first week grow in confidence and relax into their position.
Of course, the small ship experience is so much better than those floating cities. Activities on board and excursions on shore foster friendship among the passengers too. We always look forward to the new friends made on these trips.
