Non-existent customer support
I received a damaged dough roller with my brand new machine and I immediately emailed Ankarsrum to request a replacement. They advertise a 7 year warranty, so this shouldn't be an issue, right? You would certainly hope so with how much their machines cost.
But what good is a 7 year warranty if the customer service department is unresponsive and generally seems to have a disdain for their customers?
I have been patient, I have assumed the best intentions, I have given them every benefit of the doubt, but they've repeatedly failed to live up to the standards of customer service that are present even on AliExpress, never mind the premium brand they pretend to be.
Whenever they asked for something I would promptly respond with whatever they requested, then they would go on to ignore me for a week or more, I've had to nag them every few days to get any kind of response at all.
They've asked for photos, they've asked for my invoice, they asked for my shipping address and they assured me, in no uncertain terms, that they would ship out a replacement part. This was over 2 weeks ago and they haven't responded since.
This is by far the most terrible customer service department I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. Their 7 year warranty is worthless when they have no intention of honoring it, especially when it's something as trivial as a replacement piece of plastic that's worth $5.
It's not even about the cost of the replacement part, it's about the principle at this point.
Above all, I resent them for the fact that they've wasted a month of my time instead of just being up front with the fact that they don't have any intention of honoring their warranty.
