Less than a star! This company bought our mortgage and I want to transfer to a different company ASAP. Their customer service is a joke- they can't answer simple questions, you can't talk to the people you need to talk to, an they give you conflicting information. We were banned from online payments due to their screwups- NOT ours- and now they will not even review our reasons why

Best experience EVER refinancing my home. Working w/AmeriHome and my loan officers Megan and Nancy have been amazing. I can't express enough, of the outstanding customer, professionalism and knowledge of the terms of this loan. They placed me at ease throughout the whole process. The both went way and beyond communicating and answering my calls/email in such rapid time. I would HIGHLY recommend AmeriHome and if you're lucky enough to get these two super stars to work with. Can't wait to work with them in the future!

Megan and Irene were amazing. They were very prompt in their responses to my questions, and always kind and helpful as I went through the refinance process. They were both very knowledgeable about the process and always gave me specific information about what I needed to do or to complete by a specific due date. I would highly recommend working with these ladies. They're the best!

Megan, my initial contact, was fantastic. Starting with guiding me through tips to improve my credit before I was eligible, then explaining things to me about current loan, and even going above and beyond by having plans to improve future refis as rates change and credit improves. Irene was great also with helping me get the right documentation ready and being so responsive and interactive. AmeriHome is lucky to have both of them on their team!

I am writing this review for two reasons:

1. To warn others about doing business with Amerihome
2. To inform and prompt action from the Amerihome leadership team

I paid my mortgage in full on August 30, 2022. That was 378 days ago. I still do not have my lien release. Yes, 378 days after paying off my mortgage in full (with confirmation from Amerihome!) I still do not have a release from my lien.

That in itself is bad, but the worst part is that it is preventing me from being able to close on my small business loan through a different lender. THE ACTIONS/INACTIONS OF THIS COMPANY ARE PREVENTING MY SMALL BUSINESS FROM GETTING FUNDING FOR NO JUSTIFIABLE REASON. I have been bounced around to different groups within Amerihome and cannot get a straight answer about what is going on. It has supposedly been 'escalated', but it is clear we have different definitions of that given it remains unresolved. I cannot even get a call returned on the status of my issue. Each person I speak to it is like ground hog day trying to explain the situation. To make matters even more infuriating, there is no one from leadership that I can directly speak to who can actually resolve this issue.

I am hoping this can turn into a save-the-day story from Amerihome leadership, but it is far more likely trending towards intervention from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

An absolute nightmare! At first I was paying via mail w 2 money orders, from each primary account, equalling my total. They returned my checks saying they were ‘noncompliant’ & then charged a late fee! Next month, I sent 2 bank checks from my same accounts & they claimed 1 bounced when clearly it had not. They charged a late fee & reported the payments as late to my credit bureau. I filed a complaint & they changed their statement from ‘noncompliant’ payments to I was making ‘partial payments’. Tried to beat them at their game & paid online for May, June, July, & Aug. Now they’re claiming my bank is reversing the payments when my statements clearly reflect the money is NOT in my account. They have now reported all these months as missing payments to the credit bureaus. This has impacted my credit score to the point of inhalation. So, who has my money? These people are predators! Deplorable! Thank god I’ve gotten free advice from an attorney but I’m still battling.
