Terrible App usage and Proctor experience
I had a very terrible experience while trying to write my exam, and I would like to highlight several serious issues I encountered.
First, the app itself was extremely difficult to use. When I attempted to begin the exam, I was unexpectedly redirected to a completely different page. It felt as though my laptop was being controlled remotely without clear explanation, which was both confusing and concerning. This situation continued for over 15 minutes, leaving me anxious and unsure of what was happening.
Due to the frustration, I was forced to close everything and restart the entire process. Even after doing so, I spent nearly half an hour trying to connect to a proctor on ProctorU. The delay was excessive and unacceptable for a time-sensitive exam.
When I was finally connected, the assigned proctor (invigilator) was extremely unprofessional. Communication was unclear, and the screening process felt disorganized and unnecessarily stressful. Instead of helping me feel prepared, the interaction added to my frustration.
Overall, the entire ProctorU check-in and proctoring process was slow, complicated, and highly stressful. This experience created unnecessary pressure and negatively affected my ability to focus on the exam.
I strongly recommend improving the app’s usability, reducing connection delays, and ensuring that proctors are better trained to provide a more professional and supportive experience for test-takers.
