Please AVOID using this company
I used AntikBar as a middleman service to linen back a very sought after 1980's poster, worth upwards of £800.
When it arrived at their premises and they opened it to inspect the contents, one of their staff damaged my poster.
It was left with several vertical colour breaking creases that weren't there before.
I know this because I kept proof, and took photos of the poster before posting it to them.
I paid £150 for the linen backing service (excluding postage) to preserve the poster, and make it easy for framing before consigning to auction.. but some brute couldn't take the time to handle it carefully.
Unfortunately the owner, Kirill, didn't offer much in the way of an apology or a partial refund for the damage.
Instead he implied that the colour-breaking creases were already present before I'd sent it so denied responsibility.
Please, please, please save yourself potential disappointment!
Send your valuable posters directly to a paper conservator for linen backing and don't use this company as a middleman service.
