Tire rotation on Audi led to undercarriage and frame major damage
Had my tires rotated on 6/1/26 at America’s Tire in Clovis, CA at 525 W Herndon ave. Tire technician used a floor jack that lifts at an angle and the idiot did not securely attach it to the pinch weld. He lifted the car and it damaged the undercarriage and frame of my 2021 Audi A4 Premium Plus S line. I brought the car back within 24 hours after I noticed the side panelling of the drivers door side coming unattached. I looked under the car for closer inspection and thats when i noticed that damage. I called the manager immediately and agreed to bring the car back in. The manager was arrogant, dishonest and very unprofessional. He dismissed my negative experiences with this store as this is the 2nd mistake that they have made in 2 attempts. When they were installing my new tires back in January 2026, they left a plastic or hardened rubber clip inside the tire. I drove around for a week with the tire light on hoping it would be a mechanical error but sure enough I had to take it back and have them figure out what was wrong. At least, that was fixable. This mistake that they just made with the tire rotation service is a huge DEAL. My car was in pristine shape, just completed the 40,000 mile service which cost a few grand. I took it to an independent professional mechanic who used a square pad to actually lift the vehicle correctly. They did not use a floor jack to lift it on one side as this could definitely cause severe damage to the frame if not hooked on the pinch weld prior to lifting the car. Furthermore, the employee at America’s Tire tried to return the car without saying anything or acknowledging their mistake and the manager of course is not willing to accept responsibility or accountability for his young idiot inexperienced employees, rather he encourages that behavior by not seeking the truth and “if you can’t prove it, then it wasn’t us” mentality. I encourage all of America’s Tire customers to definitely take before and after pictures of your car prior to letting them touch it. Also, the manager said they don’t have cameras which definitely is by design because they know if they recorded all of its employees, they would be filing claims all day everyday. An honest company, would have cameras and would use them to get to the truth. Stay away from this location, as the manager definitely has created an unhonest culture within his ranks and its a shame that at 40 years old, this is the first claim I have ever filed and it’s crazy that America’s Tire management response is to imply that it could have been done by someone else. Ok, then if that’s the case, why did you lift it on a floor jack with a broken undercarriage and frame? You could have seriously hurt someone, or fatally even, had the car fell off the floor jack that was used on a broken pinch weld and not secured properly. So either way, they should not have lifted that car with a floor jack if it was already in that broken state when I gave it to them!!!! Basic logic!
Concerning Service Experience & Additional Charges – Costa Mesa, CA Location
I recently had a disappointing service experience at the America’s Tire location at 2915 Bristol St, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.
I visited to purchase and install a new set of tires on my vehicle, which is equipped with aftermarket Vossen wheels. I provided the correct tools and clearly communicated that the wheels require careful handling.
During service, I was informed that a simple screw securing the wheel cover (center cap)—which must be removed to access the lug nuts—had been stripped and could not be removed. This is a basic, non-structural component and should not be damaged when handled properly.
Instead of resolving the issue, I was directed to a third-party business, Costa Mesa Brakes & Tires Inc., located essentially next door (2945 Randolph Ave, Suite C, Costa Mesa, CA 92626 — approximately a 3-minute walk), where I had to pay $150 out-of-pocket to remove a single screw. I was also told there is an existing working relationship between the two businesses. No alternative solutions were offered, and after waiting nearly three hours, I felt I had no choice but to proceed.
Additionally, one of my wheel covers was damaged while my vehicle was in their care. I was told the damage was pre-existing; however, I have timestamped photos taken immediately prior to service clearly showing it was not. I was then quoted $100 per wheel cover for replacement.
For context, my vehicle had been inspected at another shop the day before with no issues identified, and I have worked with multiple tire shops across Southern California without encountering this type of problem.
Overall, this experience lacked accountability, transparency, and proper handling of a customer’s vehicle. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and leads to improvements in both service quality and customer care.
Warning about my experience doing business here
I’m posting this as a warning.
I scheduled a routine tire installation at America's Tire in Campbell, CA after purchasing tires through Tire Rack. They recommended America’s Tire for installation and sent the tires there.
First, they installed the new tires on the wrong axle. They admitted the mistake and fixed it. When the vehicle was returned to me, I immediately noticed damage while still on site.
Management looked at it, photographed the damage, and a claim was started. Their employee noted no issues on pre-inspection and car had been in America’s Tire’s exclusive control the entire time.
I imagined payment by their insurance to fix damage would have been the end of it. Instead, it was the beginning of months of frustration.
Rather than stepping up and resolving the issue directly, America’s Tire pushed everything to a third party claims administrator. Even after the Better Business Bureau became involved, America’s Tire continued to push us to the third-party administrator.
In my experience, the claims administrator acted as both judge and jury and declined to meaningfully address the specific evidence and questions I raised. They refused to take responsibility and offered only a small “goodwill” payment that is only 22% of the repair estimate. The claim remains unresolved.
I’m not asking you to decide who is telling the truth. I am saying that if your vehicle is damaged at America’s Tire, in my experience be prepared for a difficult process and a company that does not stand behind you.
I deeply regret using this location and would not trust them with my car again. If you choose to use them, document everything in detailed photos before and after service.
will WASTE many hours of your time
If I could assign ZERO stars, I would. This is THE WORST customer service experience in a long time. It took days to get all four tires to the Valley Central location. When they came in, I made an appointment & explained to the employees about the significant distance I have to drive to the location. My appointment was for 11 AM for which I was on-time. I paid in full & took a seat. AFTER MORE than TWO HOURS, I asked when my truck would be done. I was told "next." This was AFTER watching at least FOUR people enter the store AFTER me, but leaving with their vehicles DONE BEFORE me. When I started making more of a fuss, I was again told "next." But AGAIN watched as two other vehicles were finished BEFORE mine. Although I had told the employees that the truck was a manual transmission, they sent out a kid who could not drive it; MORE WAIT. When the truck was finally in the bay, Aiden (?) came to pacify me. When I told him about the other people getting priority, he said: "but what if they needed an alignment?" WHAT? Are they doing jobs by alphabet: A for alignment, first, T is for tires, last?! But I was assured the job would be professional & quality! ha, ha .. . BECAUSE the check-tire light is still on on my dash! so the employees put the tires on, inflated them AND did nothing else at all. Now I have to take the truck to another tire store or mechanic to get balance, alignment & make sure about this installation. Total waste of my time & quite a waste of money. Nearly ALL tire stores do balance & alignment as part of four new tires purchase.
Bad Valve Stem cost us almost $300
The front tire on my wife's car was flat, but that was due to (a) a leak at the valve stem, and (b) a leak on the rim. It should have been an easy and inexpensive repair to replace the wheel valve stem. BUT, AMERICA'S TIRE SIGNAL HILL, CA store Manager convinced a family member that the tire was defective, and produced the tire [after it was removed from the rim] that was filled with ground rubber. It appeared that someone had taken ground rubber from somewhere else and filled the empty tire, making it appear the tire had ground itself down, even though the car had NOT been driven.
So the Signal Hill, CA store ended up selling us a new tire costing almost $300 when the repair should have been easy and inexpensive by merely replacing that defective valve stem.
It appears that the word THIEVES is spelled 'AMERICA'S TIRE, SIGNAL HILL, CA'.
PLEASE lock up your wallet and credit cards before entering the Signal Hill store. They are slicker than a greased pig in a mud pit. Yes, the are 'PRO', but only at separating you from your money.
ONE [1] star is far too generous for these thieves, but it's the minimum required level to leave a rating.
Amazing Experience!
I called and ordered tires from Matt at the Placerville CA location. Carlos called me the next day and let me know they arrived and to come on down. He price matched my tires, and I received a huge discount. I even asked if he could do my wiper blades, he said no problem at all. Kalin did my service, very nice man. He even asked me which side I wanted facing out prior to installation. Great company, amazing employees, I will definitely be back!

I needed a tire rotation so I called (Ventura CA store) and was told there would be no charge for the tire rotation. I called back a few days later to verify it was free and was told it be $40. I made an appointment and when I got there I was told it would be $60. I left without paying the $40 and felt like they were trying to cheat me.

"I strongly advise against conducting any business with this particular Americas Tire location. During my recent service, my vehicle sustained significant damage to the tires and wheels. When confronted, the business demonstrated a complete lack of accountability, refusing to acknowledge the damage and instead attempting to dismiss the complaint. I believe this lack of professionalism and subsequent cover-up is a direct failure of the owner/ management.
This issue has been escalated and is currently under investigation by the BBB."

Five stars for the AT in Goleta. They fixed my flat for free, and installed 4 new tires for a very reasonable price and as a walk in. Everybody was super nice and I will buy there again.
Unreliable Service and Removal of My…
Unreliable Service and Removal of My Good Tire
On October 21, 2024, I visited America`s Tire to replace my two front tires. My front right tire had a nail, and my front left tire had a patch. My rear tires were in excellent condition and factory-installed (my car has only 9,000 miles on it). I left my car and returned two hours later as instructed.
A week later, I noticed a low tire pressure warning for my rear left tire. Upon inspection, I realized that this tire was the same patched tire that had previously been on the front left. Additionally, my original rear left tire, which was in excellent condition, had been replaced without my knowledge.
When I brought this issue to the store, the manager denied any mistake. I requested that the rear tires be replaced with matching ones, considering my car is AWD and mismatched tires can cause mechanical issues. Unfortunately, I was told I would have to pay additional fees to resolve this.
I trusted America`s Tire to provide professional service, but this experience has been frustrating. If my issue is not resolved, I will consider filing a complaint with the BBB, taking the matter to consumer protection agencies, and working with a lawyer to address this situation.
I hope this feedback helps others make informed decisions.

Tire Screw Up by America's Tire - Big Time!
I ordered full set of tires for my vehicle with the Northridge CA location 3 weeks ago and was told they would come in within a week and they will call me and set up appt for installation. I never got a call. A week later I got an email saying the tires were in. I called and made an appt for installation and asked why I did not get a call as promised. I was told they're having computer issues. When I arrived for my installation appt and they checked my current tires on my vehicle, I was told that the tires that were ordered were not the size currently on my vehicle. When I asked why was that? I was told "they don't know". They have my customer vehicle on record that shows I've always bought the size I ordered (18"). For some reason they ordered 20". No one ever called me to ask a question if they were confused. Not even the manager Chris had an answer as to why they screwed up. They offered to re-order more tires that would take another week to arrive. Just how can you trust a tire company to order the size you request instead of something different? You can't since they cannot tell me why they screwed up originally. I took my money elsewhere.
Great price and fast service
I recently replaced all four tires on my Ford Escape. I initially went to Costco and they quoted me 1130 and told me to wait for 2 weeks. I went to America's Tire in Redwood City. They gave me the same tires for $1070 and installed them in 45 minutes!
If you must use America’s Tire, send a man to the location.
On 09/26/2022 my Wife and Mother in law visited America’s Tire Santa Rosa, CA location. The purpose of her visit was to get one of her tires fixed or replaced. Two days prior to her arrival, I phoned America’s Tire and explained our problem to them. The man I spoke to said the back left tire should not need to be filled every week and that there was obviously something wrong with it if it drops below 10 PSI after a weeks time.
My wife was turned away after a 4 hour wait.
This happened because it was my wife who made the 100 mile trip. If I would have taken the car in, I would have received the same great service I had received when I first purchased the tires. But because my wife, a woman, and her Mother, also a woman, brought the car in… they were turned away after waiting 4 hours for help. They were also talked down to by the floor manager. They were made to feel stupid and inferior. They were asked technical questions that they had no idea how to answer and when they couldn’t answer they were turned away. Maybe if they would have called me, a man, I could have answered the questions and they would have helped my wife. But, we live in the mountains and get very poor phone service.
The manager, Chris, and another employee, Jessie, must have made the firm decision not to help my wife before they even heard the facts because once the facts were given to them, all they could do was belittle my wife and turn her away.
I don’t do a lot of online reviews. Only when I’ve had exceptionally great service or really terrible service. I received great service at America’s Tire in Walnut Creek, CA. My wife had a terrible experience at the America’s Tire in Santa Rosa, CA. I hope when the corporate office sees this review they take a look at the video camera footage from 09/26/2022 to verify all of this. I’m sure Chris and Jessie will have their own story about how they provided the same service to my wife as they would a man. But they are lying. And every employee and customer in the room knows it.
I encourage other women who have had similar experiences at America’s Tire to speak up and tell their stories.
My wife is driving home on a bad tire tonight. 14 Miles of the trip will be on a dirt road with a steep cliff on her passenger side. I’m worried sick and all I can do is hope that she takes it very slow. I need her to get home safe.
The sexist behavior has to stop. There are both Men and Women who don’t understand mechanic speak. When I don’t understand something, it often gets explained to me. When a woman doesn’t understand something, she get’s taken advantage of. I wish it weren’t true but this is not the last time this will happen to my wife or mother in law. You all know what I’m talking about.
Until people at America’s Tire can figure these things out, I implore you to look elsewhere for your tire service. If you must use America’s Tire, send a man to the location.
Keep doing what you’re doing..
I’ve always had a great experience every time I’ve been here. Fast, courteous, service.
