Will try a more modern room next time.

Had a 2 night stay in room 3 ( the love suite)
Was totally underwhelmed by the room unfortunately.
The bed base and headboard is on its last legs the sofa is nearly thred bare it needs a make over it just looks tacky, outdated, cold, drab and run down.
The bathroom however was more impressive, it was lovely and warm and the spa bath, hot tub ,steam room and 2 TVs all worked perfectly fine. Needs some seating in there though because it's nicer than sitting in the bedroom.
The staff was all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast I can't fault in any way brought to the room each morning ( has to be ordered on your phone day before but it's really straightforward) by friendly staff with a good morning and a smile. I would stay again as we did enjoy our time there but would try a more modern room.

Do not stay here

Do not stay here. After a 100mile journey we arrived to a very disappointing room, apparently a luxury suite. Not clean and in very poor condition and finish with lots of stains that looked like bodily fluids we left and drove the long journey back home. Then got offered a free cancellation, free cancellation of what? A dump that we’d already left. Joke. How can it be 386.40 per night when room is no bigger than a standard hotel room. Pictures on booking.com make the room something it’s not

Do not book the Love Nest

Firstly I would like to thank the staff who were great in providing a full refund without any argument at all, very professional and extremely accommodating. They get 5*

Next the property …

DO NOT BOOK THE LOVE NEST CABIN.WE LEFT AFTER APPROX 30 MINS.

I normally fully check reviews etc when booking a hotel or accommodation, unfortunately I didn’t in this case as we had already stayed in Aphrodites boutiques spa properties approx 2 years ago and it was lovely and worth every penny.
However the LOVE NEST accommodation is not worth a penny of my money, please note the following issues if considering booking this accommodation:

. These properties are dog friendly , evidenced by our shack smelling of wet dog.
. The outdoor hot tub also smells terribly and your basically sat in a really really small outdoor space overlooking a car park.
. Photos on the website do not accurately represent the accommodation and make it seem a lot larger than it actually is , there is infact little room to get passed the bed if there are two of you.
. The steam room come shower is tiny and extremely claustrophobic I’ve no idea why any one would get any enjoyment in using this as a steam room.
. The whole place is rundown and dirty , we have been told a refurb is due in approx 12 months , all well and good but the high end prices charged for its current state are not reflective of what you are getting.

All in all just utterly disappointed, I booked this property for my wife’s anniversary ! Luckily we are still happily married , even after her spending 30 mins in this property.

I stayed at this lodge on [dates] and…

I stayed at this lodge on 25/1/2026and paid a deposit, which has not been returned despite multiple follow-ups. Communication after checkout was poor, and I was given no clear explanation or timeline for the refund.

The stay itself was average, but the way the deposit was handled completely overshadowed the experience. A refundable deposit should be returned promptly when no issues are reported, and that didn’t happen here.

I would not recommend staying here unless you’re prepared to potentially chase your own money afterward.

I would also say receptionist also holds title of an assistant manager but lacks person centred skills or values. She could not demonstrate management level skills such as responding properly to a request to escalate the complaint. Poor manners and lack of insight showed from start to finish. It appears they are using the holding deposit as an additional stream of income off unaware guests who are not causing any type of anti social behaviour and it is extremely misleading to take advantage of people in this way. It did not outline the terms correctly such as a noise limiter on the tv which should be the case if they are reinforcing quietness and don’t want you using this by a certain hour

Not as advertised and shocking service!

Not as advertised and shocking service!
The only poisitive note was the room we had (the antheia suite) looked beautiful on arrival. However first thing we noticed upon check-in, we were not informed of any manual or guide for operating the room’s facilities so took ages to work out how to use the sauna and hot tub. We also soon discovered multiple issues: the TV, hot tub, and bath all had faults.
We first called reception for assistance as we had a “zero connection” message on the TV. The maintenance man who attended informed us he wasn’t the right person for the job and that the other technician was off. While he managed to remove the message, the screen then began glitching and freezing, with the sound repeatedly cutting out. We also mentioned the leaking bath, not wanting to be blamed for existing damage, and were told a part was on order.
We then called again about the TV and another staff member dismissed the issue, blaming “the weather.” From experience, I know this was not the case — it was clearly an aerial problem. He then made a comment that we could “at least use Netflix” came across as dismissive and unprofessional, especially given the premium price of £350 and the added late checkout fee of £30 for the suite, where a working television should be standard!
When we decided to use the hot tub, we found the jets were not functioning at all. We simply sat in still hot water with lights — far from the relaxing experience advertised
On top of this, noise levels seriously impacted our rest. We could hear the neighbouring suite using their hot tub late into the evening (around 11 p.m.), which we accepted as reasonable. However, at 7 a.m., we were abruptly woken by extremely loud noise from what we believed was the upstairs hot tub, continuing until 9:30 a.m. Because our room was designed with curved walls it created a bellowing sound that kept my partner and I awake and had to escape to outside because of the extreme noise. Once that stopped it was followed by loud music. I called reception at 7 a.m. but was told the issue couldn’t be investigated until those guests checked out. My initial frustration was that they get you to sign a document on arrival to say if you make extreme noise or damage anything they can charge you different prices from £100 to £350. To have this document why then have hot tub usage rules if they are not enforced? My partner and I followed all the rules carefully, yet our experience was disrupted by others who did not. All I wanted in that moment was for them to ring that suite and say it creates a bellowing sound but can have it on for the agreed 9.30 am. The walls were super thin that you could hear other guests moving around and switching lights
Breakfast was another disappointment — the bacon was undercooked/pale, and the croissants were burnt and I mean they got delivered to us black. Which only reinforced the impression that the business lacks care and attention to detail.
Overall, I really want to warn people about this hotel as I spoke about my concerns numerously throughout our stay and after over email and was ignored. They really dont care how you think or feel about their business and just scam artists in my eyes ripping people off. None of our issues were ever properly resolved; instead, we were given excuses rather than genuine solutions or apologies. The combination of poor sleep, faulty facilities, and dismissive service has left a lasting negative impression. Please dont waste your money thinking it will be a relaxing and luxury experience as like us you will be extremely disappointed

Outstanding stay!

We were gifted a voucher for a two night stay, we rang and redeemed this over the phone and they granted the online advanced purchase price.

On check in we were greeted with a glass of prosecco and the staff were so warming and inviting.

We were given the key to the room and headed straight over. On entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised that it actually looked like the photos!

We unpacked and got straight in the hot tub - the temperature was perfect 👌🏼. The robes and slippers for guests use at no additional cost was lovely.

The fridge was stocked with cold fresh water which was nice. We phoned reception and asked for some plates (as we brought picky bits IYKYK) & an ice bucket - no exaggerating, 5 minutes later they were at the door with what we requested.

The following morning breakfast was delivered and it was fantastic - the cooked breakfast was exactly how we ordered it and piping hot. The croissants were so fresh too, I dont think it could have been better.

As we headed out for the day we popped to reception to ask for a quick towel change and some more bottles of water; on our return they had done a full service (bed made, change of towels, bins emptied etc).

Second morning, again breakfast came exactly how we ordered it, piping hot and fresh! We couldn't fault it.

Check out was as smooth as check in and we will definitely be back. As other family members have stayed numerous times over the years and they are booked in again for October this year.

Please dont let the few bad reviews put you off. The staff couldn't do enough for us, the quality of the food provided and the amenities were fantastic.

We cant wait to return to try out a different suite.

False accusations and not returning deposit

We booked this room for our wedding anniversary.
3 hours after leaving the property, we received an email stating that they would not be returning the £100 deposit you pay when checking in.
They claimed that we had put bubble bath in the hot tub, and they had to drain it.
When asked to speak to a manager, we were told they were not there and to email instead.
After looking into this company, it has become clear that many other paying customers have had similar experiences; being accused of things that cannot be proved or disproved.
If you dig deep into all social media platforms, and Internet review pages, you will find a pattern of disgruntled, out of pocket, angry customers.
Use this company at your own risk, because they are scammers!
