Very poor design and bad service

Over 40 years skiing, I’ve tried just about every ski boot there is.
I decided to give these a try after seeing some advertisements for them, but not being able to find any credible reviews.
As it turns out its because Apex seems to have bad reviews removed and there are no good ones.

I will attempt to save you all the trouble.

The tongue of the boot has a rigid spot that I can only describe as someone shoving a hammer down the front of your boot. It digs into your lower shin enough to cause bruising. There is no way to mould shape or fit this out.

The boot itself they describe as fitting one size small. It measured 2.5 sizes small.
So if you even can jam your foot into it, it will not be very comfortable. I promise you that.
Which would be fine if you could return them, however, if you look in the fine print, there are no returns and no refunds.
Another big red flag.
This is the type of company that sells something once and never again hoping to get rich quick.

The frame for the boot is made of carbon fibre and not moldable at all. If you are very lucky and you have a very narrow heel and mid foot, it will fit in. Probably.
But for a boot that they tout as being the ultimate in adjustability, I find this ridged framed being completely unadjustable of very poor design. It comes up diagonally, right where your foot widens out at the arch when you put weight on it.
So if you’re sitting on the chairlift, it’s OK but the minute you step down, it digs into the side of your foot.

I complained several times to the company with no reply until I told them I was going to the masses with this.
This incited an aggressive response blaming me for buying the boot without reading the fine print about returns and not knowing how to put boots on properly.

Most comfortable. Great cust service.

I have skid apex boots for maybe 6 years. They are absolutely the most comfortable and customer service is great. This year one boa broke in the middle of a ski trip. Apex sent me a replacement boot that got to me in 48 hours, free.

When I have to replace boots I will buy apex again. I would buy one of the stiffer models. But definitely apex
