No standards
We were fooled by their nice website and quick quoting and made the mistake of committing to being their customer for a number of tasks and regretted not testing them on a smaller job first.
- Communication. Very poor (literally weeks to reply) and invariably wrong updates when we did get them.
- Coordination. Basically none. Started some tasks quickly but then left them in a mess for months (e.g they removed the steps to our front door then didn’t replace them for 4 months).
- Timelines. Very poor. Delayed on literally everything (not just by a few days but by months).
- Quality Control. Basically none. Contractors frequently not sure what they were supposed to be doing, or had the wrong guidance. Very little work finished to a reasonable standard.
- Skills. Very low. They mainly used unqualified/inexperienced workers (admitted by the workers).
- Consideration. Very low. Contractors would show up unannounced and consider our home an open building site.
- Final product. Very poor. Unable to finish tasks after 7 months that were supposed to take 2 weeks. The work that was supposed to be completed was of amateur quality.
They avoid 1 star due to admitting to being sub-standard and eventually agreeing to settle as they were unable to complete carpentry, brickwork, tiling, and even painting in-line with the contract. However, this is not enough to cover the remaining (and corrective) work required. It was overall a lengthy, time consuming, and expensive experience with an extremely poor outcome.
