A 2 star for the claims website. The lack of website engagement after member login on the status of our claim is a disservice. The user experience for the claims web pages has a big opportunity as we found the claims area on the website to be useless.

I am very disappointed with ANWB…
I am very disappointed with ANWB Insurance. After an accident in the Philippines, I was assured my travel insurance would cover all health costs. I submitted all required documents over two weeks ago and have followed up multiple times with no response.
I've also emailed to cancel my insurance and received no reply. This lack of communication and support is unacceptable.
If this issue isn’t resolved promptly, I will file a complaint with Rijksoverheid. I urge ANWB to address this immediately. I caution others to reconsider trusting ANWB for their insurance needs.

This is already unfortunate enough, and we understand that you want to be helped as soon as possible. To assist you in the best way possible, we want to process the claim carefully, which can sometimes take a bit longer before you receive a response. If you want to know the current status of your claim, we recommend contacting us by phone at 088 299 3000. This way, we can answer all your questions directly. You applied for your travel insurance on 21-09-2024. Since you cannot cancel your insurance within the first year, we cannot terminate your policy immediately. This will be possible from 21-09-2025. We hope this provides some clarity. We are happy to give you an update on the status of your claim over the phone.

I called ANWB after years today and it was a very pleasant experience. The Klantenservice team was helpful, answered my questions accurately and also transferred me to the right department.

Dont even think about using them ,nothing more than a bunch of criminals hiding behind the law, even if you do use them never i mean never alow them automatic incasso,they will burn you like no other,and charge insurancie retroactive for months that passed 3 x or 4x more for their own fantasy reasons

ANWB is the little ugly brother of the ADAC. Horrible Service
I had my car insurance running over the ANWB because I moved from Germany to the Netherlands and always had my insurrance in the hands of the ADAC (the german equivalent to the dutch ANWB). I expected a similar service and just in general a good and serviceoriented company... Oh well I couldnt have been more wrong about that.
The whole service is horrific. You wait ages for answers and always get generic replys (never from the same employee). Nobody cares about you or what you need. The create invoices that dont make any sense at all and cant explain it to you when you ask them ("just pay it for now and we see what we can do"). Never met a company that is less professional than the ANWB. I terminated my insurance with them and switched to a normal company now. Never again ANWB
