Incredible insight and practical training, wish I’d joined sooner!

As a professional dog boarder and trainer, I have taken numerous courses throughout my career, but I truly wish I had discovered The Academy sooner.
I was introduced to it when a friend and fellow trainer invited me to the in-person Play Therapy seminar. Seeing Jo-Rosie’s incredible wealth of knowledge firsthand blew me away, to say I was impressed is a massive understatement.

What sets this training apart is how effortlessly she breaks down complex science into easy to understand concepts, while covering the day to day practicalities better than anywhere else in the industry. This membership is worth every single penny and more. Highly recommended!

Bite-Sized Lessons, Massive Career Value

After 18+ months as a member, I'm completely hooked on the content! The bite-sized, practical insights from Jo-Rosie are invaluable. This is easily one of the best subscriptions I’ve ever invested in—it's become an incredible alternative to one-on-one virtual mentorship.

I have been watching Jo's videos for…

I have been watching Jo's videos (The Academy) for just over two weeks now and find them the most informative, no nonsense information and training videos I have ever seen! I recently adopted a rescue who is 10 months old and loaded full of reactive energy. My other dog is a labrador and the polar opposite of the rescue so I am definitely not used to all the energy. I was at a total loss at how I could help this rescue become the best she could be and wondering what I had done by taking her on. Thanks to Jo I feel like we will get through these adolescent stages and both be better for it. I thank you, and the dogs thank for sharing your expertise with the world. Much gratitude! Outstanding Education and…

I honestly cannot recommend Jo-Rosie and the Institute of Applied Canine Science highly enough!

The Academy offers incredible value for money. Not only do you have access to an extensive library of detailed, informative training videos, but there are also monthly group Zoom sessions, 1:1 Zooms and ongoing support. Jo is always on hand via text or email to answer those burning questions, and nothing ever feels like too much trouble.

What I love most about Jo is her approach to teaching. She is calm, factual, incredibly knowledgeable and has a wonderful ability to explain even complex subjects in a way that is easy to understand. She doesn’t just tell you what is happening or how to approach something; she explains the why behind behaviours and training methods. For me, that deeper understanding is where the real learning happens.

Having already undertaken other canine training and behaviour qualifications, I genuinely feel that the Academy has provided the missing link in my education so far. It has helped me connect the dots, build on my existing knowledge and develop a much deeper understanding of canine behaviour.

I also recently attended one of Jo’s two-day, in-person clinics, which was absolutely outstanding. We worked through real-life cases covering everything from puppy reactivity to resource guarding. Being able to observe, discuss and learn from these situations in a practical environment was invaluable, particularly for me as a relatively new dog trainer. It really brought the theory to life.

Whether you’re just starting your journey as a dog trainer or behaviourist, or you’ve been working in the industry for years, I genuinely believe there is something to be gained from the Academy.

An exceptional learning experience, fantastic ongoing support and, above all, an educator who is passionate about sharing her knowledge and helping others understand dogs better.

Without hesitation, five stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ive been a dog training for a few…

Ive been a dog trainer for a few years, gone through the various big named training courses, colleges and institutes and have always gone in hopeful and optimistic. But left feeling underwhelmed and never happy with the level, depth or content of the training they provided.

Ive come across Jo-Rosie on several podcasts and when I heard about her starting an academy for dog trainers it sparked my interest. Ive always thought the way she delivers the information and the depth of knowledge she goes into, has been superior to other people and training companies.

I wasn’t disappointed in the content and it has only gotten better as Jo-Rosie has added more and more to the academy.

Looking forwards to seeing how far she can take it.

The Academy from Jo-Rosie Haffenden is…

The Academy from Jo-Rosie Haffenden is really the best money you can spend on dog training education at the moment.

She manages to cram so much detail into every video, but in a way that is really engaging and easy to follow.

There is content across the basics of becoming a dog trainer right through to in-depth behavioural lectures, business advice, and also just fun stuff to train with your own dogs.

The ability to access live Q&A sessions as well as 1:1 Zoom calls with Jo helps enormously to add clarity to my understanding of the content, and access to Jo's live workshops really makes it a very complete way to learn about dog training and behaviour.

Unlike a lot of subscriptions, there is new content coming all the time, and Jo regularly covers topics that Academy members have requested.

All of the content is focused on education rather than ideology, which is so incredibly essential for new and experienced dog trainers at the moment, while having a really strong focus on ethical training.

I've recommended the academy to other dog trainer friends, as well as many randoms on the internet, because it's just so easy to recommend without hesitation, regardless of your background.
