Sadly we had high hopes for this swim school for our little ones (1yr olds) but as previously written in older reviews it has been a total waste of money.
No guidance during “lessons” I wouldn’t call them lessons but floats in a pool session with a few nursery rhymes thrown in. Young immature teachers who just want to chat and splash each other which wasn’t exactly professional. The girls have learnt nothing from this and we’ve wasted money. Perhaps the instructors would like to go watch other swim schools lessons and learn a few things - this isn’t a patch on the likes of Turtle Tots or Water babies! Letting Angela’s name down massively!

Waste of time/money.

My wife took swimming lessons with Angela, swim school which has held at Notre Dame school to improve confidence with her breaststroke and getting her head under the water line during that process. The progress has been extremely slow if not appalling, and my wife is always deflated when she gets back in the car to go home. Week after week she’s been demoralised by the process and a lack of attention of the instructor(s). Myself being a qualified dive leader, accomplished many swimming competitions I have a full understanding of how to swim and how to teach people. I therefore decided to sit in one of the benches poolside and watch my wife “learning to swim “. I found it quite frustrating. There was a lack of attention from the instructor and when my wife was doing something clearly wrong in the technique, I found it frustrating that the instructor had no inkling to make her aware of what she was doing wrong and improve what she was doing. It's as if they wanted her to fail. I politely went up, spoke to my wife to make a correction in a swimming to improve what she was doing. Then five minutes later, a more senior person came to me and said spectators aren’t allowed in the seats around the perimeter of the swimming pool, despite the fact that there were other spectators sitting in there too. From what I can see and what we have experienced they’re using young people as “instructors” and there was no real attentiveness, or guidance when needed to improve things. On the other hand, I constantly get emails from Angela swim school to book the next swimming sessions, which is an absolute joke. So I definitely wouldn’t recommend this company if you want to learn to swim.

I paid for the term and did not receive any further information about how to get in to the school etc, I decided to just turn up to the first session and my child’s name wasn’t even on the list. The sessions were basically young staff just dragging my kid across the pool instead of her using her limbs. Armbands are mandatory but are a hinderance. We had 4 lessons cancelled on us due to multiple reasons and refused a refund at £15 a lesson! Absolute joke of a company. And they are impossible to get hold of. They ignore your emails (the only way to contact them) yet they bombard you with promotional texts every day and emails multiple times a day asking you to buy this, that and the other! Just after money! Lessons are useless.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever

I asked them about the renewal, they allowed me to pay and once I paid they told me a few swimmers in the previous term were over assessed.

We felt lied to and deceived by their explanation and asked for our money back which they just ignored.

I am chasing since May they just don’t care.

I even paid for a badge and they don’t bother to send it to me, even if I enquired how to get it.

I would never pay for any lessons with them!
